Performance Comparison of Clustering Validity Indices with Business Applications (경영사례를 이용한 군집화 유효성 지수의 성능비교)

  • Clustering is one of the leading methods to analyze big data and is used in many different fields. This study deals with Clustering Validity Index (CVI) to verify the effectiveness of clustering results. We compare the performance of CVIs with business applications of various field. In this study, the used CVIs for comparing performance are DU, CH, DB, SVDU, SVCH, and SVDB. The first three CVIs are well-known ones in the existing research and the last three CVIs are based on support vector data description. It has been verified with outstanding performance and qualified as the application ability of CVIs based on support vector data description.

  • During a fast decade, an automatic control technology makes an aggressive improvement with the developments of computer and communication technology. In large scale and complicated systems, an autonomous decentralized control system is required in which the sub-systems must have some ability such that the self-judgement and self-performance functions. In this paper, we propose an algorithm to realized these functions using micro mobile robot which is applied to a control of a werehouse. The proposed algorithm is based on performance index, and the selecting rules of the task between the sub-systems are induced by the index. Also, it is effected by weighting function which is determined by environment and kind of works. To verify the effectiveness of this algorithm, we develop the simulator to implement the autonomous decentralized control and apply to the micro mobile robot on the PC machine.

  • The reduction of $CO_2$ emissions has been a key target in the Marine Industry since the IMO's Marine Environment Protection Committee published its findings in 2009. The representative emission index is termed as the EEDI (Energy Efficiency Design Index) for the new ships. Among various flow control techniques ever proposed, the air lubrication method is the one of most promising one in terms of practical applicability. The present study examines the basic characteristics of the flat plate test with intention of applying the air lubrication technology to the reduction of the resistance of a ship. Image analysis technique is proposed as a tool to quantify the effectiveness of the air lubrication method.

  • The ‘AEIPR’(Accelerometer Established Inertial Profiling Reference) method has been applied to measure the road profile. The dynamic road profiling method using AEIPR has the advantages of cost effectiveness, measuring speed and relatively high reliability. However, it is required to improve the double integration algorithm to get the measurement results with the accuracy of hither level. In the first part of this paper, the effective double integration algorithm is suggested and the ‘Road Profiler’ software is developed on the basis of the algorithm. Road profiling tests are performed using the developed ‘Road Profiler’ system on the specially designed tracks for the durability tests and the various types of pubic roads. Test results are shown and evaluated by the international road evaluation indicies and classification.

A Case Report of Atopic Dermatitis treated by Soshiho-tang based on Shanghanlun Provisions (『상한론(傷寒論)』 변병진단체계(辨病診斷體系)에 근거하여 소시호탕(小柴胡湯)을 투여한 양명병(陽明病) 아토피 피부염 치험 1례)

  • Objective : This case report presents the effect of Soshiho-tang on Atopic Dermatitis. The patient was diagnosed with Yangmyung-byung based on Shanghanlun provisions. Methods : According to Shanghanlun six meridian patterns diagnostic system, we dianosed the patient as Yangmyung-byung and he had trouble getting out of bed and nighttime itch. The patient was treated with Soshiho-tang. We evaluated the results of treatment by Objective SCORAD Index and pictures. Results : After the treatment, Objective SCORAD Index decreased from 61 to 21.5. And he became to have no trouble in getting up and also nighttime itch vanished. Conclusions : This case report sowed and effectiveness of using Soshiho-tang according to Diagnostic system based on Shanghanlun provisions on Atopic Dermatitis.

  • Objective : This case report aims to show the effect of Osuyu-tang on an atopic dermatitis. The patient was diagnosed with Yangmyung-byung based on Shanghanlun provisions. Methods : According to Diagnostic system based on Shanghanlun provisions, the patient was diagnosed with Yanamyung-byung and has been unusual dietary habits. So she took Osuyu-tang decoction for 2 weeks. We evaluated the results of treatment by SCORAD Index and before and after treatment photos. Results : After taking Osuyu-tang decoction for 2weeks, the patient's SCORAD INDEX and symptoms was decreased from 49.5(severe) to 3.5(mile). Also, the patient's chronic diagestive disorder improved. Conclusions : This case report showed an effectiveness of using Osuyu-tang according to Diagnostic system based on Shanghanlun provisions on atopic dermatitis.

  • Objective : This case report presents the effect of Hoiyeok-tang on atopic dermatitis. A patient was diagnosed with Lesser Yin disease based on Shanghanlun provisions. Methods : According to the disease pattern identification diagnostic system based on Shanghanlun provisions (DPIDS), we diagnosed the patient with Lesser Yin disease. The patient was treated with Hoiyeok-tang for 87 days. The changes in symptoms were estimated by the SCORAD index. Results : After treatment, the SCORAD Index improved from 57.3 to 33.5. The patient also body weight from 89.1 kg to 76.5 kg. Conclusions : This case study shows the effectiveness of Hoiyeok-tang on atopic Dermatitis according to DPIDS.

  • Objective : The Dry Eye Syndrome is characterized by reduction of the stability of the tearfilm and a set of alterations of the eye surface which could relate to tear quality, normal makeup of tearfilm and alterations in blinking or regular closing of eyelids. We treated 3 patients who was suffering with severe Dry Eye Syndrome and assessed the effectiveness of Oriental Medicine in the treatment of Dry Eye Syndrome. Methods : The patients were treated by acupunture, Gi Guk Yang Hyeol-decoction(Qijuyangxie-decoction). The improvement of the symptom was judged the subjective symptoms by the change of Ocular Surface Disease Index. Result : We observed in 2 cases of the patient significant decrease in the frequency of subjective symptoms, 1 case was not treated. Conclusion: The Oriental Medicine had effective results in Dry Eye syndrome. We need to have more observation and examination of Dry Eye syndrome.

Effect of Meridian Tendino-musculature Acupuncture on a Patient with Chronic Prostatitis (골반통 및 배뇨곤란을 주소로 하는 전립선염 환자의 경근자법 치험례)

  • Objectives : The objective of this study was to report a effectiveness of meridian tendino-musculature acupuncture on the pelvic pain and dysuria in a patient with chronic prostatitis. Methods : A patient with Pelvic pain and Dysuria was treated with acupuncture and moxibustion. Before and After treatment we measured International Prostate Symptom Score(IPSS), National Institutes of Health-Chronic Prostatitis Symptom Index(NIH-CPSI) and Visual Analogue Scale(VAS). Results : International Prostate Symptom Score(IPSS), National Institutes of Health -Chronic Prostatitis Symptom Index(NIH-CPSI) and Visual Analogue Scale(VAS) scores were decreased considerably after 14 times treatment. Conclusions : It was suggesting that symptoms(pelvic pain and dysuria) of chronic prostatitis could be improved by acupuncture and moxibustion treatment in the view of the meridian tendino- musculature acupuncture.

  • This study is for aspheric lens that is one of a core technology in the optical industry. The feature of a aspheric lens is not to have the spheric aberration. So in optical industry, aspheric lens are essential element to miniaturization, high effectiveness and light weight. In this study we applied a lay back-tracer method using the index of refraction to design aspheric lens. We developed the automatic design program for aspheric lens by user interfacing program VisualLISP in AutoCAD. And we manufactured aspheric lens and measured it.
