A Study on Factors Affecting Multicultural Efficacy of Early Childhood Teachers (유아교사들의 다문화효능감에 영향을 미치는 요인 연구)

  • The purpose of this stud is to find out what factors that multicultural awareness and multicultural attitude of early childhood teachers affect multicultural efficacy are. In order to achieve this research purpose, the survey was carried out by using questionnaires targeting 394 early childhood teachers working in Early Childhood Educational Institutions located in I city. The response results are as follows: First, multicultural awareness, multicultural attitude, multicultural efficacy of early childhood teachers did not show any difference by workplace. Second, it turned out that there is a significant correlation between multicultural awareness, multicultural efficacy of early childhood teachers. Third, it turned out that multicultural awareness and multicultural attitude of early childhood teachers have a positive influence on multicultural efficacy. In view of the results of this study, multicultural efficacy can be improved when awareness and attitude of early childhood teachers on multicultural education are changed so it is thought that various studies that can continuously conduct multicultural education training programs etc. for early childhood teachers should be conducted.

Research Trends on Defects of Apartment Building by Keyword Network Analysis (키워드 네트워크 분석을 이용한 공동주택 하자 연구 동향 분석)

  • Apartment housing has rapidly increased since the housing supply policy implemented in the late 1980s. However, various defects have occurred because the policy focused only on quantity supply, while neglected quality control. In addition, disputes related to various defects are increasing. ; accordingly, studies defects of apartment houses have been continuously conducted to solve various problems. In this study, I analyzed the research trends regarding long-term accumulated defects of apartment buildings by keyword network analysis, and suggest implications. As ananalysis method, I collected journal articles using the portal of the Korea Educational and Scientific Information Agency and constructed data analysis by filtering collected academic papers and keyword refinement. Ialso performed visualization modeling for keyword network relationships, connection degree centrality analysis, and mediation centrality analysis. The results revealed that Mortgage, Dispute, Repair, Case, Response, Condensation, Cost, Institution, Standard, and Valuation are the main keywords that characterize apartment housing defects.

  • Recently as the interesting in geospatial technology increases, various research and education in that regard is proceeding actively. This study developed 'GEospatial Education Platform Service' for development and extension of domestic geospatial technology. GEEPS's objective are efficient utilization and environment composition about geospatial technology in educational institution and research institute. GEEPS has developed to integrate with benefits of open source software and developed Korea Land Spatialization R&D Program. In addition, we surveyed and analysed GEEPS's monitoring to seek for utilization and development planning of GEEPS and we came up with activation and advancement planning.

Critical Thinking Disposition, Professional Self-Concept and Satisfaction of Clinical Practice in Nursing Students (간호대학생의 비판적 사고성향, 간호전문직 자아개념 및 임상실습만족도)

  • This study was conducted to identify the relationships among critical thinking disposition, professional self-concept and satisfaction of clinical practice in nursing students. The participants were 212 nursing students in Gyeonggy Province. Data was collected from June 1 to 12, 2015 using self-report questionnaires and analyzed through descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA and Pearson correlation coefficient with SPSS/win. 21.0. Critical thinking disposition, professional self-concept and satisfaction of clinical practice averaged 3.61(out of 5), 2.94(4), and 3.54(5), respectively. Significant positive correlations between critical thinking disposition and professional self-concept, satisfaction of clinical practice and professional self-concept were found, Therefore it is necessary to strengthen critical thinking and professional self-concept and improve satisfaction of clinical practice through effective educational program.

The effects of professional tooth cleaning and dental health education on dental clearances and dental health behaviors (전문가치면세정술 및 구강보건교육이 구강청결도와 구강보건행태에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effect of professional tooth cleaning and dental health education on dental clearances and dental health behaviors. This study was designed into two groups, 80 persons of control group for dental health education and 80 persons of experimental group for dental health education and professional tooth cleaning. In order to compare education effects, the researcher applied different educational methods. The parameters were the toothbrushing frequency, the average tooth brushing time, the action rate of toothbrushing after lunch, and the rate of using oral hygiene product. The data were analyzed and the following was the conclusion. The frequency of toothbrushing in two groups increased. Toothbrushing frequency of the experimental group was significantly higher than that of preliminary group and control group. The action rate of toothbrushing after lunch in two groups increased. But the experimental group was significantly higher. The score for dental clearances of the experimental group were higher than those of the control group. The data showed statistically significant difference.

Development of a Drug Dosage Calculation Learning Smartphone Application (약물용량계산 학습 스마트폰 어플리케이션 개발)

  • The objective of this study was to develop and evaluate learning smartphone application for improving drug dosage calculation ability of nursing students. We evaluated the contents based on the sufficient teaching materials and developed the process for implementation of the educational system. The participants were 37 nursing students. After implementation during 4 weeks, data was analyzed with the SPSS WIN 18.0. There were significant differences of achievement of learning objectives(${\chi}^2$=10.90, p=.004), application to work(Z=2.86, p=.004), mathematical confidence (Z=3.07, p=.002), according to the frequency of program use, but there was no difference in academic self-efficacy. Based on the results of this study, developed smartphone application will help to strengthen the drug dosage calculation ability of nursing students. And also, the results suggest that more powerful application for improving academic efficacy and increasing participation should be developed.

Safety Knowledge, Safety Control and Safety Performance in Early Childhood Teachers (유아교사의 안전지식, 안전통제가 안전수행에 미치는 영향)

  • This study was conducted as a descriptive study with the aim of identifying the effects of safety knowledge and safety control on early childhood teachers' safety performance. Data collection for the study was carried out between October $10^{th}$ and $30^{th}$, 2014 by surveying 187 early childhood teachers working in child day care center and kindergarten located in P, K, & Y city. Measures were subjects' safety knowledge, safety control, and safety performance. For the analysis of the data, the statistical methods of frequency, mean and standard deviation, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson's correlation coefficients, and multiple regression analysis were employed. When the category of safety performance was analyzed by general features, marital status, educational career, and degree of assistance of safety education, there were significant differences. Safety performance correlated positively with safety knowledge and safety control. Factors affecting early childhood teachers' safety performance were identified in the order of safety knowledge and safety control and the explanatory power was 60.0%. The findings of the study indicate that in order to increase early childhood teachers' safety performance, their safety knowledge and safety control have to be enhanced.

Comparison with Characteristics of the floor plan of Stimson hall, Underwood hall, Appenzeller hall in Yonsei University (연세대학교 스팀슨관, 언더우드관, 아펜젤러관 평면구성의 특성에 관한 비교 연구)

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze and compare the characteristics of floor plan of Underwood hall, Appenzeller hall, and Stimson hall in Yonsei University. These buildings in Yonsei University are the representative higher educational institution buildings that were constructed by Western missionaries during the Japanese colonial period. These buildings were designed by the master plan that had been made before the construction. Therefore, these buildings have many similarities but each building has individual characteristics. This study focused on two parts. One is the characteristics of the shared space, such as like corridor, hall, and stairs. These characteristics show the differences between each building because they used different methods and locations of shared space and rooms for the floor plan to include the different functions. The second is the relationships with the floor plan and other plans like the master plan, elevation plan, and structural plan. These relationships show that each building has unique characteristics that are related to the floor plan.

A Study on the Awareness of Teacher-Parents of Media Education for Children (유아미디어 교육에 대한 교사-학부모의 인식 연구)

  • This study is to examine how media education is recognized and used in the field of early childhood education. For this, it analyzed awareness and problems of media education by kindergarten teachers and parents and set the following research questions to find out a new alternative of media education for children. First, what are differences in concerns and educational experiences on media education for children by teacher-parents? Second, what are differences in teaching-learning methods on media education for children recognized by teachers-parents? Third, the present study examined problems and effective improvement methods of media education for children with 250 teachers in the field of early childhood education and 250 parents and obtained the following conclusions. The teaching-learning method preferred most by teachers and parents was talking activity and as a result of asking the preferred type of group, it was found that teachers-parents answered small group activity was most ideal and what are to be improved in the media education for children included the extension of teachers' opportunities to have research training and non-establishment of the genral theory of media education in our whole society.

The Experience of NEIS's Usage of Elementary School Teachers (초등학교 교사의 국가교육행정정보시스템의 사용 경험)

  • National Education Information System, NEIS is administered for the efficiency of educational service. There have been some researches about the NEIS system and the easiness of the use. However there was no study about the teachers' experience in the use of the NEIS system. It is necessary to study the teachers' subjective experience in the use of NEIS system. For this, researcher had depth interviews with 20 elementary school teachers to collect data and researcher analyzed the data through the method of the Ground Theory. According to the result of this study, the elementary school teachers who have the expectation for the efficiency of NEIS in the process of the acceptance of NEIS, are sorted into the following types. 1) A type of positive acceptance 2) A type of realistic acceptance 3) A type of passive acceptance 4) A type of negative acceptance. This study suggests that educators need to support the elementary school teachers to use of NEIS depend on the four types of the acceptance.
