In this paper, I propose and prove the evaluation standard for educational web contents. I divide the evaluation standards into five types -drill and practice, tutorial, simulation, educational game, presentation. It is proved the propriety of evaluation standards by experts. The evaluation standards presented in this paper can hep teachers to choose and to develop the educational web contents. Therefore it will contribute to decreasing a burden to prepare instruction used ICT for teachers and increasing the effect of Information-Oriented Education.

The purpose of this study is to explore the possibility of qualitative evaluation and applicable models in the evaluation area of educational program. To this end, the concept and characteristics of qualitative evaluation are examined, and grounded theory is selected as a suitable methodology for evaluation, and its characteristics and procedures are described. Because qualitative evaluation focuses on the spontaneous practice elements of the site, it can supplement the quantitative evaluation of the variables set in advance. The researcher presented the theory of qualification as a methodology for qualitative evaluation, aiming to extract the theory explaining the phenomenon among the qualitative methodologies.

The essence of adapting education to the information age consists of two parts. One is the building of infrastructure for information education and the other is putting information and communication technology to educational use. Moreover, from a usage point of view, it is the most important thing that secures much educational software of good quality supporting adapting schools to the information age. It does mean the investigation about the plan of evaluation of educational software is important. Thus, in this study, we provide scientific information for efficient selection and use of educational software as end-users, and provide objective evaluation criteria of quality as a developer. In addition, through this research, we can lay the foundation for adapting education to the information age. For this purpose, we analyzed previous research relevant to the evaluation of educational software, divided the criteria of evaluation into three parts, educational, applicational, and technical, and develop the criteria of evaluation in detail.

This paper has been studied to evaluate the program educational objectives (PEO) for mechanical engineering program at Chosun University. The program educational objectives were set up the educational goals with relationof college educational objectives and ability or quality of engineers after 3 years of graduation, and educated the basic competance of engineers are the equipments of high-level education enviroments, faculty and curriculum for effective engineering educations. This paper were to announce PEO to current students, to establish and to improve PEO throughout accesment and analysis of PEO evaluation. The improvement and documentation of PEO accesement system, collecton and analysis of PEO were conducted industial surveys for engineers graduated this program. The results are served as a substantial basis for setting furture educational goals, renewed PEO by the closed loop and making decision for quality of engineering education in the college of engineering. This study would be comfined measurements, analysis and achievements of PEO for graduated engineers in this program.

Recently in South Korea, various methods are followed in decreasing educational gap between region and social classes through school education. The National Assessment Educational Achievement(NAEA) intends to strengthen responsibility of school education and manage quality of curriculum. Besides, the NAEA intends to bridge achievement gap which is one of educational gaps by grasping the characteristics of academic ability to guarantee basic academic ability. There is not much research about the educational gap among regional scales. Therefore in this study, to examine the achievement characteristics among regional scales closely, we analyse the 2010, 2011 NAEA results in elementary mathematics subject and explore characteristics of items which have sharp differences between local population sizes. The results of the analysis has been showed that the educational gap between 'big-sized cities' and 'small and midium-sized cities' has been increased, but the overall educational gap among regional scales has been decreased.

A systematic educational program evaluation system for continuous quality improvement in undergraduate medical education is essential. Monitoring and evaluation (M&E) are two distinct but complementary processes referred to in an evaluation system that emphasizes formative purpose. Monitoring involves regular data collection for tracking process and results, while evaluation requires periodic judgment for improvement. We have recently completed implementing an educational evaluation using the M&E concept in a medical school. The evaluation system consists of two loops, one at the lesson/course level and the other at the phase/graduation level. We conducted evaluation activities in four stages: planning, monitoring, evaluation, and improvement. In the planning phase, we clarified the purpose of evaluation, formulated a plan to engage stakeholders, determined evaluation criteria and indicators, and developed an evaluation plan. Next, during the monitoring phase, we developed evaluation instruments and methods and then collected data. In the evaluation phase, we analyzed results and evaluated the criteria of the two loops. Finally, we reviewed the evaluation results with stakeholders to make improvements. We have recognized several problems including excessive burden, lack of expertise, insufficient consideration of stakeholders' evaluation questions, and inefficient data collection. We need to share the value of evaluation and build a system gradually.

A teacher evaluation system is a hot issue of educational policy these days. Many teachers have opposed teacher evaluation system, but government and many parents have agreed teacher evaluation system. And some people agree teacher evaluation system, but some people disagree teacher evaluation system. The approvers of teacher evaluation system insist that teacher evaluation system can provide the quality of instruction, satisfaction of schooling, and nation's competition capacity. But opponents of teacher evaluation system insist that teacher evaluation system can provide dissatisfaction of teachers' job, excessive competition among teachers, and the failure of educational policy. So, comprehensive studies about teacher evaluation system are needed. The purpose of this study was to investigate that elementary and secondary teachers' recognition about teacher evaluation system. The tool of this study was used questionnaire which was made by researcher of this study. This study indicates as follows. Many teachers opposed teacher evaluation system, because of deficit of validity and reliability of teacher evaluation system. Also, many teachers indicated instruction ability as the most important evaluation standard of teacher evaluation system. And many teachers predicted the dissatisfaction of teachers' job and excessive competition among teachers as a result of teacher evaluation system.

This study was to analyze the research trend related to mathematics education evaluation in the analysis of the articles on , . The study explores the future direction of mathematics education assessment research by investigating whether such evaluation was suitable for the expectation about the assessment required in the current mathematics curriculum. This study was to classify the evaluation-related researches based on Korea educational curriculum revision from 1991-2010 to examine the research trend on the mathematics education evaluation in each season in Korea, analyze the articles by 'monitoring of student's progress', 'judgement on instruction', 'giving the value on mathematics achievement of students', 'value judgement of the program' that were the purpose of evaluation presented in 1995 NCTM(National Council of Teachers of Mathematics). As a result, looking at the research trend classified by the time of the educational curriculum revision, the 7th educational curriculum had the most number of the papers announced from 1997-2006. Despite 2007 educational curriculum revision was the short period from announced 2007-2008 before the next educational curriculum was placed, 11 papers(34.4%) were published. According to the category by the purpose of the assessment prescribed in NCTM, it showed that researches of 'monitoring of student's progress(46.9%)' were the most, those of 'value judgement of the program' and 'giving the value on mathematics achievement of students had a similar percentage.

Multiple cohorts (e.g., current students and graduates) were formed to collect information on the entire educational process from admission to graduation regarding students' educational performances at Kosin University College of Medicine. Data that had already been collected and analyzed by different committees for different purposes were grouped into a more systematic and comprehensive system called the cohort system, enabling the necessary data to be collected promptly and analyzed in accordance with the purpose of providing meaningful information in each area of the educational process. Therefore, comprehensive cohort data that can be used for mission statement revision, curriculum development and improvement, student counseling, and student selection were established and utilized. The cohort data were collected from performance evaluation indicators including self-evaluation surveys, evaluation tools for learning outcomes, academic achievement, results of the Korean Medical Licensing Examination, and career placement. Based on the results obtained by analyzing cohort data, a comprehensive cohort report has been published. The data analyzed through the cohort were reported to each committee and used in various ways. Currently, however, only some data have been analyzed and used. In the future, after complete data collection, the cohort data can be used as meaningful basic data for achieving the institution's mission and educational goals, developing and improving the curriculum, counseling students, and selecting students through the analysis of learning performance data from student admission to graduation and after graduation.

In spite of various good functionalities and merits of educational software products, they are generally not used widely in school and home. One of these reasons is which many of the educational software products are developed by educational professionals without adequate consideration to the requirement of learners. So, in this paper, in order to see the degree of how much learner's requirement have been met in educational software products, we survey and analyze the evaluation criteria based on the adoption frequencies which have been searched out from domestic and foreign educational software evaluation tools. And, by the learner-centered survey, we compare and analyze the difference of quality estimation criteria for educational software between the viewpoints of students and the selected evaluation criteria treated as important in educational software evaluation tools.
