  • Due to the fourth industrial revolution and the Corona19, the availability of digital devices such as kiosks is a matter directly related to survival for older adults with digital divide. This paper analyzes the problems of existing information service education for older adults and proposes an IT education strategy tailored to aging and life cycle of older adults. The proposed in this study is an educational application-based IT training method that supports repetitive learning regardless of time and place, developing kiosk function as a functional game-type educational application and experimenting with post-training effectiveness. The research method proposed UI usability evaluation frame for older adults, and developed educational applications based on proposed evaluation frame, and conducted kiosk education. As a result of the experiment, the mission success rate after using the IT application was 80.6%, which is a 55.1%P improvement compared to the pre-use(25.5%). This study confirmed that the proposed education for older adults is a way to overcome the limitations of existing IT education in the current situation.

For this purpose, 11 full-time housewives in their thirties and forties from the middle class were interviewed with an unstructured questionnaire. The findings are as follows: Full-time housewives tend to assume the full responsibility for child-caring and education. Their time is structured around the schedules of caring children and participating in educational programs for children. The most demanding tasks for them include preparing for a preschool, getting the children ready for school, rendering supports for children's schools, extra curricular education, and arranging and offering gift money to teachers. • This study is to observe and activate a groping of education based on the perceptual responses from the teachers and the students in fisheries schools. The conclusions of this study are as follows : First, lower level of the perceptual response was estimated in the curriculum and experimental courses, the financial and administrative supports from the Government, the contribution of a fisheries high school to the local society the wages of seamen and the co-works between the industries and the academies. Second, a careful consideration is needed for the fisheries school to have a different shape. As one way for co-works of the industries and the academies, two year program in school and one year internship in a related company should be formed for the curriculum in a fisheries high school. A localized support for sea area, a fisheries high school's role as a re-eaducation for the seamaen and opening a educational graduate school for teachers in the fisheries university are pursued. Third, the perceptual response from the teachers and the students are globally weighted in the acquisition of the license with a graduation of the school and then the credit for the military services, the entering into the same area of the higher education, the expansion of the experimental materials in the courses, developing the curriculum, the Governmental supports and the awareness for the local society, in order. The issues indicated here should be researched continuously for activating the education in the fisheries high schools.

  • With the development of information communication and network technologies, ubiquitous era that supports various services regardless of places and time has been advancing. The development of such technologies has a great influence on educational environments. As a result, e-learning concepts that learners use learning contents in anywhere and anytime have been proposed. The various learning contents authoring systems that consider the e-learning environments have also been developed. However, since most of the existing authoring systems support only PC environments, they are not suitable for various ubiquitous mobile devices. In this paper, we design and implement a contents authoring system based on learning activities for u-learning environments. Our authoring system significantly improves the efficiency for authoring contents and supports various ubiquitous devices as well as PCs.

  • Purpose: The purposes of this review were to identify whether available evidence supports the nursing interventions that are commonly used to reduce fever in children and to introduce research findings into practice. Methods: Journal databases and clinical guidelines from 1990 to 2009 were searched. The search terms were fever, febrile convulsion, fever management, fever phobia, child, antipyretics, temperature, external cooling, tepid sponge bath, and physical treatment. Results: Evidence suggests that uncomplicated fever is relatively harmless, but it is an important immunological defense. Antipyretics should not routinely be used with the sole aim of reducing body temperature in children with fever who are otherwise well. Currently a lack of evidence supports the practice of alternating acetaminophen and ibuprofen, and the routine use of tepid sponge bath. Conclusion: Currently, fever management in children does not reflect research evidence. Pediatric nurses can play an important role by encouraging clinical research in this area and also by enhancing research utilization in their practice. Moreover, pediatric nurses can educate parents about evidence-based fever management. Evidence-based educational interventions for pediatric nurses need to be developed and evaluated to improve the quality of nursing care in the management of childhood fever.

  • In recent times, STEM graduates are confronting a decline in employment rates influenced by economic, social, cultural, and policy-related factors. Career decisions are closely linked to education, college experiences, and university settings. To comprehend the reasons behind the decline in STEM employment, it is essential to explore the relationships among these factors. This study aims to comprehensively examine differences in career motivation and career exploration behavior among 2,393 STEM undergraduates in Korea. Additionally, factors affecting career motivation and career exploration behavior were investigated. The findings indicate significant differences in perceived career motivation and career exploration behavior based on individual backgrounds and university characteristics. And analyzing the data, 37.8% of career motivation is explained by contextual supports, career barriers, individual backgrounds (grade, GPA), university characteristics (major fields, location), field to enter after graduation, and timing of job preparation. For career exploration behavior, 30.1% is explained by contextual supports, career barriers, individual backgrounds (gender, grade, GPA), university characteristics (major field, location), field to enter after graduation, and timing of job preparation. Practical implications underscore the need for tailored educational and policy support, considering individual backgrounds and university characteristics, to effectively address challenges faced by STEM graduates in the evolving employment landscape.

  • Open source software allows revising and adding a new idea on them as well as debugging themselves. The open source software can be utilized as various educational programs as well as development of a commercial software products using them. MIT App Inventor, one of the block-based visual programming environments for education, supports building a local server and even revision of the platform itself by providing its own source codes. In this paper we implement App Inventor open sources on the local server. Especially we present how to revise and implement a new App Inventor platform reflecting their own requirements in schools or educational institutes and how to build a local server operating the revised App Inventor platform. They can provide more interactive educational environments to students and improve educational satisfaction through the active customizing of the platform itself such as adding new programming block components requested by students.

  • Most of the APP market today, it is biased in the field of games and entertainment. In contrast, market-share of the educational APP is very low. This phenomenon is due to two major problems. The first is a decrease in the reuse because of the test of simple pattern. The second is difficult to consider user-level range that was learned previously. In this case it is necessary for students to do additional effort. This paper, propose an educational intelligent educational APP to solve the problems described above and shows implementation results. This system analyzes the stored results that have been saved to determine the area of vulnerability. Time-based Re-validation module helps long-term memory of student. The proposed system in this way directly supports self-directed learning. Therefore, the students can be able to relearn weak area autonomously. It results in improved academic achievement.
