Purpose: The purpose of this study was to look for physical growth and developmental retardation of the disabled children in registered educational institutions. Method: The participants in this study were 103 children. The data was collected from January to September 2006. Body weight, height and head circumference were measured and the Denver II developmental screening tool was used to measure personal-social development. Results: For 40.8% of the children body weight was less than the average for Korean children of the same age, for 49.5% height was lower than average and for 44.7% head circumference was lower. For 84.5% of the children there was a delay in personal-social development, for 87.4% a delay in fine motor-adaptive development, for 80.6% a delay in speech development and for 81.6% a delay in gross motor development. Conclusion: Based on the findings of this study, it is necessary to develop an individual developmental programs for these children based on their growth and development status.

As the Internet spreads into every corner of our lives, the paradigm of education has changed. With this change, many educational institutions, including universities and companies formed a consortia to provide cyber-education. Currently there are 9 such institutions that are approved by the Korean government to grant degrees to the qualified learners. But, the educational environment of them seems to be in bad shape, the quality of education is questionable. So, in this paper we first surveyed the literature to determine the potential factors that affect the effectiveness of cyber-education and then we analyzed the questionnaire prepared to investigate the relationship between those factors and effectiveness. We hope the findings from this study provide some insights into how the effectiveness of cyber-education can be strengthened.

The article is assigned to a prelude to the joke of effective pedagogical technologies in professional education in the minds of її continuity. Analyzed the definitions "innovation", "technology", "pedagogical technology", "Innovation pedagogical technology". Blocks have been added, which are stored in innovation processes in the light. The significant role of innovation in education is stated. Presented warehouses pedagogical technologies: conceptual, conceptual-processual and professional. The purpose of introducing innovative technologies into the educational process of vocational education institutions has been clarified. The reasons for finding and implementing innovative pedagogical technologies in education are analyzed.

These papers surveyed the respondents' Awareness and perception of Plagiarism among the Faculty members and research scholars of higher educational institutions in Dindigul District, Tamil Nadu. The 500 questionnaires were distributed among the participants, 456 questionnaires were filled and returned for usable by the respondents and remaining not replied. The responses rate is 91.2%. Further among 222 Male re- spondents, 11.18% of them are having Aware, 10.75% of them in Learning, 10.53% are with Fair and 76(16.23%) of them are Expert. Similarly out of 234 Female respondents, 16.45% of them has No Idea, 7.02% of them have Aware, 10.09% of them in Learning, 8.99% are with Fair and 8.77% of them are Expert.

A comparative analysis of the state and results of the functioning of the education system of Ukraine with the national educational systems of the USA and Great Britain was carried out. Based on which we found out similar and different in the process of developing the system of training specialists in higher education institutions of the USA, Great Britain, and Ukraine. Describing the main quantitative indicators of education in the UK, USA and Ukraine, we found common features and distinctive features. Consideration in the comparative aspect of trends in the development of higher teacher education in the United States, Great Britain and in Ukraine gives grounds for conclusion. For these countries, such groups of norms as types of educational institutions, forms of Education; introduction of a unified system of credit units in order to create conditions for broad mobility of students; availability of different levels of training; study of the best experience of educational activities of other states and its introduction into the educational process in combination with the cultural traditions of Ukraine coincide. Describing the main quantitative indicators of education in the analyzed countries, we found distinctive features.Teacher development systems in the UK, USA and Ukraine are compared. It was found out that the use of methods of Great Britain and the United States on the organization of independent work in the process of professional development of teachers will have a positive impact on training in the system of advanced training of teachers in Ukraine. The article examines the information culture of future specialists, which is based on knowledge about the information environment, the laws of its functioning and development, and the perfect ability to navigate the limitless modern world of information.

This paper presents a critical analysis of the current application of big data in higher education and how Learning Analytics (LA), and Educational Data Mining (EDM) are helping to shape learning in higher education institutions that have applied the concepts successfully. An extensive literature review of Learning Analytics, Educational Data Mining, Learning Management Systems, Informal Learning and Online Social Networks are presented to understand their usage and trends in higher education pedagogy taking advantage of 21st century educational technologies and platforms. The roles of and benefits of these technologies in teaching and learning are critically examined. Imperatively, this study provides vital information for education stakeholders on the significance of establishing a teaching and learning agenda that takes advantage of today's educational relevant technologies to promote teaching and learning while also acknowledging the difficulties of 21st-century learning. Aside from the roles and benefits of these technologies, the review highlights major challenges and research needs apparent in the use and application of these technologies. It appears that there is lack of research understanding in the challenges and utilization of data effectively for learning analytics, despite the massive educational data generated by high institutions. Also due to the growing importance of LA, there appears to be a serious lack of academic research that explore the application and impact of LA in high institution, especially in the context of informal online social network learning. In addition, high institution managers seem not to understand the emerging trends of LA which could be useful in the running of higher education. Though LA is viewed as a complex and expensive technology that will culturally change the future of high institution, the question that comes to mind is whether the use of LA in relation to informal learning in online social network is really what is expected? A study to analyze and evaluate the elements that influence high usage of OSN is also needed in the African context. It is high time African Universities paid attention to the application and use of these technologies to create a simplified learning approach occasioned by the use of these technologies.

The purpose of this study was to investigate how parents saw the relationship between early years educational institutions and parents, and how these perceptions were influenced by parental background factors. A total of 334 parents who sent their child to a kindergarten participated in this study. The collected data were analyzed by Chisquared test, t-test, and one-way ANOVA. The results of this study were as follows. First, parents had a high level of interest in their child's education, but little actual knowledge about the contents and strategies of education in the kindergarten setting. Second, regarding parental participation in early childhood education institutions, necessity for parents's involvement in the institutions was relatively higher than the average. Third, when considering the relationship between staff in early childhood education institutions, i.e. kindergartens, and parents both teachers and parents hoped to form a relationship in which they could freely exchange their opinions.

In the so-called “information society,”the information service function of public libraries is gaining an increasing importance. In order to meet the growing demand for educational information, the Korean government established the Center for Educational Multimedia Research and Development and opened in 1996 the EDUNET as a comprchensive educational information network. In this context, public libraries as social education institutions are expected to provide educational information services by utilizing the EDUNET information resources. The availability of EDUNET will even increase when the librarians assist users with systematic information search services, and digitalize printed materials in the library. For this purpose, it is necessary for them to accommodate new information technologies and, thereby, to raise the level of information services up to that of their users’needs by enhancing the librarians’expertise in helping users search information effectively. In this end, we suggest a financial decision be made to build an oversea educational information exchange system.
