본 연구의 목적은 도서관 직원을 대상으로 한 설문조사를 근거로 사서교육프로그램 개편방안을 제안하는데 있다. 이를 위하여 사서교육(참여율과 유용성, 교육 및 운영방식, 강의내용과 강사진, 국립사서교육원 설립 위치, 미래 핵심역량 등)의 현주소에 대한 인식도를 분석하고, 다양한 근거자료(교육훈련 법령, 정부정책, 국제교류 및 해외동향, 선행연구 등)를 입각하여 중장기 교육수요를 예측한 후에 이를 충족시키기 위한 가칭 '국립사서교육원' 설립 운영의 핵심 의제인 사서교육프로그램의 미래지향적 개편 모형을 제시하였다.

북미, 중국, 일본 및 한국의 의학사서 교육제도와 주제전문사서에 대한 선행 연구의 내용을 문헌적으로 조사 분석하여 우리나라에서 시행가능한 의학사서를 위한 교육 모델을 고안하였다. 교육모델은 의학사서의 정규양성과정, 의학사서의 계속 교육과 의학사서 자격프로그램을 포함하였다.

Through the close examination of characteristics of adolescent, social institutions and its programs, and newly added and expanded library reference services. it is founded that new role and qualifications of young adult reference librarians are prerequisite subject. The following are the summary of new role and qualifications of specialized young adult reference librarianship. 1. Adequate training and education for the YA librarians is needed in order to have understanding of their characteristics (physiology, psychology, personality etc.). 2. Because of librarian's unique exposure to human relations and their personal awareness of other people's need, YA librarian should bring a person-centered managerial technique. 3. Librarianship may not have a clinical counseling function but to provide right answer or information, the librarian become counselor inescapably. 4. Librarians are not professionally trained to be experts on counseling in sex education. However, librarians can play an important role in educating YA by committing book selection, reader's advisory, referral services, library programming and staff development planning.

Virtual Reality (VR) is one of the core components of the fourth industrial revolution as a technology that makes the virtual world feel as if it is real. VR is being used in various fields such as entertainment, advertisement, education, medical care, training, sports, and tourism, as well as providing contents for such things as games and videos. Libraries are already looking for ways to utilize VR from various angles, such as operating experiential programs. The purpose of this thesis is to develop and propose a VR-based library user education program. In order to achieve the purpose of the study, we analyzed previous studies from a theoretical perspective to find a way to construct a user education program, and also to derive possible implications based on examples of countries such as the United States and Korea that are already introducing and applying VR technology to library services. Therefore, the user education program proposed in this study can be used as a basic building block when many libraries want to develop VR-based programs in the future.

교수·학습 패러다임의 전환에 따라 비정형 학습에 대한 요구가 높아지고 있다. 본 연구에서는 학습자 주도로 일상적으로 이루어지는 전문가학습공동체를 사서를 위한 교육훈련 프로그램에 적용해보고자 관련 문헌과 사례를 분석하였다. 국내외의 사서와 타 분야의 전문가학습공동체 7개의 운영 사례를 선정하여 학습공동체 구성, 운영 형식과 방법, 학습 내용, 지원 체계 등을 분석하였다. 문헌 검토와 사례 분석을 종합하여 (가칭)사서학습공동체의 개념을 정의하고, 사서학습공동체 구성 및 운영을 위한 시사점으로 구성의 자발성과 다층위성, 학습공동체 운영 형식의 다양성, 학습 내용의 현장성을 도출하였다. 사서학습공동체의 원활한 운영과 활성화를 위한 지원 체계로는 운영기관의 프로그램 운영의 지속성, 소속기관의 지지와 협조, 교육 및 연수 프로그램, 플랫폼 구축 및 운영, 활성화를 위한 성과 확산과 환류의 필요성을 제시하였다.

본 연구는 어린이사서의 양성을 위한 문헌정보학과 교과과정과 계속교육 과정의 발전 방안을 제시하고자 하였다. 이를 위하여 어린이사서 양성과 관련된 국내 문헌정보학과 교과과정과 계속교육 과정의 현황을 조사하였다. 또한 대전지역 공공도서관 어린이실 사서 대상의 설문조사를 통해 어린이실의 현황과 사서들의 직무에 대한 현장의 요구를 파악하였다. 조사결과를 토대로 어린이사서를 위한 교육과정과 재교육의 현황과 어린이실 사서들의 한계점을 파악하여 어린이사서 교육과 계속교육의 활성화를 위해 개선해야 할 점을 제시하였다.

Half a century has passed since the academic field of library and information science, which was born at the end of the 19th Century in the Western world, was introduced to Korea. Despite years of quantitative growth and qualitative maturation, the field has been facing the inconvenient truths of discrepancies in education levels arising from varying education providers, and weakened public confidence in librarian certification. Based on analysis of librarian training and education programs and the certification system, this research seeks to point out the limitations of the national librarian certification system, which is losing public confidence, and present a model for improvement. Library and information science education has expanded from universities to the academy of librarian education and lifelong education centers, and the librarian certification system has emerged as a target of reform. This research presents measures to improve the librarian certification system to government bodies and the Committee on Library and Information Policy with the purpose of providing grounds for policy enforcement.

본 연구는 현직 사서들을 대상으로 주제전담사서제를 기획하고 실행할 수 있는 재교육 과정을 제시하는 것이다. 국내 대학도서관의 주제사서제의 필요성 및 교육체계의 변경에 대한 주장은 많이 제기되고 왔지만 큰 변화는 일어나지 않았다. 최근 몇몇 대학도서관에서 주제서비스를 시행하게 되면서 주제사서서비스에 대한 관심이 고조되었고 현직 사서들을 대상으로 하는 재교육의 필요성이 제기되었다. 본 연구는 국내외 현황을 바탕으로 향후 리에종 사서제가 현실에 적합하다는 분석을 통해 주제전담사서 양성 과정의 목표, 교유과정의 개발 전략을 수립하고 구체적인 교육 내용을 제시하였다. 향후 주제전담사서 양성 과정이 보다 성숙해지려면 교육 기관의 다양화, 교육 프로그램의 전문화 및 표준화, 다양한 교육 과정의 개발, 그리고 대학도서관에서의 참고봉사 서비스가 활성화 되어야 한다.

본 연구는 국내 유일의 사서교육훈련기관인 국립중앙도서관 사서연수교육업무의 운영 실태를 조사 분석하여, 전국의 현장수요에 부응할 수 있도록 미래지향적인 사서교육훈련시스템의 합리적인 발전방안을 강구하는 데 목적을 두고 있다. 이를 위해 교육훈련 참여자 2,044명에 대한 설문조사와 관계자 면담, 자체 운영평가 등을 기초로, 사서직 공무원의 교육훈련과정의 문제점 및 개선방안을 검토하였고, 그 해결방안으로는 교육훈련 전담조직의 개편, 교수요원의 양성, 교육훈련예산의 증액, 사이버 교육운영의 활성화, 평가시스템의 조정 등의 발전방안을 제시하였다. 또한 사서교육훈련 교육체제 발전방안의 일환으로 현재 건립 중인 국립세종도서관의 책무로서 사서교육훈련 업무를 분담 운영케 하는 방안을 검토하여 보았다.

본 연구에서는 USC SLIS의 각종 학위과정을 제시하였고, USC SLIS의 교육과정을 우리나라의 지역거점 국립대학교와 비교하여 분석하였으며, 우리나라에서 개선할 부분에 관하여 논의하였다. USC SLIS 학과장, 일반 교수, 대학원 학생, 직원 등과의 면담, USC SLIS의 홈페이지 분석, 문헌연구 등을 활용하여 데이터를 수집하였다. 본 연구에서 제시된 USC SLIS의 학위 과정 및 교과과정의 특성 가운데 많은 부분을 장단기적으로 우리나라 대학에서 시행할 수 있다고 판단된다. 학부 과정, 석사 과정과 박사 과정에 대한 별도의 교육목적 설정 및 그에 맞는 교육과정의 개편, 교과목별 이수 순서의 설정, 청소년 및 아동 관련 과목의 추가 개설 등이 시행될 수 있을 것이다. 사서교사 양성에 필요한 교과목의 개편, 학부 과정의 교육내용의 개편, 복수학위제 등도 도입을 고려할 수 있다.
