예비 교사의 스캐폴딩을 강조한 기후 변화 환경 캠프의 효과 분석 (Effects of Pre-service Teacher's Scaffolding in Environmental Camp about Climate Change)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the process and the effect of pre-service teacher's scaffolding in environmental camp program about global climate change. For this study, developed the environmental camp program based pre-service teacher's scaffolding and applied to 78 $5^{th}$ students. We analyzed the role of pre-service teacher in the process of scaffolding. In the result, the pre-service teachers conducted cognitive scaffolding like as "Focus", "Hint", "Tell or Summarize" and "Technical Help". They carried out the emotional scaffolding like as "Create Cheerful Atmosphere", "Encourage", and "Help in Living". Teaching and learning about global climate change, the theme of the camp, was regarded uncertain and complex. So, pre-service teacher's scaffolding was effective to promote environmental literacy about climate change of primary students (<0.05). The student teachers understanded the characteristics of the children through emotionally close relationships. The primary students were learned easier about global climate change through cognitive and emotional scaffolding. They experienced environmental practice with communal living in camp.

유아의 창의성 증진을 위한 예비유아교사교육 프로그램의 단기종단효과 (The Short-term Longitudinal Effect of Pre-service Teacher Education Program for Children's Creativity)

  • 본 연구는 실험연구로서 유아의 창의성 증진을 위한 예비유아교사교육 프로그램의 단기종단적 효과를 검증해보기 위해 수행되었다. 본 연구에는 실험집단 36명과 통제집단 31명, 총 67명의 예비유아교사와 실험집단의 유아 65명, 통제집단의 유아 61명의 자료가 최종 분석에 포함되었다. 예비유아교사 및 유아의 창의성을 측정하기 위해 TTCT를 사용하였다. 본 프로그램이 예비유아교사의 창의성 변화에 미치는 영향을 알아보기 위해 평균, 표준편차, 잠재성장모형을 적용하였고, 본 프로그램 참여 여부와 교사의 창의성이 유아의 창의성에 미치는 영향을 알아보기 위해 다중회귀분석을 실시하였다. 첫째, 예비유아교사의 창의성 변화를 알아보기 위해 잠재성장모형을 확인한 결과, 프로그램 참여가 예비유아교사의 창의성 변화에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 본 프로그램 참여여부 및 교사의 창의성은 유아의 창의성에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다.

초등 예비교사의 과학 교수에 대한 태도 조사 (A Survey on Pre-service Elementary Teachers' Attitudes towards Science Teaching)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate pre-service elementary teachers' attitudes towards science teaching using 'Dimensions of Attitude Toward the Teaching of Science (DAS)'. After confirming the factors and reliabilities of the translated questionnaire by pilot test (N=68), the survey was administered online at one national university of education in Korea (N=527). The pre-service teachers generally thought elementary science education is important and did not believe gender difference in students and in teachers. Science education majors than other majors, males than females, and those who completed high school science track than humanity track had more positive attitudes toward science teaching in elementary school. The extent of teacher education curriculum completion had a little effect on the pre-service teachers' attitudes toward science teaching. The implications for teacher education were discussed.

예비유아교사의 공감능력과 대인관계 유능성이 교사효능감에 미치는 영향 (The Influence of Pre-service early childhood Teacher's Empathetic Ability and Interpersonal Competence on Teacher's Efficacy)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 예비유아교사의 공감능력과 대인관계 유능성 및 교사 효능감의 수준과 관계를 알아보고 공감능력과 대인관계 유능성이 교사 효능감에 미치는 영향에 대해 알아보는 것이다. 이를 위하여 본 연구는 전라북도 I시와 충청북도 H시에 소재하고 있는 3년제 유아교육과에 재학 중인 예비 유아교사 358명을 대상으로 설문 조사를 하였다. 본 연구에 사용된 연구도구는 대인관계 반응지수도구(IRI), 대인관계 유능성 척도(ICQ), STEBI를 유아교사에게 맞게 수정, 보완한 도구를 사용하였다. 본 연구의 자료 분석은 SPSS프로그램을 이용하여 빈도와 백분율, 평균과 표준편차, Pearson의 적률상관관계와 중다회귀분석을 실시하였다. 연구결과 첫째, 예비유아교사의 공감능력, 대인관계 유능성, 교사효능감은 공감능력의 하위요인인 개인적 고통 이외 모두 3점 이상으로 평균보다 약간 높게 나타났다. 둘째, 예비유아교사의 공감능력, 대인관계 유능성, 교사 효능감은 정적인 상관관계가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 예비유아교사의 공감능력, 대인관계 유능성이 교사 효능감에 미치는 영향을 살펴 본 결과 부분적으로 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다.

언플러그드 컴퓨팅을 이용한 예비교사의 정보교육 사례 연구 (A Case Study on Information Education for Pre-Service Teacher using Unplugged Computing)

  • 이 연구에서 제안한 교육프로그램은 예비교사들을 대상으로 인지심리학의 개념습득 이론 중 원형이론과 본보기 이론의 상호보완을 통하여 정보교육의 필요성과 개념을 습득하도록 하였다. 또한 언플러그드형 수업사례 시연활동을 통하여 컴퓨터과학에 관한 지식이 부족한 학습자들에게 교수-학습 설계능력을 향상시키고, 컴퓨터과학의 개념과 원리를 습득할 수 있도록 하였다. 예비교사들에게 적용해본 결과 효과성이 높은 유의미한 결과를 얻을 수 있었다.

초등과학의 '지구와 우주' 영역에서 초등예비교사의 지식수준과 공간지각 능력과의 관계 (Correlation between Knowledge level and Space Perception Ability of Pre-service Elementary School Teacher on 'Earth and Space' of Elementary Science)

  • The purpose of this study is find out the correlation of level of knowledge of pre-service elementary teacher with space perception ability on 'Earth and Space' of elementary science. During the second semester of 2013, for 15 weeks, the classes were conducted for 3 hours per week and we find out knowledge Understanding degree and select terms offered by 5th grade science courses 'The solar system and the stars', 'Earth and Moon', 'change of seasons' section and measured space perception ability degree of pre-service elementary school teacher with a questionnaire. We analyzed the correlation of understanding level of knowledge in the field of astronomy of pre-service elementary school teacher with space perception ability. The results of the study are presented as follows. First, pre-service elementary school teacher showed a low level of knowledge understanding as it goes the upper grades about upper concept in 'The solar system and the stars', 'Earth and Moon', 'change of seasons' section' of astronomy area of elementary science 'Earth and space sector'. The pre-service elementary school teachers needs to acquire knowledge of astronomy area in elementary school curriculum. Second, pre-service elementary school teacher showed that there are differences individually in 'finding solid body' of sub-element of space perception ability. This shows that 'finding solid body' factor is associated with space perception ability. Third, in the section of 'The earth and the Universe' for elementary education, 'Reflection' and 'Finding solid body' which are low-level components of space perception ability were verified that have a corelationship with general grades in the astronomy conception test.

미래 과학교육에 대한 예비 초등 교사들의 인식 (The Perspectives of Pre-service Elementary Teachers on Science Education of Future)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the perspectives of pre-service elementary teachers on science education of future by using Draw-A-Science-Teacher-Test Checklist and open-ended questionnaire. The subjects of this study were 136 pre-service elementary teachers. The results of the research are as follows. The pre-service teachers thought that the physical environment reflecting the latest science and technology for science education will be developed in the future. However, few respondents indicated that student-centered equipment or a free and creative classroom environment would be provided. Second, they predicted that there would be changes in teacher's activities due to the introduction of advanced facilities and equipment, but most of the other teachers' activities were thought to be similar to those of current teachers. Third, the pre-service elementary teachers thought that a variety of new technologies would be used in science education and science teachers would mainly teach high-technology, IT technology, science knowledge, and newly discovered science concepts. In addition, we found that pre-service elementary teachers' images were more 'teacher-centered' than 'student-centered'. These results show that pre-service elementary teachers are expected to utilize the latest science and technology actively in science education in 2030 and that it will lead to changes in the physical environment, teachers' activities, education contents, and teaching and learning methods. In addition, they viewed acquisition of science concept as an important goal of science education in the future and had different points of view from the current science education curriculum and scholars' emphasis on educational research for the future.

Pre-service Teachers' Education Needs for AI-Based Education Competency

  • This study aims to analyze the perceptions and educational needs of pre-service teachers for the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in education. To this end, we collected survey data from 25 undergraduate students who were enrolled in a teacher education college in Seoul. The purpose of the survey was to measure the importance and current performance for instructional AI use based on the technological, pedagogical, and content knowledge (TPACK) framework, and to explore the priority of educational needs using Borich's needs analysis and the Locus for Focus model. The results of the study confirmed that Ethics and TPK competencies are prioritized. Additionally, the results indicated a high demand for practical knowledge that can be implemented in the practice of education. Based on the results, it is necessary to develop a teacher education program that focuses on ethical aspects and teaching strategy competencies in AI-based education.

  • Because statistical concepts are important parts in school mathematics, mathematics teachers have trained by special education model. In this study, a desirable direction of curriculum on probability and statistics at pre-service for mathematics teacher is considered. We proposed four subjects as Exploration and Analysis of Data for Mathematics Teacher, Probability and Statistics I, II for Mathematics Teacher and Statistical Software for Mathematics, and suggested the constituents and something being kept in mind for each subject.
