A User Experience Study In Blockchain Based Social Platform -Focused on a Steemit- (블록체인 기반 소셜 플랫폼 사용자 경험 연구 -스팀잇을 중심으로-)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the user experience and suggest the necessary improvements, in the blockchain based social platform Steemit. First, I investigated what is the blockchain and the characteristic of social platforms based on blockchain system. The honeycomb model was used to investigate and analyze the Steemit user experience, and the quantitative and qualitative data were analyzed through questionnaires and in-depth interviews. As a result of the research, the voting function, which is core function of the service in use, has high usefulness. Improvements suggestion that the editing tools and the abuse of voting function should be improved. I hope that this study will be used as a basic research material to improve the user experience of blockchain based social platforms.

Development System of Mimicking Image Classification for Newspaper Advertisements Database Construction (신문광고영상 데이터베이스구축을 위한 유사영상 분류 시스템)

  • In this paper, we propose a system of mimicking image classification for building database system. It better manages the format which recording the same advertisements multimedia in advertisements image. Recently, the work of converting database is made directly by the people. This work doses the media scanning, image editing and saving, and saving of advertising information (date, the media, the page and size, so far). Therefore, it is wasted a lot of time and manpower as inefficient business. To solve these problems, first of all we gain an image by digital camera, extract and classify candidate area of advertisements. Accordingly, our system saves database to comparison of the mimicking of all advertising and classify whether area of image is the new or existing advertising.

  • The era of realistic broadcast with high fidelity has come after the wide-spread distribution of UHD display and the transmission of UHD experimental broadcast in CATV. However, UHD broadcast now has constraint because it requires much amount of bandwidth and data in broadcasting transmission and production system. Not only HEVC(High Efficiency Video Codec) which has more than two times higher compression rate but also cloud-based editing system would be the key to solve the problems above. Also, fast scene change detection of videos is needed to index and search UHD videos smoothly. In this paper, therefore, a method is proposed to index and search the scene change information of large volume UHD videos compressed with high-efficiency codec. Application usages of fast detection of scene change information in various UHD video environments are considered by using this algorithm.

An Imputation for Nonresponses in the Survey on the Rural Living Indicators (농촌생활지표조사에서 무응답 대체 : 사례)

  • Survey on the rural living indicators was the statistic approved from National Statistical Office and the survey executed by rural resources development institute. This study was used the raw data of survey on the rural living indicators in 2005. After editing procedure for raw data, we were studied 1,582 households which is acquired through elimination of case included nonresponses, and imputed a nonresponses of 15 item selected from 146 item. The imputation methods and efficiency of imputation for simulation was adapted differently from type of data. For continuous data, we imputed the nonresponses with mean imputation, regression imputation, adjusted grey-based k-NN imputation(DU, DW, WU, WW) and compared the results with RMSE. For categorical data, we imputed the nonresponses with mode method, probability imputation, conditional mode method, conditional probability method, hot-deck imputation, and compared the results with Accuracy. By the results, regression imputation and adjusted grey-based k-NN imputation appropriated for continuous data and hot-deck imputation appropriated for categorical data.

3D Content Model Hashing Based on Object Feature Vector (객체별 특징 벡터 기반 3D 콘텐츠 모델 해싱)

  • This paper presents a robust 3D model hashing based on object feature vector for 3D content authentication. The proposed 3D model hashing selects the feature objects with highest area in a 3D model with various objects and groups the distances of the normalized vertices in the feature objects. Then we permute groups in each objects by using a permutation key and generate the final binary hash through the binary process with the group coefficients and a random key. Therefore, the hash robustness can be improved by the group coefficient from the distance distribution of vertices in each object group and th hash uniqueness can be improved by the binary process with a permutation key and a random key. From experimental results, we verified that the proposed hashing has both the robustness against various mesh and geometric editing and the uniqueness.

  • As software is large and sophisticate, in order to increase the productivity and efficiency of programs in programming development environments, it is necessary to support the integrated system that offers user interface integrated editing, compiling, debugging, and running steps. The key tool in such environments is an incremental translation. In this paper, in order to increase the productivity and reusability of software, the goal is to construct the integrated incremental interpretation system that supports friendly user interface with editor, debugger, and incremental interpreter. We define the new object-oriented language, IMPLO(IMPerative Language with Object) using EBNF notation, and construct the integrated incremental interpretation system using incremental interpreter of the language. To do so, we extend attribute grammars for specifying static semantics and present new action equations to describe the dynamic semantics. We executed the incremental interpretation by using analyzing the dynamic semantics and then implemented integrated incremental interpretation system with editor and debugger in C, Lex and Yacc using X windows on SUN. We obtain about 50% speedups in case of incremental execution time for example programs.

Geometric LiveWire and Geometric LiveLane for 3D Meshes (삼차원 메쉬에 대한 기하학 라이브와이어와 기하학 라이브레인)

  • Similarly to the edges defined in a 2D image, we can define the geometric features representing the boundary of the distinctive parts appearing on 3D meshes. The geometric features have been used as basic primitives in several applications such as mesh simplification, mesh deformation, and mesh editing. In this paper, we propose geometric livewire and geometric livelane for extracting geometric features in a 3D mesh, which are the extentions of livewire and livelane methods in images. In these methods, approximate curvatures are adopted to represent the geometric features in a 3D mesh and the 3D mesh itself is represented as a weighted directed graph in which cost functions are defined for the weights of edges. Using a well-known shortest path finding algorithm in the weighted directed graph, we extracted geometric features in the 3D mesh among points selected by a user. In this paper, we also visualize the results obtained from applying the techniques to extracting geometric features in the general meshes modeled after human faces, cows, shoes, and single teeth.

  • This paper presents the design and the implementation of a MissCW(Multi user Interactive System for Synchronous Collaborative Writing). The document model DMDA(Distributed Multimedia Document Architecture) of MissCW consists of the logical structure, presentation style object, and mark object. The windows. The collaborative editor of this system proposes a structure oriented editing mechanism to combine distrbuted objects into one document. The middleware SOM(Shared Object Manager) maintains shared objects consistently and helps application programs use objects efficiently. The infrastructure of this system is a hybrid structure of replicated and centralized architectures, that is to maintain shared objects consistently inside of SOM and to reduce the overhead of network traffic. The central part is a virtual node which corresponds to the Object Controller of SOMwith the SOT(Shared Objet Table).

  • The individual differences in disease development and susceptibility have been researched primarily on the subject of genes, environment or the interaction between genes and the environment respectively. However, there have been limitations in explaining complex diseases, and the differences in health and diseases in monozygotic and dizygotic twins. Fortunately, thanks to active research on the relationship between genes and the environment, and epigenetics, there has been much progress in the understanding of body's reactions and changes. Epigenetics is referred to as a study of gene expression through the interactions of DNA methylation, chromatin's histone and the change of structure in tail, RNA editing without any change in DNA sequence. In this paper, we introduce the basic concepts and mechanisms of epigenetics. The result of the epigenetics is heritable ; can regulate gene expressions ; is reversible ; and has many variable forms depending on cell types. The influences of epigenetics occur throughout life, but it is mainly determined in utero during early pregnancies. Diseases occur or the risk rises if these influences continue after birth until adult life when problems occur in excess/lack of nutrition, environmental plasticity, or already inputted data. Therefore, there is a need for change and innovation, especially in interest and investment in health education for young women near pregnancies and correct treatment of epigenetic-related diseases.

Concurrent Watermarking Scheme for Robust and Fragile Authentication of 3D Animation Content (3D 애니메이션 콘텐츠의 강인성 및 연약성 인증을 위한 동시성 워터마킹 기법)

  • This paper presents a concurrent watermarking scheme with both robustness and fragileness for copyright protection and authentication of 3D animation contents. In a 3D animation model, the proposed scheme embeds not only robustly the watermark into geometry node for copyright protection but also fragilely the watermark into position and orientation interpolators for content authentication. This paper names the former as the robust geometry watermarking and the latter as the fragile interpolator watermarking. The proposed scheme performs independently these watermarkings for satisfying at one time the robustness and the fragileness of 3D animation model. From experimental results, we verified that the watermark embedded by the geometry watermarking has the robustness against many attacks from 3D public editing tools and also the watermark embedded by the interpolator watermarking has the fragileness against the same attacks.
