The Classification of Foot Types of Junior High School Boys for the Development of Shoes' Easy-Order Prototype (신발류 이지오더 Prototype 개발을 위한 청소년의 발의 형태 분류)

  • The health of feet is connected with individual's health and affects a man's activity. Shoes need to be designed to protect feet and to absorb the impact of land. In order to choose suitable shoes for feet, the foot size and shape must be considered, so it is essential to grasp the exact size and shape of the foot. This study aims to present fundamental data on shoes' easy order prototype development for choosing shoes of good wearing comfort, by classifying feet size and shape junior high school boys in the early adolescent period. The subject were 234 Korean junior high school boys age from 14 to 16 years old. The subjects were directly measured anthropometrically and indirectly analyzed photographically. 6 factors were extracted through factor analysis and those factors comprised 79.42% of total variance. The factors characterizing foot girth and width, foot length, foot height, foot shape around the fifth toes, angle of foot breadth and foot shape around the first toes. 3 clusters as their foot shape were categorized using 6 factor scores by cluster analysis. Type 1 was characterized by long large foot with deformed first toe. Type 2 had smaller in foot girth, width and length than other types and with deformed fifth toe. Type 3 had average size and high foot shape. Shoes prototype which is to be developed later on will be able to generate 2D flattening in the foot sole form. Therefore, it would be a great support in producing and choosing appropriate shoes if forms are classified by subdividing foot form classification and extract a factor which shows only the foot sole shape.

  • Induction motor is nonlinear multivariable system. It is not easy to control precisely. Usually Induction motor need linearized model in order to make it easy to control. In this paper, linearized model of nonlinear model in induction motor can change by using TS Fuzzy Identification.

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze whether perceived utilitarian value and service qualify have an effect on repurchase intention of fashion merchandise in internet shopping. A survey was conducted from June 20 to July 30 in 2003, among married women aged in their 20s and 30s, on their purchase experience of fashion merchandise from internet shopping malls. The survey was conducted over the internet with 306 subjects. The statistical analysis methods were frequency analysis, reliability analysis, factor analysis, and multiple regression analysis. The results of this study were as follows. 1. A married women aged in their 20s and 30s were shown to high-purchasing on nightgown, underwear, women's pants, casual wear through internet shopping. Their perceived utilitarian value had an effect on repurchase intention of fashion merchandise in internet shopping. 2. The service quality factors were determined to be site reliability, site reactivity, order assurance, order easy, site organization. Service quality factors of site reactivity, order assurance, order easy, site organization had an effect on repurchase intention of fashion merchandise in internet shopping.

  • In this paper, we present an inverse kinematics of a 7-dof Anthropomorphic robot arm using conformal geometric algebra. The inverse kinematics of a 7-dof Anthropomorphic robot arm using CGA can be computed in an easy way. The geometrically intuitive operations of CGA make it easy to compute the joint angles of a 7-dof Anthropomorphic robot arm which need to be set in order for the robot to reach its goal or the positions of a redundant robot arm's end-effector. In order to choose the best solution of the elbow position at an inverse kinematics, optimization techniques have been proposed to minimize an objective function while satisfying the euler-lagrange equation.

  • To reduce an authors burden in hypermedia system that allows non-sequential information the process of creating links must be easy. However, most of the conventional hypermedia systems possess two difficulties. First, the author must go through several troublesome process to create a single link. Secondly, it is not easy to create an anchor in text or other multimedia data. Therefore, in order to support effective construction of hypermedia system the editing environment must provide an easy method to create links. In this paper, to resolve the weaknesses of conventional hypermedia system as mentioned above, an editing tool is developed and implemented to easily create the links of multimedia data. There are three methods in creating links and a user can select a convenient method in given circumstances. And for teh efficient production of nodes composed of multimedia information, we provide an authoring environment to integrate and process those informations.

  • The use of Pre-processor for building structural analysis used to rely upon filling up fixed format data, which was ineffective and error-prone. This research attempts to integrate structural analysis system with DBMS and CAD system in order to make it easy to exchange data between pre-process, analysis, and post-process stages. Automatic generation of database from pre-process stage allows easy preparation of main input data for other structural analysis programs. CAD system with some sub-programs written in LISP and C works as a graphic user interface. This approach gives an easy, effective and error-free way of inputing data for structural analysis.

  • This paper proposes a single-joint optical torque sensor with one body structure. Conventional optical torque sensors consist of three parts, two plates and an elastic structure. They have slightly slipping problem between plates and elastic structure due to the manufacturing tolerance. Since the order of measurement range of optical sensor is about ten micrometers, the slipping problem causes large measurement error, especially in the case of vibrational or high speed plant. This problem does not occur in the proposed design due to the one body structure. The proposed sensor has advantage of low cost, light weight, and small size. And it is easy to design and manufacture. Simulation works that analysis of stress and strain are performed accurately. To demonstrate the performance of proposed sensor, experiments were implemented to compare with a commercial force/torque sensor (ATI Mini45).

Angular Modulation of the Giant Magnetoresistance at the Second Antiferromagnetic Maximum in Co/Cu Multilayered System

  • In order to study the effect of the magnetic anisotropy on the giant magnetoresistance in a Co/Cu multilayered system, the angle dependent magnetoresistance (MR) was measured. The experimental results showed that the maximum MR ratio depends on the angle between the direction of the applied field and the easy axis. The angular modulation of the MR ratio can be explained by the alignments of the two 'effective' magnetization vectors that are bound to their own easy axes. Two maxima observed in MR loops at the second antiferromagnetic maximum are discussed in relation to the magnetic anisotropy, The simulated results under the assumption of the existence of two in-plane easy axes in the sample are compared with the experiments.

Web-based Daily Report for Data Repository of Standard Cost Data for Modernized Korean Housing (Hanok)

  • Growing demand for traditional Korean housing, modernized Korean traditional housing (Hanok) was developed as a way of providing Hanok for the public. However, the standard cost data for Hanok has limitations, as it was developed based on single mock-up project actually constructed and verified by another mock-up Hanok. In order to meet these research objectives, daily report composition which is easy-to-use for on-site workers and managers and also easy-to-accumulate standard cost data was developed first. Secondly, access to the system was made easy through a web server. Finally, an automated calculation formula was inserted to allow the last inputted data to be automatically included for adjustment of standard costs. This system was designed from an industry perspective so that any unspecified and nonprofessional users can easily use. For the users, it has an advantage that on-site workers are provided with a daily report system through web server and also they are able to complete such reports through simple input and output without any additional forms.
