발달장애인을 위한 읽기쉬운자료 제작 교재 개발 연구 (Developing Textbook of Producing Easy-to-read Materials for Individuals with Developmental Disabilities)

  • 본 연구는 발달장애인을 위한 읽기쉬운자료 개발 교육 시 활용할 수 있는 교재를 개발하는 것을 목적으로 하였다. 교재는 국내외 읽기 쉬운 자료 제작 지침서 분석, 차시 확인 및 교재 내용 개발, 타당도 검증의 단계를 거쳐 개발하였다. 최종 개발된 자료는 독자 구분, 어휘, 상징, 레이아웃, 제작 실습을 포함하여 총 7차시의 교재로 개발하였다. 본 연구에서 개발된 교재의 중요한 특성은 첫째, 국내 최초로 읽기 쉬운 자료를 읽는 독자를 분류하여 보통 읽기(Plain Language) 독자, 읽기 쉬운(Easy to Read) 독자로 소개하였다. 둘째, 읽기 쉬운 자료를 개발하면서 참고할 수 있는 지침을 체크리스트로 개발하여 스스로 점검할 수 있도록 구성하였다. 셋째, 주제별 활동지와 워크북을 개발하여 활동 중심 교재로 활용할 수 있도록 구성하였다.

적외선 센서/ROIC 접합을 위한 자동 평행 배열 방식의 플립 칩 본더 (Flip Chip Bonder for Automactic Parallel Aligning of IR Sensors and Read Out Integrated Circuits)

  • 1차원 또는 2차원 배열을 갖는 적외선 센서는 흔히 Si CMOS 신호 처리 회로에 인듐 범프를 이용하여 접합된다. 이러한 방식을 취함으로 해서 적외선의 감지와 신호 처리가 초점면에서 이루어지게 되어 신호의 잡음을 크게 줄일 수 있고 적외선 검출기 자체도 훨씬 작게 만들 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 적외선 센서와 신호 처리 회로를 서로 자동으로 평행이 되도록 하면서 인듐범프 접합을 하는 방법을 연구하였다. 이에 의해서 개발된 플립 칩 본더는 구조가 간단하면서도 칩 간의 평행을 유지할 수 있고 작동 방법 또한 간단하여 접합의 신뢰성을 향상시킬 것으로 기대된다.

Readability Comparison of Pro- and Anti-Cancer Screening Online Messages in Japan

  • Background: Cancer screening rates are lower in Japan than those in western countries. Health professionals publish procancer screening messages on the internet to encourage audiences to undergo cancer screening. However, the information provided is often difficult to read for lay persons. Further, anti-cancer screening activists warn against cancer screening with messages on the Internet. We aimed to assess and compare the readability of pro- and anti-cancer screening online messages in Japan using a measure of readability. Methods: We conducted web searches at the beginning of September 2016 using two major Japanese search engines (Google.jp and Yahoo!.jp). The included websites were classified as "anti", "pro", or "neutral" depending on the claims, and "health professional" or "non-health professional" depending on the writers. Readability was determined using a validated measure of Japanese readability. Statistical analysis was conducted using two-way ANOVA. Results: In the total 159 websites analyzed, anti-cancer screening online messages were generally easier to read than pro-cancer screening online messages, Messages written by health professionals were more difficult to read than those written by non-health professionals. Claim ${\times}$ writer interaction was not significant. Conclusion: When health professionals prepare pro-cancer screening materials for publication online, we recommend they check for readability using readability assessment tools and improve text for easy comprehension when necessary.

과학용어에 대한 '포털 사전', '표준국어대사전', '과학교과서' 설명의 비교 분석 (Comparison of the Explanation Texts for Science Terminology in Portal Dictionary, Pyojun Korean Dictionary and Science Textbooks)

  • 학생들의 과학 학습 및 일반 대중의 과학적 소양 함양 측면에서 과학용어에 대한 이해도는 매우 중요하다. 본 연구에서는 학교 교육을 통한 과학용어 교육 이외에 학생들이나 일반 대중이 직접 과학용어의 의미를 찾아보고 학습할 수 있는 보조 자료가 필요하다는 전제에서 출발하여, 학생이나 일반인들이 스스로 과학용어를 학습하기 위한 보조 자료들인 포털사전, 표준국어대사전, 과학교과서에서 과학용어를 설명하는 글의 텍스트적 특성이 학생들이 읽고 이해하기에 얼마나 용이한지, 그리고 실제 학생들은 어떻게 인식하고 있는지를 살펴보았다. 그 결과 포털사전이나 표준국어대사전에 비해 과학교과서가 상대적으로 학생들이 읽고 이해하기에 쉬운 자료로 나타나기는 했으나, 세 자료 모두 학생들의 수준에 비해 이독성이 낮은 편에 속하며 이독성을 높이기 위해 개선해야 할 사항이 있는 것으로 나타났다.

  • This paper presents a newly proposed object-oriented finite element framework and its applications on dynamic analysis of plate girder bridge. The developed framework supports various types of finite elements, materials, constraints, loads, and solution methods. One major feature different from other object-oriented finite element programs is that static model and dynamic state can be easily read from or written to a file. In addition, the framework supports efficient DOF pattern handling for a node connecting elements with different DOF patterns, new multi-point constraint handling, and various scripting languages for easy use of the library. In order to show the applicability to dynamic analysis, dynamic moving load analysis on plate girder bridge is performed.

유학생 대상의 비대면 교양 영어 수업 방안: 영화 대본 소리 내어 읽기를 중심으로 (A Study on Non-Face-to-Face General English Courses for International Students: Reading Movie Scripts Aloud)

  • 본 연구는 코로나 사태로 인한 비대면 교양 영어 수업에서 영화 대본 소리 내어 읽기가 유학생들의 영어 능력에 미치는 영향을 알아보는 것을 목적으로 한다. 서울 소재 대학에 다니는 유학생 47명을 대상으로 일주일에 한 번, 15주간, 애니메이션 라푼젤(Tangled)을 이용하여 교양 영어 수업을 진행하였다. 교사의 동영상 수업과 영화 대본 소리 내어 읽기 활동을 격주로 진행하였다. 교사는 쉬운 한국어로 영화 대사의 어휘 설명 및 해석으로 동영상을 제작하여 학습 관리 시스템(LMS)에 게시하였다. 학생들은 소리 내어 읽기 활동은 줌을 통해 교사의 도움을 받으며 개인별 및 조별 소리 내어 읽기를 하였다. 사후 평가에서 사전 평가 대비 읽기와 쓰기 영역 모두에서 유의미한 향상을 보여주었다. 설문에서는 이해도, 만족도, 흥미도, 추천도의 정의적 측면에서 긍정적인 결과가 나타났다.

영양표시읽기 교육을 통한 초등학생의 식생활 태도 개선 (Improvement of Dietary Attitudes of Elementary Students by Nutrition Labeling Education)

  • The purpose of this study was to improve the dietary attitudes of elementary students through nutrition labeling education. A class of fifth-grade elementary students was selected and educated for basic nutrition and reading of nutrition labeling for 8 weeks by using education materials from the KFDA. After the education, the children were subjected for the practice of reading nutrition labeling during winter vacation, and the changes in their dietary attitudes and practice were measured by using questionnaires for children and their parents along with measuring physical changes. The results were as follows: The level of nutritional knowledge was improved significantly after the education (p < 0.05). Nutrition labeling education Increased the children's frequency of reading nutrition labeling from 34.2% to 57.9% while purchasing processed foods (p < 0.05), and 92.1% of the children answered that their dietary attitudes improved by nutrition labeling education. However, no improvement in physical measurements was observed after education. This result suggested that 8-week of education were not enough to show the improvement in physical measurements, and long-term and repeated education is necessary. After the education, most children answered that they recognized the benefit of reading nutrition labeling and they would read the nutrition labeling when purchasing processed foods. Parents also recognized the necessity of nutrition labeling education in school and suggested the need of nutrition labeling be easy to read. The above results suggested that nutrition labeling education is an effective way for improving dietary attitudes of children.

어린이의 지방 섭취 저감화를 위한 교육 콘텐츠 및 교재 개발 (Development of Contents and Textbooks for the Education to Reduce Elementary Students' Fat Intake)

  • This study was conducted to reduce children's fat intake and to establish healthy dietary lifestyles. To achieve these goals, we searched, collected, and analyzed the materials related to the fat education, based on which the research personnel-professors and graduate students in nutrition and child education and elementary school teachers-discussed to figure out major topics, objectives, and detailed contents and activities appropriate for fat intake reduction. We also organized an advisory committee composed of 15 professionals in related fields to discuss the adequacy and validity of the specific contents. Finally, we systematically organized the contents and developed children's textbooks and teacher's guidebooks. Considering the different cognitive development stages of junior and senior elementary students we developed two different textbooks for each of them which are easy to read and understand, fun to play with lots of activities, and designed to practice into daily life. The contents cover three major topics-the concept of lipid, lipid in food, lipid in life and are composed of 6 units in total. To help teachers understand and and to instruct, teacher's guidebooks contain an overview of the education, specific information and practical guidelines for each class. We developed these education materials with the aim of lowering children's fat consumption and eventually promoting their health welfare; hopefully we expect these materials would be useful for children's nutritional education in the field.

Mothers' perceptions of children's food behaviors: use of focus group interview study

  • Children's food behaviors have been expressed in a various ways because of recent changes in their family environment. Thus, this study was performed to investigate in-depth qualitative research on the mother's perception on children's food behaviors by focused group interview. This study was designed in four steps of planning, collection of participants, process, and analysis. Participants for the focus group interview were recruited and sampled from households with elementary school students in the Seoul and Gyeonggido areas. Groups were divided by total income and education expense levels. 1) High income household: It is better to improve currently existing web sites for nutrition education. 2) Mid income household: Easy, practical, and inexpensive off-line cooking class/nutrition education classes for mothers are needed. Nutrition programs for children should be developed through mass media and be promoted in the broadcasting circle. 3) Low income household: Motivation is required for mothers' educatior and the serious nutritional problems of children should be informed through mass media and home correspondence from school. And interesting educational materials should be developed for children to read whenever they want.
