The study subjects were 145 early childhood education students in third grade at K-college in Deagu. They answered the survey regarding playfulness scale and play teaching efficacy scale. The collected data were analyzed by frequency analysis, descriptive statistics, pearson correlation and multiple regression analysis using SPSS 18.0 program. The study finding are as follows. First, the average of playfulness and play teaching efficacy were near at the intermediate-level. Second, playfulness and play teaching efficacy were significantly correlated. Third, when examining the relative effect of pre-service early childhood teacher's playfulness on play teaching efficacy, cheerfulness and improvisation is influential factor in play teaching efficacy.
The purpose of this study was to develop a "Korean Childcare Teacher's Job Satisfaction Scale"(KCTJSS) and to evaluate its reliability and validity. KCTJSS was 72 items and 6 point Likert scale. Participants consisted of 211 childcare teachers by purposive sampling. Results were as follows: First, Exploratory factor analysis resulted in 40 items composed of 6 factors : The principal's childcare center operation system, working environments and welfare, social recognition, amount of work and time management, relationships with co-workers, relationships with parents. Second, the confirmatory factor analysis supported a 6 factor structure. Third, Criterion-related validity was confirmed by significant correlations of the present scale with Early Childhood Job Satisfaction Survey(Jorde-Bloom, 1989). Fourth, the reliability of factors using Cronbach's ${\alpha}$ appeared high, ranging from .83 to .93.
Purpose: This study aimed to identify the problems and improvement areas by reviewing the laws related to kindergarden healthcare workers. Methods: The laws were searched at the Korean law information center (https://www.law.go.kr/). We reviewed the 「Early Childhood Education Act」, 「School Health Act」, 「Medical Service Act」, 「Elementary and Secondary Education Act」and their enforcement decrees and rules. Results: The legal role of health teachers as school healthcare professionals was comprehensively specified by the 「School Health Act. However, the qualifications for and roles of health teachers were not fully described in 「Early Childhood Education Act], indicating a unclear legal basis for the qualifications for and roles of kindergarten health teachers. To support healthcare workers in kindergartens, it is necessary to amend the 「Early Childhood Education Act」 that provides the guidelines for qualifications for kindergarten health teachers in elementary, secondary, and special schools who have completed necessary continuing education. A health hub kindergarten could be a step-by-step option for all kindergartens to have healthcare workers. Conclusion: This review demonstrated the importance of amending the laws on kindergarten health teachers and health hub kindergartens for child health and safety. These findings could be used to support policies related to kindergarten healthcare workers.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to develop a parents education program for early childhood health care and to measure its effects. Methods: This study was a quasi experimental study following a pretest-posttest design model. The subjects were 264 parents who had children aged 0-5 years in 7 rural districts or in the city. The content of this program was child development and management, and the management for health and disease for and emergency care. Parent education was performed by 7 nursing professors in each area, including 2 education sessions. Data were twice collected using a questionnaire, i.e. before the first session and after the second session. Data were analyzed by using the SAS software version 9.1. Result: The hypothesis of this study was that "the parents' score will improve after education". Our hypothesis was supported (t=7.30, p=<.0001). We found corelation in occupation and past experience of similar education. The contentment of education was higher than 90%. Conclusion: The systematic parents education program was very useful and effective, in raising the level of contentment of subjects. There is the needed for the social opportunity of parents' education program to be extended and emphasised by public support.

This study examined whether there are differences in health knowledge, health behavior, and health education teaching efficacy according to the general characteristics of pre-service early childhood teachers and analyzed the relationship between each variable to identify the factors affecting the teaching efficacy. For these, health knowledge, health behavior, and health education teaching efficacy were measured for 258 students enrolled in the department of early childhood education in colleges located in Chungnam and Jeonbuk. The collected data were subjected to a t-test, Welch variance analysis, correlation analysis, and multiple regression analysis using SPSS Win 21.0 according to the research problem. The results were as follows. First, there were significant differences in health knowledge, health behavior, and health education teaching efficacy, according to some of the general characteristics of the subjects. Second, while there was a significant positive correlation between the overall and subordinate variables of health behavior and teaching efficacy, there was a marginally significant correlation between health knowledge and teaching efficacy. The variable affecting health education teaching efficacy was the overall health behavior, and the explanatory power was approximately 30%. Suggestions for subsequent research were proposed based on the above research results.
Objective: This study aimed to show and analyze the flow, content, and meaning of (prospective) early childhood educators reflective thoughts entailed in the process of planning, implementing and evaluating storybook reading by analyzing reflective journals written by technical college students enrolled in an advanced major curriculum after they completed a storybook reading assignment. Methods: The subjects of this study were 39 technical college students enrolled in an advanced major curriculum that participated in a 15-week-long 'storybook seminar' course. This study analyzed journals on storybook reading written by the students as an assignment for the storybook seminar course. Results: As a result, four categories of selecting a storybook, planning the reading of the selected storybook, actual reading of the storybook and subsequent activities were extracted according to the implementation process of storybook reading. Through this series of experiences, (prospective) early childhood educators had a childt-centered view of reading picture books, changed the method of reading picture books, re-recognized the importance of early childhood literature education, and developed a will to develop professionalism through reflective thinking. Conclusion/Implications: This study finds its meaning in showing the reflective thinking that occur within early childhood educators that plan, implement and evaluate storybook reading.
Concept mapping was used to investigate kindergarten teachers' knowledge about early childhood literature instructional content. Participants were 87 teachers recruited by the Provincial Authority for Supervision of Education in Jeonam Province. Data were analyzed by Yun's (1998) method based on Novack & Gowin (1984), Morine-Dershimer (1993), and Markham et al. (1994). Findings were that (1) the majority of the participants perceived superordinate concepts of early childhood instructional content in literature to be typesof literature, reading, writing, speaking, expression, and listening. Subordinate concepts were stated by 456 different words. (2) Types of literature and writing were highest in frequency of superordinate concepts and were also high among subordinate concepts and hierarchy. (3) Teachers' concepts varied by teaching careers in writing and reading.
The prevalence of BRCA1 gene mutations in breast cancer differs between diverse ethnic groups. Relatively little information is known about patterns of BRCA1 mutations in early-onset breast cancer in women of Uighur or Han descent, the major ethnic populations of the Xinjiang region in China. The aim of this study was to identify BRCA1 mutations in Uighur and Han patients with early-onset (age <35 years), and sporadic breast cancer for genetic predisposition to breast cancer. For detection of BRCA1 mutations, we used a polymerase chain reaction single-stranded conformation polymorphism approach, followed by direct DNA sequencing in 22 Uighur and 13 Han women with early-onset sporadic breast cancer, and 32 women with benign breast diseases. The prevalence of BRCA1 mutations in this population was 22.9% (8/35) among early-onset sporadic breast cancer cases. Of these, 31.8% (7/22) of Uighur patients and 7.69% (1/13) of Han patients were found to have BRCA1 mutations. In 7 Uighur patients with BRCA1 mutations, there were 11 unique sequence alterations in the BRCA1 gene, including 4 clearly disease-associated mutations on exon 11 and 3 variants of uncertain clinical significance on exon 11, meanwhile 4 neutral variants on intron 20 or 2. None of the 11 BRCA1 mutations identified have been previously reported in the Breast Cancer Information Core database. These findings reflect the prevalence of BRCA1 mutations in Uighur women with early-onset and sporadic breast cancer, which will allow for provision of appropriate genetic counseling and treatment for Uighur patients in the Xinjiang region.
This study was aimed at knowing the recognition of teachers' nutrition knowledge and nutrition education at day-care centers in Seong-nam. Teachers were all female, most of whom were in the 20, and their careers were less than 3 years. And $76.2\%$ of the teachers graduated from high school and junior college. The score of the nutrition knowledge was average $14.3\pm2.2$ (out of 20). It shows that they are lack of general information of nutrition. As the teachers had higher education, they scored higher nutrition knowledge levels (p < 0.01). It also says that there was meaningful interrelationship between the nutrition knowledge and the number of children they had (p < 0.05). $93\%$ of the teachers said that nutrition education should be given when children are three years old, at least and most of the teachers thought that nutrition education is necessary and should be taught in a separate course. $50.4\%$ of the teachers thought that nutrition education for early childhood should be taught by a nutritionist, but $35.2\%$ of them thought that the teachers themselves should be in charge of it. About $60\%$ of the teachers thought that 'Cooking Activity for Early Childhood' course should be established and it is desirable that the nutrition education should be in the area of cooking activity for childhood at day-care centers. The teachers thought that dietary habit is the most important subject in nutrition education and they got more information from the internet rather than in the class related to nutrition. The purpose of this study was to apply a variety of criteria to analyzing mobile applications for early childhood education, which are now available in application market, and was also to explore how the developmental characteristics and multimedia content characteristics of early childhood could be applied to mobile applications for early childhood education. To meet these purposes, this study targeted total 61 applications for infancy education in terms of mobile applications loaded on online education categories such as iPhone App Store and Android Market. Based on analytic criteria on the foundation of content type by learning type, cognitive load theory and multimedia design principle, this study analyzed those applications for early childhood. As a result, it was found that there were needs to develop a little more various categories of applications, and there were also needs to develop such applications that they can make the best use of smart phone's performance, comply with multimedia design principles but avoid any imprudent use of multimedia.
