하나의 관리도로 공정 평균과 분산의 변화를 탐지하는 절차 (Procedures for Monitoring the Process Mean and Variance with One Control Chart)

  • 평균과 분산이 동시에 변화할 수 있는 공정을 관리할 경우, 평균의 변화를 탐지하는 관리도와 분산의 변화를 탐지하는 관리도를 병행하여 사용하는 것이 일반적이다. 여러 연구자들이 하나의 관리도를 사용하여 공정 평균과 분산의 변화를 동시에 탐지할 수 있는 절차를 제안했는데, 이 논문에서는 이와 같은 관리도들을 소개하고 그 효율을 비교하였다. 그 결과 GLR 관리도 Omnibus EWMA 관리도 그리고 Interval 관리도는 충분히 좋은 효율을 가짐을 알 수 있었다.

  • Traditional SPC techniques are looking out variation of process by fixed sampling interval and fixed sample size about every hour, the process of in-control or out-of-control couldn't be detected actually when the sample points are plotted near control limits, and it takes no notice of expense concerned with such sample points. In this paper, to overcome that, consider VSI(variable sampling interval) EWMA control charts which VSI method is applied. The VSI control charts use a short sampling internal if previous sample points are plotted near control limits, then the process has high probability of out-of-control. But it uses a long sampling interval if they are plotted near centerline of the control chart, since process has high possibility of in-control. And then a comparison and analysis between FSI(fixed sampling interval) and VSI EWMA in the statistical aspect and economic aspect is studied. Finally, we show that VSI EWMA control chart is more efficient than FSI EWMA control chart in the both aspects.

  • 본 논문에서는 연속적으로 관측되는 개별 관측치에 대하여, 모평균의 변화를 모니터링하는 데 적용 가능한 관리도에 대하여 고찰해 보고자 한다. 가장 대표적인 관리도로 슈하르트의 X 관리도, 지수가중이동평균 관리도와 이들의 결합관리도에 관하여 살펴보고 모의실험을 통하여 각 관리도의 성능을 비교 평가해 보고자 한다. 또한, 실제 자료분석을 통해 실질적인 문제에서 관리도를 어떻게 사용해야 하는지 알아보고, 각 관리도의 문제점에 대하여 살펴보기로 한다.

공정평균 이동을 탐지하기 위한 적응 합성 관리도 (An Adaptive Synthetic Control Chart for Detecting Shifts in the Process Mean)

  • The synthetic control chart (SCC) proposed by Wu and Spedding (2000) is to detect shifts in the process mean. The performance was re-evaluated by Davis and Woodall (2002), and the steady-state average run length (ARL) performance was shown to be inferior to cumulative sum (CUSUM) or exponentially weighted moving average (EWMA) chart This paper proposes a simple adaptive scheme to improve the performance of the synthetic control chart. That is, once a non-conforming (NC) sample occurs, we investigate the next L-consecutive samples with larger sample sizes and shorter sampling intervals. We employ a Markov chain model to derive the ARL and the average time to s19na1 (ATS). We also propose a statistical design procedure for determining decision variables. Comprehensive comparative study shows that the proposed control chart is uniformly superior to the original SCC or double sampling (DS) Χ chart and comparable to the EWMA chart in ATS performance.

Demerit-DEWMA 관리도 (A Study of Demerit-DEWMA Control Chart)

  • Complex products may present more than one type of defects and these defects are not always of equal severity. These defects are classified according to their seriousness and effect on product quality and performance. So, demerit systems are very effective systems to monitor the different types of defects. Recently, Kang et al.(2009) proposed the revised Demerit-CUSUM for the evaluation of the Demerit-CUSUM control chart performance exactly. In this paper, we present an advanced Demerit control chart using the double EWMA technique. The double EWMA technique is very efficient and strong method for process control where defects and nonconformities occur with various defect types. Moreover, we compare exact performance of Demerit-CUSUM, Demerit-EWMA and Demerit-DEWMA control chart according to changing sample size or mean shifts magnitude. By the result, we confirm that the performance of Demerit-DEWMA control chart is more than the performance of the Demerit-CUSUM and Demerit-EWMA control chart.

Multivariate EWMA Charts for Simultaneously Monitoring both Means and Variances

  • Multivariate control statistics to simultaneously monitor both means and variances for several quality variables under multivariate normal process are proposed. Performances of the proposed multivariate charts are evaluated in terms of average run length(ARL). Multivariate Shewhart chart is also proposed to compare the performances of multivariate exponentially weighted moving average(EWMA) charts. A numerical comparison shows that multivariate EWMA charts are more efficient than multivariate Shewhart chart for small and moderate shifts and multivariate EWMA scheme based on accumulate-combine approach is more efficient than corresponding multivariate EWMA chart based on combine-accumulate approach.

A Study on UBM Method Detecting Mean Shift in Autocorrelated Process Control

  • 오늘날 반도체나 석유 화학 공정과 같이 프로세스 중심의 산업에서는 관측된 자료들 사이에 자기 상관이 존재한다. 자기상관이 존재하는 공정에 대한 관리 방법으로는 관측치를 이용하여 뱃치 평균이 독립에 가까워지도록 뱃치를 구성하여 관리하거나, 관측치의 EWMA (지수 가중치 이동 평균) 통계량을 EWMA 관리도에 적용하는 방법등이 주로 사용되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 관찰치에 대한 관리 방법으로 일반적으로 사용되는 UBM 의 뱃치 크기를 결정하는 방법을 소개하고, ARL(평균 실행 길이)을 기반으로 최적 뱃치 크기를 정하는 방법과 그러한 뱃치 구성에서 공정의 표준 편차를 추정하는 방법을 제안 한다. 자기상관이 존재하는 공정에 대한 개선된 관리도를 제안하고자 한다.

Multivariate EWMA Control Chart for Means of Multiple Quality Variableswith Two Sampling Intervals

  • Because of the equivalence between control chart procedures and hypothesis testing, we propose to use likelihood ratio test (LRT) statistic $Z_i^2$ as the multivariate control statistic for simultaneous monitoring means of the multivariate normal process. Properties and comparisons of the proposed control charts are explored and conducted for matched fixed sampling interval (FSI) and variable sampling interval (VSI) with two sampling interval charts. The result of numerical comparisons shows that EWMA chart with two sampling interval procedure is more efficient than the corresponding FSI chart for small or moderate changes. When large shift of the process has occurred, we also found that Shewhart chart is more efficient than EWMA chart.
