전기폭발법에 의해 제조된 Ni 나노분말의 분급 특성 (Characterization of Classification of Synthesized Ni Nanopowders by Pulsed Wire Evaporation Method)

  • Ni wires with a diameter and length of 0.4 and 100 mm, respectively, and a purity of 99.9% are electrically exploded at 25 cycles per minute. The Ni nanopowders are successfully synthesized by a pulsed wire evaporation (PWE) method, in which Ar gas is used as the ambient gas. The characterization of the nanopowders is carried out using X-ray diffraction (XRD) and a high-resolution transmission electronmicroscope (HRTEM). The Ni nanopowders are classified for a multilayer ceramic condenser (MLCC) application using a type two Air-Centrifugal classifier (model: CNI, MP-250). The characterization of the classified Ni nanopowders are carried out using a scanning electron microscope (SEM) and particle size analysis (PSA) to observe the distribution and minimum classification point (minimum cutting point) of the nanopowders.

  • The microspheres have been developed as a new drug delivery system. Although many particulate drug carriers, such as liposome, niosome and emulsion, have been introduced, injectable and biodegradable microspheres appears to be a particularly ideal delivery system because the local anesthesia is not necessary for the insertion of large implants and for the removal of the device after the drug release is finished. Biodegradable microspheres with nicotine and triamcinolone acetonide are prepared and evaluated. As biodegradible polymers, PLA (M.W. 15,000, PLA-0015), PLGA (M.W. 17,000, RG 502) and PLGA (M.W. 8,600, RG 502H) are used. This study attempted to prepare and evaluate the nicotine and triamcinolone acetonide-incorporated microspheres, which were prepared by two methods, solvent-evaporation and spray-drying methods. The microspheres, as a disperse system for injections, were evaluated by particle size, size distribution, entrapment efficiency, and in vitro drug release patterns. The differences of preparation method, partition coefficient, types of polymer, and preparation conditions of microspheres influence the particle size, entrapment efficiency, and in vitro drug release patterns.

루프소기형태의 2행정기관에서 분사압력 및 분사각도에 따른 분무특성 연구 (Effects of Injection Pressure and Injection Angle on Spray Characteristics in Loop Scavenged Type 2-stroke Engines)

  • The flow field and spray characteristics for loop scavenged type 2stroke engine having pancake shape was numerically computed using KIVA-Ⅱ code. The cylinder has 1intake port, 2side intake ports and 1exhaust port with induced flow angle 25 deg. In engine calculation, the chop techniques is used to strip or add planes of cells across the mesh adjacent to the TDC and the BDC(ports parts) for preventing the demand of exceed time during the computation, providing a control on cell height in the squish region. The modified turbulent model including the consideration of the compressibility effect due to the compression and expansion of piston was also used. The case of 25 deg.(injection angle) which is opposite to scavenging flow direction shows better the distribution of droplets and the evaporation rate of droplets compared to other cases(0 deg., - 25 deg.). When injection pressure was increased, the spray tip penetration became longer. When injection pressure was increased, the interaction between the upward gas velocity and spray droplets strongly cause. Thus the breakup of droplets is strongly occurred and the evaporation rate of droplets was found to be better.

진공증착법으로 제조한 In2O3 나노벨트막의 NO가스감지특성 (NO gas-sensing properties of In2O3 nanobelt films prepared by thermal evaporation)

  • The films of indium oxide $In_{2}O_{3}$) were deposited onto $SiO_{2}$ coated Si wafers by a thermal evaporation method. Substrate temperature was varied from $25^{\circ}C$ to $300^{\circ}C$. Deposition rate increased to $250^{\circ}C$ and then decreased rapidly. The crystallographic properties and surface morphologies of the films were investigated by X-ray diffraction (XRD) and scanning electron microscope (SEM), respectively. The films deposited at $250^{\circ}C$ were found to have a nanobelt structure. Resistor-type gas-sensors were fabricated with $In_{2}O_{3}$ films using Pt as electrodes. The resistance variation of $In_{2}O_{3}$ films with the concentration of NO gas was measured. The $In_{2}O_{3}$ films deposited at $250^{\circ}C$ showed the highest sensitivity to the NO gas.

Preparation of Resveratrol-loaded Poly($\varepsilon$-caprolactone) Nanoparticles by Oil-in-water Emulsion Solvent Evaporation Method

  • Resveratrol-loaded poly($\varepsilon$-caprolactone) (PCL) nanoparticles were prepared by oil in water (O/W) emulsion solvent evaporation method. The morphology of the nanoparticles was evaluated using atomic force microscope (AFM), in which well-shaped and rigid nanoparticles were prepared. The mean particle size of nanoparticles prepared using only dichloromethane (DCM) ($523.5{\pm}36.7\;nm$) was larger than that prepared with a mixture of DCM and either ethanol (EtOH) ($494.5{\pm}29.2\;nm$) or acetone ($493.5{\pm}6.9\;nm$). The encapsulation efficiency of nanoparticles prepared only with DCM as dispersed phase ($78.3{\pm}7.7%$) was the highest of those prepared with solvent mixtures. An increase in the molecular weight of PCL led to an increase in encapsulation efficiency (from $78.3{\pm}7.7$ to $91.4{\pm}3.2%$). Pluronic F-127 produced the smallest mean size ($523.5{\pm}36.7\;nm$) with the narrowest particle size distribution. These results show that dispersed phase, molecular weight of wall materials, emulsion stabilizer could be important factors to affect the properties of nanoparticles.

Temperature Dependence of the Deposition Behavior of Yttria-stabilized Zirconia CVD Films: Approach by Charged Cluster Model

  • Yttria-stabilized zirconia (YSZ) films were deposited with varying temperatures of ZrCl$_4$between 250~55$0^{\circ}C$ with YCl$_3$and the substrate at 100$0^{\circ}C$. Nanoamperes per square centimeter of the electric current were measured in the reactor during deposition and the current increased with increasing evaporation temperature of ZrCl$_4$. The zirconia nanometer size clusters were captured on the grid membrane near the substrate during the CVD process and observed by transmission electron microscopy (TEM). The deposition rate decreased with increasing evaporation temperature of ZrCl$_4$. A cauliflower-shaped structure was developed at 25$0^{\circ}C$ then gradually changed to a faceted-grain structure above 35$0^{\circ}C$. Dependence of the growth rate and the morphological evolution on the evaporation temperature of ZrCl$_4$was approached by the charged cluster model.

  • The Bi$_2$Sr$_2$Ca$_{n}$Cu$_{n+1}$ O$_{x}$, superconducting thin films arc fabricated by using the sputtering and evaporation method. Because we confirmed the sticking ratio of Bi element in the Bi$_2$Sr$_2$Ca$_{n}$Cu$_{n+1}$ O$_{x}$ superconducting thin film fabricated by using the sputtering method was much lower than the expected value, to get the enough number of the flakes of Bi, faraday cup was used to evaporate Bi clement. As a result of the fabrication, Bi 2201 and Bi 2212 single phases could be made by the optima of deposition condition. And we confirmed the sticking coefficient of Bi element was clearly related to the temperature change of the substrate and the generation of Bi22l2 phase

  • By using $45^{\circ}$ obliqued evaporation method with electron beam system, uniformly vertical liquid crystal (LC) alignment was achieved. And a high pretilt angles of about $2.5^{\circ}$ were measured. Also, it was verified that there are no variations of pretilt angle as a function of $SiO_x$ thin film thickness 20 nm and 50 nm. A good LC alignment states were observed at annealing temperature of $250^{\circ}C$. Consequently, the high pretilt angle and the good thermal stability of LC alignment by $45^{\circ}$ obliqued electron beam evaporation method on the $SiO_x$ thin film can be achieved.

용매 증발법에 의한 $Pb(Mg_{1/3}Nb_{2/3})O_3$ 분말 합성 및 유전 성질 (Synthesis of $Pb(Mg_{1/3}Nb_{2/3})O_3$ powder by Solvent Evaporation and its Dielectric Property)

  • Pb(Mg1/3Nb2/3)O3 powder with high purity chemical homogeniety and reactivity was prepared by solvent eva-poration of common solution. The common solution was fabricated using a Pb(NO3)2 Mg(NO)3 and NB solution which was prepared by dissolving NbC in H2O2 acquous solution. In precusor powder prepared by solvent evaporation method the synthetic temperature of Pb(Mg1/3 Nb2/3)O3 phase was lowered. And the formation of homogeneous Pb(Mg1/3Nb2/3)O3 phase was enhanced but the formation of pyrochlore phase was reduced. The dielectric constant of PMN ceramics from the synthesized powder was found to increase with both sintering temperature and excess MgO and subsequent analysis of the microstructures confirmed that this was due to an increase in grain size. The grain size dependence is explained as a consequence of low-permittivity grain boundaries.

오블롱 셀 플레이트 열교환기에서의 R-l34a, R-407C, R-410A의 증발 압력강하에 관한 실험적 연구 (Study on Evaporation Pressure Drop of R- l34a, R-407C, and R-410A in the Oblong Shell and Plate Heat Exchanger)

  • This study reports pressure drops during evaporation for R-l34a, R-407C (a mixture of 23 wt% R-32, 25 wt% R-125, and 52 wt% R-l34A) and R-410A (a mixture of 50 wt% R-32 and 50 wt% R-125) in the oblong shell and Plate heat exchanger. The effects of the mass fluxes, heat fluxes, refrigerant saturation temperatures and vapor quality of refrigerants on the measured data were explored in detail. The present data showed that pressure drops of all refrigerants increase with the vapor quality. At a higher mass flux, pressure drops are higher for the entire range of the vapor quality A rise in the heat flux doesn't show significant effects on the pressure drops. Finally, at a higher saturation temperature the pressure drops are found to be lower. The pressure drops for R-407C were approximately 20% lower than those of R-l34a. R-410A had 33% lower pressure drops than R-l34a. Correlation is also provided for the measured pressure drops in terms of the friction factor.
