The aim of this study was to investigate the distribution of genes that encode multi-drug efflux pumps and virulence factors in Enterococcus faecalis isolated from retail meat and antibiotic resistance patterns of these strains. Of the 277 retail meat samples, 93 Enterococcus faecalis were isolated. The strains exhibited resistance to ampicillin (35.5%), chloramphenicol (6.4%), ciprofloxacin (4.3%), erythromycin (18.3%), levofloxacin (0%), quinupristin-dalfopristin (76.3%), tetracycline (45.2%), teicoplanin (0%) and vancomycin (0%). The strains were positive for MFS type eme(A) (100%), ABC type efr(A) (100%), ABC type efr(B) (98.9%) and ABC type lsa (91.4%) efflux pump gene. The strains were positive for gelE (68.8%), ace (90.3%), asa1 (47.3%), efaA (91.4%) and esp (12.9%) virulence gene. This research will help to assess the hazards associated with the occurrence of drug resistance among enterococci from retail meat. Therefore, it is necessary to monitor enterococcus spp. isolated from retail meat continuously.

Chemical properties of soil in the proposed horticultural complexes of Saemangeun reclaimed tideland were studied for sustainable development of the newly reclaimed land resources. The soil texture of Gwanghwal, Gyehwa, Mangyeong and Okgu complex area were sandy loam. The pH and ESP (exchangeable sodium percentage) were 7.42 to 7.82 and 61.05 to 73.62 %, respectively. Compared to general agricultural land in Korea, the soil organic matter and other plant nutrients were low. The concentrations of heavy metals in the soil were found to be acceptable except several sites where they doesn't meet the warning standard of agricultural land contamination. Continuous monitoring and interception of external pollutants are suggested for water-soil-plant system conservation.

The existence of appropriate teaching materials in foreign language is very essential especially if it is related to safety. Among them, the importance of textbooks is more emphasized because there is no suitable education or curriculum for EPTA (English proficiency test of aviation). A good textbook not only presents the right direction to study but also provides an efficient way to learn. This research exploded how well textbooks for EPTA are organized and analyzed current pilots' responses whether the textbooks are suitable for preparing EPTA through the questionnaire. The conclusion drawn is that textbooks for EPTA should be designed to encourage current and pre-pilots to learn how to communicate with controllers efficiently and briefly, and also should provide proper guide lines for preparing EPTA.

In the wireless Internet, it is so restrictive to use the IPSec. The MIPv4 IPSec's path cannot include wireless links. That is, the IPSec of the wireless Internet cannot protect an entire path of Host-to-Host connection. Also wireless circumstance keeps a path static during the shorter time, nevertheless, the IKE for IPSec SA agreement requires relatively long delay. The certificate management of IPSec PKI security needs too much burden. This means that IPSec of the wireless Internet is so disadvantageous. Our paper is to construct the Mobile IPSec proper to the wireless Internet which provides the host-to-host transport mode service to protect even wireless links as applying excellent WP-IBE scheme. For this, Mobile IPSec requires a dynamic routing over a path with wireless links. FA Forwarding is a routing method for FA to extend the path to a newly formed wireless link. The FA IPSec SA for FA Forwarding is updated to comply the dynamically extended path using Source Routing based Bind Update. To improve the performance of IPSec, we apply efficient and strong future Identity based Weil Pairing Bilinear Elliptic Curve Cryptography called as WP-IBE scheme. Our paper proposes the modified protocols to apply 6 security-related algorithms of WP-IBE into the Mobile IPSec. Particularly we focus on the protocols to be applied to construct ESP Datagram.

The third-stage larvae (L3) of the parasitic nematode, Anisakis simplex, have been implicated in the induction of hyperimmune allergic reactions in orally infected humans. In this work, we have conducted a review of an investigation into immune reactions occurring in animals experimentally infected with A. simplex L3. The patterns of serum antibody productions if the experimental animals against excretory-secretory products (ESP) of A. simplex L3 contributed to our current knowledge regarding specific humoral immune reactions in humans. In our review, we were able to determine that L3 infection of experimental animals may constitute a good model system for further exploration of immune mechanisms and allergy in anisakiasis of humans.

The process of the study is presented in the following. 1) selection reference model for simulation and verification of reference model with computer simulation program(DOE2.1E and ESP-r 9.0). 2) analysis of effect according to insulation-thickness, installed insulation position, kinds of windows, rate of infiltration, Finally, the results of this study will be to provide the most reasonable method concerned with self-sufficient house.

Two patients with funnel chest deformity were corrected in the department of Thoracic Surgery, N.M.C. The first case was a 12 months old male suffering from recurrent upper respiratory tract infection and symmetrical funnel chest deformity, of which hollow cavity was measured 40 ml of water. He was corrected by method of sternal turnover. The result was satisfactory. The second case was a 16 years old male suffering from exertional dyspnea, recurrent upper respiratory tract infection, wheezing sound [esp., at night], and asymmetrical funnel chest deformity, of which hollow cavity was measured 80 ml of water. He was corrected by modified Ravitch method. Until postoperative 4 months, result was satisfactory. Thereafter, respiratory wheezing, exertional dyspnea and chest wall deformity were returned to pre-operative status.

One of the most weak parts for energy loss through the whole building components are building envelopes. Lots of technbologies to increase the thermal performance of building envelopes have been introduced in recent years. Transparent insulation is a new technology for building insulation and has function both solar transmittance and thermal insulation. This study has been carried out to develope the transparent insulation panels and TI-wall system and to analyze the thermal performance of TI-wall system by experiments using test-cell and dynamic energy simulation program ESP-r 9.0. This system is regarded as a efficient building envelope system suitable for to reduce the heating and cooling load of the buildings in our country.

A study on the synthesis of zeolite from bituminous coal ESP fly ash as a raw material, which was emitted from the power plant, was carried out to reduce environmental problems and reuse of the industrial wastes. Bituminous coal fly ash was used as the source of silica and alumina. Zeolite was synthesized by hydrothermal reaction in aqueous NaOH solution with sodium aluminate as additive. The objective of this study is to elucidate the effect of several experimental variables on the synthesis of zeolite. The effects of preroasting temperature, mixing speed, leaching alkalinity, and molar ratio of Na$_{2}$O/SiO$_{2}$ and SiO$_{2}$/Al$_{2}$O of the products were investigated. The synthesized zeolite was proved to be NaA, which is known as 4A type, by comparing with SEM images, and X-ray diffraction analysis. And also we know that the transformation of zeolite A take places into other types of zeolites, i.e. Hydroxysodalite, zeolite P, with the variation of leaching alkalinity.

This study intends to the adequacy inspection of the room temperature variation rate that is available in the building heat performance evaluation index, so we performed the sensitivity analysis about the room temperature variation rate and the energy consumption in the room. For these purpose, we supposed the models which are composed of the various window area, insulation thickness and ventilation rate. Then we analyzed the simulation using the ESP-r and Seoul weather data. In this research, the pattern of the increasing & decreasing rate of annual load according to the change of the various design factors is similar to the pattern of increasing & decreasing rate of not the K-values but the room temperature variation rate. Also we derive the optimum value of the various design factors and the room temperature variation rate in this analysis model. Further study is to be required the development of convenient tool to use in the real design.
