The purpose of this study is to analyze the setting and directions of cross-curricular learning topics based on research on experts' recognition of cross-curricular learning topics. The study method adopted was Delphi, and the subjects selected were curricular experts. This study has drawn following results: first, regarding the essence and problems of cross-curricular learning topics, even among the experts, there is no opinion agreed about cross-curricular learning topics' concept, essence, or characters. Second, more detailed discussion is demanded to select cross-curricular learning topics and set up a guideline about the operation. Third, it is needed to examine closely if presently suggested cross-curricular learning topics are duplicated or not and consider related subjects connected with those cross-curricular learning topics to improve education more systematically. Fourth, it is necessary to conduct more profound and systematic research on core competence that can embrace those cross-curricular learning topics. Fifth, to cope with changes in society and demands at school, it is needed to discuss how cross-curricular learning topics should be added or which learning topics should be added.

Sound Art retains heterogeneous and borderless inborn-characteristics on it. Despite it is a non-mainstream art which could not foster fertile soil to bring up many established artists yet, the domestic area is keep growing and expanding. And now it will soon be that time of overcoming the debates between the art world and the music world to widely embrace de-facto artworks and practices, and bringing more quality critiques. This article talks about a concise history of sound art by addressing some singularities and chronicle traces of it which may be helpful information to lead into more opened future discussion forums in the domestic sound art field.

HL7 is well-Known standard protocol for text data generated in hospital information systems. Vital sign information web viewer systems is also the standard protocol for medical image and transfer. In order to embrace new technologies as telemedicine service, it is important to develope the standard protocol between different systems in the hospital, as well as the communication with external hospital systems. In this paper, we proposed integration method between vital sign web viewr systems and hospital information systems. Through the proper data exchange and modification of information management, HIS will offer better workflow to all hospital employee.

Improving grid connection of wind farms is a relevant issue to be addressed, especially for fixed-speed wind turbines. Certain elements, such as FACTS (Flexible AC Transmission Systems), are able to perform voltage and reactive power regulation in order to support voltage stability of wind farms, and compensate reactive power consumption from the grid. Several devices are grouped under the name of FACTS, which embrace different technologies and operating principles. Here, three of them are evaluated and compared, namely STATCOM (Static Synchronous Compensator), SVC (Static Var Compensator) and SSSC (Static Synchronous Series Compensator). They have been modeled in MATLAB/Simulink, and simulated under various scenarios, regarding both normal operation and grid fault conditions. Their response is studied together with the case when no FACTS are implemented. Results show that SSSC improves the voltage stability of the wind farm, whereas STATCOM and SVC provide additional reactive power.

For preservice teachers' instrumental-to-relational pedagogical content knowledge transformations, this research designed several didactical tasks based on Kinach's cognitive strategies. The researcher identified preservice teachers' understanding about what is a definition and how to teach it. By challenging their fixed ideas about definitions, the researcher could motivate them to embrace the new teaching approach which guides reinvention of definitions. The PCK development was not the simple process of filling their tabular rasa PCK with theories of mathematics education, but the dialectical process of identifying, challenging, changing and extending preservice teachers' existent PCK. This research will contribute to explore new directions of mathematics teachers' PCK development and the method of teacher education.

The motivation for transforming the Seoul City Hall plaza into place for pedestrians was prompted by the 2002 World cup event. This place has diverse time layers ranging from the Yi-dynasty to the present. Around city hall, diverse cultural assets and distinctive architecture are scattered. The place is a kind of melting pot that represents different times and cultures in the city. Transforming place for cars into place for citizens suggest several implications in city making policy such as high priority for pedestrians in urban design and enhancement of the public open spaces through downtown remodelling. Our plan is to propose the idea of Media plaza. One of the characteristics of Seoul now can be summarized as Media because the W industry and infrastructure are well developed in the city. ´Seoul Media Plaza´ adopts high-tech infrastructures such as RGB color post, multi box, I-Gate, etc as design materials. Three concepts of the plan are ´evolutionary plan´, ´flexible plan´, and ´participatory plan´. First, the plan will embrace the future changes of external conditions. Second, the plan should be flexible to accomodate the diverse activities in the plaza. Another special aspect of the plan is a kind of open plan. The ground surface of the plaza will be changed in its pattern and shape by citizen participation. Finally, the ´Seoul Media Plaza´ attempts to represent the spirit of Seoul and to connect the past, the present and the future while promoting citizen participation.

This paper examines career self-help advice as one of the important channels that offers converged information, as well as influences popular perception, on white-collar labor market changes in the U.S. In this regard, the paper critically looks at career self-help advice by examining its discourses on the shift to white-collar employment insecurity as well as their problems. It especially focuses on a few of the leading career self-help books as an exemplary case, showing that they urge people to readily embrace the rise of precarious employment by presenting it as an inevitable as well as positive and empowering development. The paper also explores the problems with such accounts, showing how they foremost serve the needs of corporations seeking workplace changes.

Purpose: The importance of sustainability in the supply chain has steadily risen in recent decades as a result of the growing awareness on the social issues. The purpose of this research is to examine the relationship between social sustainability practices and performance outcomes, as well as explore the mediating role of supply chain integration on that relationship. Research design, data and methodology: PLS-SEM model is developed to identify the impacts of sustainability on performance outcomes and the mediating role of supply chain integration. We received 285 responses from medium and large companies located in Vietnam, and after filtering, 206 responses were used for further analysis. Results: Our findings showed that sustainability impacts significantly on integration and performance in the supply chain. Moreover, the result indicates that supplier integration and internal integration mediate the relationship between social sustainability practices and supply chain performance, while customer integration mediation role was not found significant at all. Conclusions: Our results prove that social sustainability practices can link all the stakeholders and enhance collaboration. To maintain sustainable development, firms should embrace values of sustainability to improve the well-being, working condition, and healthcare of their employees as well as the advancement of local society.

Purpose: For the last few decades, human civilization has observed an enormous change due to digitalization. However, question remains whether and how management accounting has been transformed to meet the demand of the digitalization. This paper provides a literary illustration of such transformation in the context of a digitalized world. Research design, data and methodology: This is a conceptual study based on extant literature. Therefore, the secondary sources of materials were used. Materials include literatures published in this domain, archival documents, and other publicly available data. Results: Drawing from literary evidence, the paper first highlights the evolving character of management accounting. Then it illustrates the changing landscape in the milieu of global and institutional settings with a focus in accounting profession. It further demonstrates the digitalization impact in management accounting. Here it also identifies the changing role of management accountants. Conclusions: The paper is critical for the management accounting professionals in identifying the attributes and nature of management accounting in the contemporary world. It also provides a sketch of the potential skillset that management accounting professionals should embrace to tackle the challenges of the new environment.

Gnaphalium L. is a small herbaceous genus comprising up to 80 species in worldwide (Asia, North to South America, Africa, and Oceania). This genus is highly polymorphic which embrace uncommon broad morphological boundary, and thus further studies were needed to proper taxonomic delimitations for the genus and its relatives. Gnaphalium uliginosum L. was usually found in moist sites such as margins of lake, pond, reservoir, stream banks and paddy field. This squat plant is solely known species in Korean Gnaphalium. During the revisionary study of the tribe Gnaphalieae (Asteraceae) in Korea, however, we found several materials in domestic herbaria (e.g., SNU, KWNU) that identified as G. uliginosum or Gamochaeta pensylvanica (Willd.) Cabrera collected from central to northern Korea, but clearly differ to the morphology of G. uliginosum. The external morphology of the materials is seemingly the only feature at odds with G. uliginosum. However, its morphological characters such as tall erected stems (ca. 30cm), hairs on seeds and whitish tomentose hairs on the whole plants are easily distinguished from G. uliginosum, and rather it looks like G. tranzschelii Kirp. Although the name G. tranzschelii have been treated as synonym of G. uliginosum by several authors, its distinct morphology might be sufficient to separate to two independent taxa. Generally, the morphological polymorphisms and hybridization of G. uliginosum complicate the taxonomy of the species, and thus further investigation for their habitat, distribution and morphology were needed to their taxonomic entity.
