초고압 XLPE 전력케이블 절연두께 저감화 (Reduction of Insulation thickness for EHV XLPE power cable)

  • The manufacturing technology of XLPE power cable ( e.g. gas curing, triple common extrusion, clean room, super-clean compound, etc.) had been developed in 1960's and the design parameter of insulation thickness for EHV XLPE power cable at present was determined in 1960's. But, the quality of XLPE power cable has been improved up to now. The re-evaluation of design parameter for insulation thickness reductions is required and so we performed weibull plotting test using model cable. This paper describes the evaluation details of the insulation characteristics according to weibull plotting test.

  • The failure occurs in the system of the underground transmission line, the time of restoration is very long, the damage from stopping power supply is very serious and the cost of restoration is very great. because of these problems, the system and equipment must be protected from every electrical failure by installing protection unit. This study is summarized and compared the effects of configuration method of cable protection device with respect to surges in EHV (Extra High Voltage) underground transmission system.

  • 최근 전력수요의 급증과 더불어 기기의 소형화와 경랑화를 위해 고분자절연재료의 사용이 증가하였으며, 근래 들어 환경성의 문제가 거론되면서 반영구적인 절연재료의 요구가 급증하였다. 그로 인하여 초고압 케이블의 절연재료로서 가교폴리에틸렌이 사용되어지고 있다. 이에 본 논문에서는 초고압전력용 케이블에서 절연재료로 사용되고 있는 가교폴리에틸렌 (XLPE) 내부전계분포 및 파괴전압과의 상관관계를 알아보기 위해 케이블에 칩 전극을 삽입하여 두께를 0.5, 1, l.5 [mm] 변화시켜 파괴전계를 검출하였으며, 또한 와이블 해석을 통한 파괴전압의 척도파라미터룰 검출하여, 시뮬레이션 인가전압으로 사용하였다. 시뮬레이션 경계요소법 (BEM)을 이용한 3 차원 전계해석 프로그램으로 조사하였다.

  • This paper presents the pressure-rise of the puffer cylinder in a model gas circuit breaker and the analyzed results of thermal interruption capability in SLF(short line fault) to the diameter of the puffer cylinder. This paper can be applied to the design of the EHV interrupter.

  • This paper describes the corona characteristics of conductor bundle for EHV transmission line. To reduce the corona noise, the asymmetric conductor bundle to minimize the electric field of the conductor surface is proposed. The charge simulation method is used to formulate the electric field of conductor surface and the optimal arrangement of subconductor to minimize it is selected to apply the nonlinear successive quadratic programming. Through the analytical comparison and the corona cage test, it is proved that the asymmetric conductor bundle proposed in this paper can reduce the average maximum electric field of the phase conductors and the corona noise more than the conventional symmetric conductor bundle and asymmetric conductor bundle by GE.

  • To find out the reason of accident by being stained of insulators, this paper researched and analyzed the result of electrical characteristic test and field test of EHV insulator through artificial contaminated method. The best way to evaluate contaminated level of insulator surface is getting a contamination data by regional groups continually. But it is needed a lot of time and manpower. To overcome those difficulties, this research introduced ESDD(equivalent salt deposit density) measurement method which is adapted to the international codes of IEC and compared the relation between experimental test results which contaminated insulators by going through stain procedure and electrical measurement results.

  • Experimental equipments for long-term outdoor tests of EHV insulators in outdoor were constructed. The testing insulators have been energized with 89 [kV] phase-to-ground AC voltage under identical condition at station, and the investigation was carried out for leakage current and various environments such as temperature, relative humidity and wind velocity. The test results of leakage current wave trends have forms on distorted waves including harmonics. The porcelain and glass insulators have low leakage current in case of daytime because moisture and humidity have relative low values. In comparison with these conditions, high leakage current was shown at dawn and rainy day due to high humidity. However, leakage current of polymer insulators was shown approximately $129[{\mu}m]$ without relation to the weather due to hydrophobicity on their surface.

  • This paper researched leakage current characteristics of artificially contaminated EHV insulators through construction of long-term testing facility. Insulators were contaminated and classified into the ESDD contaminated levels under IEC standards method. As the test results of contaminated insulators was carried out several experiments, leakage current greatly increased during initial rainfall. After contaminated insulators were naturally washed by rain, leakage current was not increased.

  • This paper presents the Implementation and performance simulation of HSGS(High Speed Ground Switch)-Adaptive scheme for EHV transmission. EMTP/TACS(Transient Analysis of Control System) functions are combined and used for the implementation and simulation. The simulation results are compared with those for the conventional reclosing scheme and discussed.

  • This paper presents a new magneto-thermal finite element analysis for predicting the temperature rise of the EHV GIS bus bar. The power losses of a bus bar calculated by the magnetic field analysis are used as the input data to predict the temperature rise for the thermal analysis. The heat-transfer coefficients on the boundaries are analytically calculated by applying the Nusselt number considering material constant and model geometry for the natural convection. The temperature distribution in a bus bar by coupled magneto-thermal finite element analysis shows good agreement with the experimental data.
