We investigated and analysed the actual conditions and characteristics of railroad noise levels for 17 sites in the vicinity of the Seoul-Pusan Line. The results i,we summarized as follows : 11 Railroad noise level ranged to 64 ~ 74 $L_{eq}$ dB(A) at day time and ranged to 60 ~ 72 $L_{eq}$ dB(A) at night time. 21 Increased night noise level depend on the increase of trains passing at night time. 31 The major factor of Increased noise level in the vicinity of stations are using loudspeakers and stream whistle on trains. 4) Decreased effect of noise according to distance is able to be described quantitatively using regression equations of multiplicative model. $L_{eq}$=$78.59^{X-0.056}$, n =25, r=-0.994, s.e. =1.007 $P_{av}$ = $105.68X^{-0.073}$, n =25, r =-0.997, s.e. = 1.007 Also increased and decreased effect of noise according to floor in apartment Is able to be described quantitatively using regression equations of multiplicative model. $L_{eq}$ = $64.238X^{0.0567}$, n = 39, r = 0.787, s.e. = 1.004 $P_{av}$ =79.963X0.0524, n =39, r =0.689, s.e. = 1.056 5) Average noise level in high floor is over 70 $L_{eq}$ dB(A) at day and night time. so more detailed soundproofing countermeasured in high floors apartment is required.

Age and growth of Dictyosoma burgeri, sampled in the costal waters off Sanyang, Tongyeong, Ky$\breve{o}$ngnam during December 1992∼November 1993, were studied by otolith reading. Examination of outer margins of the otolith showed that the opaque zone as annulus was formed once a year with being mainly configured in November. Spawning period was estimated from January to March, with a peak in Feburary. Growth of the fish was expressed by the von Bertalanffy's equation as $L_t=23.5977(1-e^{-0.2542(t+2.1302)})$, $W_t=64.5892(1-e^{-0.2542(t+2.1302)})^{2.3002}$, where $L_t$ is total length in ㎝, $W_t$ is total weight in g and t is age.

The hemolyic polypeptide in delta-endotoxin from Bacillus thun'ngiensis subsp. darmstadiensis 73ElO-2 was purified by Sephadex G-IOO gel filtration and DEAE-cellulose ion exchange column chromatography. The purity of hemolysin was confirmed by ouchterlony test and SDS-PAGE. The molecular weight of the purified hemolysin was approximately 64 KDa by SDS-PAGE. The purified hemolysin has not mosquitocidal activity against larvae of Aedes agypti, but hemolytic activity on red blood cells of rat. There is no serological relationship between delta-endotoxin from B. thuringiensis subsp. israelensis and the purified hemolysin from the . strain 73ElO-2.

The aim of this study was to investigate the erythromycin resistance patterns of Enterococci sp. present in cow milk. A total 110 erythromycin resistant Enterococci were isolated from milk samples; E. faecalis (n=101), E. avium (n=7), and E. durans (n=2). The minimum inhibitory concentration of erythromycin against 110 Enterococci were determined. The 66.3% of Entercocci (n=73) showed high level resistance (${\geq}64$ mg/ml). Among 110 isolates, 86.3% (n=95) showed $cMLS_B$ phenotype and 13.6% (n=15) showed $iMLS_B$ The aim of this study was to investigate the erythromycin resistance patterns of Enterococci sp. present in cow milk. To understand the effect of microstructural factors (i.e., the size of ${\alpha}$ phase, equiaxed vs bimodal structure) on high cycle fatigue (HCF) and fatigue crack propagation (FCP) behaviors of mill-annealed Ti-6Al-4V (Ti64) alloy, three specimens of EQ (equiaxed)-8 (8 indicates the size of ${\alpha}$ grain), BM (bimodal)-8, and BM-16 were studied. The uniaxial HCF and FCP tests were conducted at an R ratio of 0.1 under sinusoidal fatigue loading. The microstructural influence (i.e., EQ vs BM) was not significant on the tensile properties of mill-annealed Ti64 alloy, and showed an increase in tensile strength and elongation with decreasing gauge thickness from 50 mm to 1.3 mm. The microstructure, on the other hand, affected the resistance to HCF substantially. It was found that the EQ structure in mill-annealed Ti64 has better resistance to HCF than the BM structure, as a result of different crack initiation mechanism. Unlike HCF behavior, the effect of microstructural features on the FCP behavior of mill-annealed Ti64 was not significant. Among the three specimens, BM-16 specimen showed the highest near-threshold ΔK value, probably because it had the greatest slip reversibility with large ${\alpha}$ grains. The effect of microstructural factors on the HCF and FCP behaviors of mill-annealed Ti64 alloy are discussed based on fractographic and micrographic observations.

The purpose of this study is to design and develop the e-mentoring system which supports the effective information education and to evaluate the usability of the system. Through literature reviews of related studies, an effective e-mentoring performance model was drawn. An e-mentoring system was designed and developed based on the model. 237 middle school students who had participated in e-mentoring for the information education evaluated the usability of the system. As a result of it, the system was considered good in both category(supporting mentoring(M=3.63), technology(M=3.78). The means of subcategories of 'supporting mentoring'(instructional easiness, psychological safety, and adaptability) were scored 3.65, 3.30, 3.43 respectively. And means in the subcategories of 'technology'(usefulness, accuracy, and look & feel) were 3.90, 3.64, and 3.73. It can be concluded that the e-mentoring system developed in this study was effective in mentoring information education.

From April 2008 to January 2009, a total 458 raw milk samples were randomly collected from 15 stock raising farms located in northern area of Kyunggi province and cultured for the presence of Enterococci spp. A total 170 enterococcal isolates were recovered from the raw milk samples. Enterococcus faecalis was predominant species recovered (64.7%), followed by E. faecium (18.8%), E. avium (5.9%), E. gallinarum (5.9%) and E. durans (4.7%). Antimicrobial resistance patterns of 170 Enterococci spp. against ampicillin, erythromycin, tetracyclin, chloramphenicol, vancomycin, ciprofloxacin and streptomycin were tested. According to the result, they showed high level resistance to erythromycin and streptomycin (82,9% and 93,5% respectively), moderately resistance to ampicillin, chloramphenicol and tetracyclin (50%, 45.9% and 32%, respectively) but fortunately, vancomycin and ciprofloxacin are still effective against this species.

The present study compared purification methods of hen egg yolk immunoglobulin (IgY) from the hen immunized with Edwardsiella tarda. The purification of anti-E. tarda IgY was performed by four different methods, polyethylene glycol (PEG), chloroform polyethylene glycol (Chloroform-PEG), ammonium sulfate and purification kit. Purified IgY had heavy chain of 64 kDa and light chain of 27 kDa size. IgY purified from the hen immunized with E. tarda showed higher ELISA values and agglutination titers than those with IgY purified from the non-immunized hen as a negative control. In addition, purified IgY recognized similar E. tarda proteins to those with anti-E. tarda rabbit serum by western blotting. Purified IgY had an agglutination titer of 1:512 by PEG method and ammonium sulfate method, and 1:128 by chloroform-PEG method and purification kit. Moreover, PEG method was the most rapid method among the four different IgY purification methods. These results indicate that PEG method is effective purification method maintaining biological activity of the IgY.

The quantitative contents of carbon monooxide in fresh blood for smokers and nonsmokers were measured by uv-visible spectrophotometric methods on the teenagers and adults. As a result, all blood contained some level of carbon monooxide. Typical teenager nonsmokers had a carbon monooxide level between 2.45 and 2.73%, smokers had a between 7.64 and 8.81%. On the other hand, adult nonsmokers contained carbon monooxide to 3.55% in fresh blood and adult smokers had 10.64%. This means that smokers have more carbon monooxide in blood than nonsmokers at the all ages.

In this paper we are investigating how ubiquitous revolution in knowledge society changes the education system. By the help of ubiquitous computing and networking techniques we estimates the configuration of e-teaming in the age of knowledge -based society, and we examines Education Model with e-teaming and ICT (Information and Communication Technology) at e-School. We also suggest the feasible design of the e-School and a Blended-learning scheme based on cooperative education as a way of teaching Education.
