Numerical Analysis Dynamometer (Water Brake) Using Computational Fluid Dynamic Software

  • One of the most popular internal combustion engines is the engine in the transportation device. Power is a parameter that shows the capabilities of an object that gives energy, for example the internal combustion engine. Power in this engine is measured by a device called dynamometer. The CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamic) fluent software was simulated several impeller variables to absorb power of engine. With that result, we knew the biggest dynamometer absorber power, cheapest and easy to be made. The hydraulic dynamometer is selected type of dynamometer as the result of design process. The basic principle of a hydraulic dynamometer is the same as centrifugal pump but it has low pump efficiency. The results of the test are maximum power and torque of the tested engine and the operation area of the selected hydraulic dynamometer.

  • At the processing capabilities and operating frequency of embedded system are growing, so is the needed data bandwidth to fully utilize the processing capability. The ability to transfer huge amount of data between the embedded core and external devices is required for efficient system operation. In this paper, the data communication architecture for the mixed-clock system is proposed. The dynamic priority adaptation algorithm for bus arbitration is proposed for bandwidth guarantee. The communication architecture that incorporates the proposed arbitration algorithm adapts the priority of communication components dynamically based on the information from FIFO. The experiments show that the measured bandwidth of each component traces the required bandwidth well compared to the other arbitration algorithms

  • In this article, we develop a 'dynamic' approach to manufacturing improvement, based on perspectives of manufacturing learning and decision theory. First, we present an alternative definition of production system consistent with a decision-theoretic perspective: the system consists of structural, infra-structural, and decision making constructs. A primary proposition is that learning capability possessed by a manufacturing system be prerequisite for the system to improve its manufacturing performance through optimal controlling of the three constructs. To support the proposition, we elaborate on a mathematical representation of "learning" as defined in an applied setting. We show how the learning capability acts as an integrating force ameliorating the trade-off between two key manufacturing capabilities, i.e., process controllability and process flexibility.exibility.

  • This paper concerns the analytical modeling and dynamic analysis of advanced cantilevered blade structure implemented by a dual approach based on structural tailoring and viscoelastic materials technology. Whereas structural tailoring uses the directionality properties of advanced composite materials, the passive materials technology exploits the damping capabilities of viscoelastic material(VEM) embedded into the host structure. The structure is modeled as a composite thin-walled beam incorporating a number of nonclassical features such as transverse shear, secondary warping, anisotropy of constituent materials, and rotary inertias. The case of VEM spreaded over the entire span of the structure is considered. The displayed numerical results provide a comprehensive picture of the synergisitic implications of the application of both techniques, namely, the tailoring and damping technology on vibration response of thin-walled beam structure exposed to external time-dependent excitations.

  • This paper addresses the control of free and dynamic response of composite rotating pretwisted blade modeled as non-uniform thin-walled beam fixed at the certain presetting and pretwisted angle and incorporating piezoelectric induced damping capabilities. A distributed piezoelectric actuator pair is used to suppress the vibrations caused by external disturbances. The blade model incorporates non-uniform features such as transverse shear, secondary warping and includes the centrifugal and Coriolis force field. A velocity feedback control law relating the piezoelectiriccally induced transversal bending moment at the beam tip with the appropriately selected kinematical response quantity is used and the beneficial effects upon the closed loop eigenvibration and dynamic characteristics of the blade are highlighted.

  • To resolve several arguments raised for the current analysis of a structure like top hat, which is composed of flange, cylinder and plate, the dynamic response analysis is performed for the full and half models. The dynamic characteristics are investigated for full and half models and the results are compared between them. The responses such as bolt reactions and stresses due to random loading are also obtained using the analysis capabilities between commercial programs which have the routine for the random vibration analysis. Several general purpose structural analysis programs are used to get the response due to the random loadings. Also the application of the random loading and the effect of correlations such as fully correlated, partially correlated and fully uncorrelated cases are studied and the general directions for the generation of design loads due to random loading are suggested.

  • This paper describes a classical algorithm carrying out dynamic 3D obstacle recognition for autonomous underwater vehicles (AUVs), Support Vector Machines (SVMs). SVM is an efficient algorithm that was developed for recognizing 3D object in recent years. A recognition system is designed using Support Vector Machines for applying the capabilities on appearance-based 3D obstacle recognition. All of the test data are taken from OpenGL Simulation. The OpenGL which draws dynamic obstacles environment is used to carry out the experiment for the situation of three-dimension. In order to verify the performance of proposed SVMs, it compares with Back-Propagation algorithm through OpenGL simulation in view of the obstacle recognition accuracy and the time efficiency.

  • This paper presents a new approach to the design of neural control system using digital signal processors in order to improve the precision and robustness. Robotic manipulators have become increasingly important in the field of flexible automation. High speed and high-precision trajectory tracking are indispensable capabilities for their versatile application. The need to meet demanding control requirement in increasingly complex dynamical control systems under significant uncertainties, leads toward design of intelligent manipulation robots. The TMS320C31 is used in implementing real time neural control to provide an enhanced motion control for robotic manipulators. In this control scheme, the networks introduced are neural nets with dynamic neurons, whose dynamics are distributed over all the network nodes.

  • 본 논문에서는 동적 움직임을 갖는 장애물이 위치한 주행환경에서 이동로봇의 충돌회피 기능을 포함하는 효율적인 반응경로계획 기법을 제안하고자 한다. 로봇의 동적 장애물과의 충돌회피 기능을 위해서 반응경로계획기법을 기반으로 키넥트센서를 이용한 센서융합기법의 보완을 통해서 자율주행의 강건성을 증대시키고자 하였다. 반응경로기법에서 사용된 접근방식은 동적장애물을 가상좌표평면에서 지역관측기개념을 이용하여 정적장애물로 좌표변환을 가능하게하며, 생성된 가상평면에서의 로봇과 장애물의 충돌 발생 가능한 속도와 경로의 운동학적 정보추출이 가능하게 된다. 또한 키넥트 센서 정보를 융합하여 장애물의 방향과 위치 정보를 추정하여 동적 환경에서의 주행성능의 정미도를 증대시키고자 하였다. 본 연구에서 제안 기술의 성능을 검증하기 위해서 임베디드 로봇플랫폼과 여러 개의 동적 장애물을 이용하여 시뮬레이션 해석 및 실험을 수행하였다.
