척추경 나사못의 디자인이 고정력 및 구동 토크에 미치는 영향 분석: 이중 나사 및 이중 피치 나사 (Mechanical Performance Comparison of Pedicle Screw Based on Design Parameters: Dual Lead and Dual Pitch)

  • One of the most common problems with pedicle screw system is pullout of the screw. This study was performed to evaluate the pullout strength and driving torque of newly designed pedicle screws. The design of three type screws were standard pedicle screw, which had single lead threaded and single pitched design (Type A), single pitched and dual lead threaded pedicle screw (Type B), dual pitched and dual lead threaded pedicle screw (Type C), respectively. The tests were performed in accordance with the ASTM standards using polyurethane (PU) foam blocks. There was no significant difference in pullout strength among three types of screw. Type B and Type C exhibited higher insertion torque and removal torque than Type A, respectively (p<0.05). Pedicle screws newly developed with dual pitched and dual lead threaded design showed higher driving torque without decrease in pullout strength compared to the standard pedicle screw and could be inserted more rapidly with the same number of revolutions.

  • This Paper presents the design method and performance characteristics of a dual band balun. The design method for dual balun is based on the lumped element eqiuvalent circuit of quater-wave transformaer. By employing the proposed configuration and the derived formulas, dual band balun are designed and simulated and manufactured. The proposed design method and equivalent circuit can make it easy to adapt to designing of ceramic multi-layer chip type dual band balun. The dual band will find applications in wireless communication circuits.

저전력 비동기식 시스템 설계를 위한 혼합형 dual-rail data encoding 방식 제안 및 검증 (Mixed Dual-rail Data Encoding Method Proposal and Verification for Low Power Asynchronous System Design)

  • 본 논문에서는 dual-rail data encoding방식을 적용하여 비동기식시스템을 설계할 때, 신호천이를 줄이고 소비전력을 줄이기 위하여 4-phase handshaking 프로토콜과 2-phase handshaking 프로토콜을 혼합한 dual-rail data encoding방식을 제안한다. 기존의 dual-rail data encoding 4-phase handshaking 프로토콜은 space state가 존재함으로 말미암아 신호 천이가 많이 발생하게 되고 많은 전력소비를 발생한다. 이론적으로 dual-rail data encoding 2-phase handshaking 프로토콜은 dual-rail data encoding 4-phase handshaking 프로토콜보다 빠르고 신호천이도 적지만 표준 라이브러리를 사용하여 설계할 수 없다. 제안하는 혼합형 dual-rail data encoding 방식의 성능을 평가하기 위하여 Adder블록, Multiplier블록, Latch를 포함한 benchmark회로를 설계를 설계하였다. Benchmark회로를 이용하여 시뮬레이션해본 결과, 제안하는 혼합형 dual-rail data encoding방식은 기존의 dual-rail data encoding 4-phase handshaking 프로토콜에 비해 35%이상 전력소비가 감소되는 결과를 얻었다.

  • In this paper, a simplified seismic design method for low-rise dual frame-steel plate shear wall (SPSW) structures is proposed in the framework of performance-based seismic design. The dynamic response of a low-rise structure is mainly dominated by the first-mode and the structural system can be simplified to an equivalent single degree-of-freedom (SDOF) oscillator. The dual frame-SPSW structure was decomposed into a frame system and a SPSW system and they were simplified to an equivalent F-SDOF (SDOF for frame) oscillator and an equivalent S-SDOF (SDOF for SPSW) oscillator, respectively. The analytical models of F-SDOF and S-SDOF oscillators were constructed based on the OpenSees platform. The equivalent SDOF oscillator (D-SDOF, dual SDOF) for the frame-SPSW system was developed by combining the F-SDOF and S-SDOF oscillators in parallel. By employing the lateral force resistance coefficients and seismic demands of D-SDOF oscillator, the design approach of SPSW systems was developed. A 7-story frame-SPSW system was adopted to verify the feasibility and demonstrate the design process of the simplified method. The results also show the seismic demands derived by the equivalent dual SDOF oscillator have a good consistence with that by the frame-SPSW structure.

  • 본 논문은 대부분의 Linux 운영체제에서 지원해 주는 System V의 IPC 중 하나인 Shared Memory를 Dual Core 시스템 상에서 동작하도록 설계한다. Linux에서 사용되는 Shared Memory는 동일한 메모리 영역에 여러 개의 프로세스가 접근할 수 있도록 해 주는 기술이 다. 본 논문에서는 Shared Memory의 큰 두 갈래 중 커널 단계에서 처리되는 SVR(System V Release) 형식의 Shared Memory를 다룬다. 본 논문에서는 리눅스 운영체제의 공유 메모리 기능을 Dual Core 시스템에서 동작하도록 설계한다. 본 논문에서 제안하는 Dual Core 시스템에서 공유 메모리 기능 설계 방안은 듀얼 코어를 활용하여 기존의 단일 처리기 시스템에서보다 성능을 향상시킬 수 있도록 한다. 공유 메모리를 이용한 프로세스의 동작이 별개의 CPU에서 동작되도록 함으로써 성능 향상을 꾀한다.

  • This paper suggests the dual-gap for generating power and increasing the torque of a direct-drive permanent magnet synchronous motor in a hybrid-cycle. To consider easy coil winding, we applied a structure of dual-gap for the permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM). Because the torque of PMSM with the dual-gap is very large, we are designed the appropriate specifications of the PMSM by selected the appropriate dual-gap slot and poles combination. The prototype model is selected by design theory for increasing torque and maximizing output power of PMSM. And the detailed structure design of the model was designed by the loading distribution method. The PMSM models were analyzed by finite element method. Finally, we have suggested appropriate rotor structure has benefit to further increasing torque and prevent decreasing of the output power in PMSM with dual-gap.

  • In this paper, we deal with the development of an optimal design program for a dual-band of 0.92 GHz and 2.45 GHz with shorting pin and slot by using evolution strategy. the optimal shorting pin, coaxial feed and H-shaped patch are determined by using an optimal design program based on the evolution strategy. To achieve this, an interface program between a commercial EM analysis tool and the optimal design program is constructed for implementing the evolution strategy technique that seeks a global optimum of the objective function through the iterative design process consisting of variation and reproduction. The resonance frequencies of the dual-band antenna yielded by the optimal design program are 0.92 GHz and 2.45 GHz that show a good agreement to the design target values.

Design and evaluation of an innovative LWR fuel combined dual-cooled annular geometry and SiC cladding materials

  • Dual-cooled annular fuel allows a significant increase in power density while maintaining or improving safety margins. However, the dual-cooled design brings much higher Zircaloy charge in reactor core, which could cause a great threaten of hydrogen explosion during severe accidents. Hence, an innovative fuel combined dual-cooled annular geometry and SiC cladding was proposed for the first time in this study. Capabilities of fuel design and behavior simulation were developed for this new fuel by the upgrade of FROBA-ANNULAR code. Considering characteristics of both SiC cladding and dual-cooled annular geometry, the basic fuel design was proposed and preliminary proved to be feasible. After that, a design optimization study was conducted, and the optimal values of as-fabricated plenum pressure and gas gap sizes were obtained. Finally, the performance simulation of the new fuel was carried out with the full consideration of realistic operation conditions. Results indicate that in addition to possessing advantages of both dual-cooled annular fuel and accident tolerant cladding at the same time, this innovative fuel could overcome the brittle failure issue of SiC induced by pellet-cladding interaction.
