  • In this study, the design of advanced LVDS(Low Voltage Differential Signaling) I/O interface circuit with new structural low triggering ESD (Electro-Static Discharge) protection circuit was investigated. Due to the differential transmission technique and low signal swing range, maximum transmission data ratio of designed LVDS transmitter was simulated to 5Gbps. And Zener Triggered SCR devices to protect the ESD Phenomenon were designed. This structure reduces the trigger voltage by making the zener junction between the lateral PNP and base of lateral NPN in SCR structure. The triggering voltage was simulated to 5.8V. Finally, The high speed I/O interface circuit with the low triggered ESD protection device in one-chip was designed.

  • MMI (Man Machine Interface) is the system that monitors the operating condition of the ATP/ATC/ATS systems and receives defined information from ATP/ATC/ATS systems through the interface with On-board systems. Based on the data from the ATP/ATC/ATS system, MMI can display the information and status of the train to secure safe operation. It is possible for the display mode and quantities of MMI to be improved by the customer's demand, and it can be designed as the same structure of existing devices for the driver. The ERTMS is Regular Safety Standards of high-speed railroad. It is fundamental structure of European Rail Control System which train control, safety and operate facilities. In this paper, I study requirements of ERTMS form which design function each section of MMI and application at ATP/ATC/ATS combined Train Constrol System.

Analysis of Human Arm Movement During Vehicle Steering Maneuver

  • The analysis of human arm motion during steering maneuver is carried out for investigation of man-machine interface of driver and steering system Each arm is modeled as interconnection of upper arm, lower arm, and hand by rotational joints that can properly represents permissible joint motion, and both arms are connected to a steering wheel through spring and damper at the contact points. The joint motion law during steering motion is determined through the measurement of each arm movement, and subsequent inverse kinematic analysis. Combining the joint motion law and inverse dynamic analysis, joint stiffness of arm is estimated. Arm dynamic analysis model for steering maneuver is setup, and is validated through the comparison with experimentally measured data, which shows relatively good agreement. To demonstrate the usefulness of the arm model, it is applied to study the effect of steering column angle on the steering motion.

  • This paper describes the theoretical background and detailed structure of Navi-HEGS (Navigation system Human factors Evaluation and Guideline System) which has been developed for the human factors and HMI(Human-Machine Interface) researches for a CNS (Car Navigation System) and a digital map. Navi-HEGS is and integrated system that consists of a digital map UIMS(User Interface Management System), a CNS simulator, various evaluation tools, and a design guideline system. If Navi-HEGS is properly applied and utilized, it is possible to extract the substantial users requirements and preferences of a CNS and a digital map and then, these requirements can be simulated and evaluated with various human factors evaluation techniques. Applications of Navi-HEGS can improve the CNS usability, drivers safety and performance that directly affect the success of ITS(Intelligent Transport System). Also, results can be used as the basic data to establish the standards and design guidelines for the driver-centered CNS design.

A 1.5 Gbps Transceiver Chipset in 0.13-μm CMOS for Serial Digital Interface

  • This paper presents a transceiver chipset realized in a $0.13-{\mu}m$ CMOS technology for serial digital interface of video data transmission, which compensates the electrical cable loss of 45 dB in maximum at 1.5 Gbps. For the purpose, the TX equips pre-emphasis in the main driver by utilizing a D-FF with clocks generated from a wide-range tuning PLL. In RX, two-stage continuous-time linear equalizers and a limiting amplifier are exploited as a front-end followed by a 1/8-rate CDR to retime the data with inherent 1:8 demultiplexing function. Measured results demonstrate data recovery from 270 Mbps to 1.5 Gbps. The TX consumes 104 mW from 1.2/3.3-V supplies and occupies the area of $1.485mm^2$, whereas the RX dissipate 133 mW from a 1.2-V supply and occupies the area of $1.44mm^2$.

ZnO세라믹 바리스터에 NiO첨가가 전기적 특성에 미치는 영향 (Influence of NiO additive on electrical properties of ZnO-based ceramic varistors)

  • ZnO-based ceramic varistors containing NiO range 0.5 mol% to 4.0 mol% were fabricated by standard ceramic techniques. The influence of NiO on the microstructure and electrical behavior of ZnO varistor was investigated. As the content of NiO additive increases, average grain size decreased from 16.5.mu.m to 13.2.mu.m, and the amount of NiO existing in the grain interior and grain boundary region was approximately equal. NiO acted as an acceptor which decreases donor concentration due to the increase of Zn vacancy in the grain, and as a driver which migrates Zn interstitial in the depletion region toward the interface of grain boundary, which resulted in the decrease of interface state density. As a result, increasing the content of NiO additive, barrier height, nonlinear exponent, and varistor voltage decreased, and leakage current increased. Wholly, the physical and electrical properties of the ZnO varistor can be said to be affected by the NiO additive.

  • Ad-hoc 네트워크는 중앙의 특별한 관리 체계 없이 기존의 유선 네트워크 또는 기지국을 사용하지 않는 이동 호스트들만으로 구성된 네트워크를 말한다. 최근 Ad-hoc 멀티홉 통신시스템과 같은 확장된 개념의 Ad-hoc 망으로 범위가 넓어지고 있어 QoS에 대한 요구 수준이 증대되고 있다. Ad-hoc 네트워크는 잦은 망 구성의 변화, 라우터의 수, 제한된 사용 자원 등 기존 유선 네트워크와는 다른 특성들을 갖게 된다. 기존의 유선 네트워크에서 사용하던 라우팅 프로토콜들을 무선 ad-hoc 네트워크에 그대로 적용시킨다면 많은 문제점들이 발생하게 된다. AODV 라우팅 프로토콜은 Ad-hoc 네트워크 이동 노드에서 사용할 수 있도록 제안된 라우팅 프로토콜이다. Ad-hoc 네트워크에서 변화하는 네트워크의 토폴로지에서 항상 최적의 경로를 설정하는 AODV 라우팅 프로토콜은 신뢰성 높은 데이터를 제공해 준다. 본 논문에서는 NDIS(Network Driver Interface Specification) 기반의 AODV 라우팅 프로토콜을 이용하여 영상 전송이 성능 저하 없이 동작할 수 있는 시스템을 구현하고 확인하였다.

  • IoT 디바이스의 Plug & Play를 위하여 IoT 디바이스의 대표적인 유선 인터페이스인 USB의 종류를 이미지를 통하여 인식하는 모듈을 개발한다. IoT 디바이스를 구동시키기 위해서는 통신 및 디바이스 하드웨어를 구동하기 위한 드라이버가 필요하다. IoT 디바이스에 연결되는 유선 인터페이스를 스마트폰의 카메라 촬영을 통하여 얻은 이미지를 이용하여서 해당 통신 인터페이스를 인식한다. 대표적인 유선 인터페이스인 USB에 대하여 인공신경망 기반의 기계학습을 통하여 USB의 종류를 분류한다. 인공신경망의 충분한 학습을 위하여 인터넷을 통하여 USB 이미지를 수집하고, 이미지 처리를 통하여 추가적인 이미지 데이터 셋을 확보한다. 합성곱 신경망과 더불어서 다양한 심층 인공신경망으로 인식기를 구현하여서 그 성능을 비교, 평가한다.

평판디스플레이를 위한 열압착법을 이용한 이방성 도전성 필름 접합 (Thermocompression Anisothropic Conductive Films(ACFs) bonding for Flat Panel Displays(FPDs) Application)

  • The effect of temperature on ACF thermocompression bonding for FPD assembly was investigated, It was found that Au bumps on driver IC's were not bonded to the glass substrate when the bonding temperature was below $140^{\circ}C$ so bonds were made at temperatures of $163^{\circ}C$, $178^{\circ}C$ and $199^{\circ}C$ for further testing. The bonding time and pressure were constant to 3 sec and 3.038 MPa. To test bond reliability, FPD assemblies were subjected to thermal shock storage tests ($-30^{\circ}C$, $1\;Hr\;{\leftrightarrow}80^{\circ}C$, 1 Hr, 10 Cycles) and func! tionality was verified by driver testing. It was found all of FPDs were functional after the thermal cycling. Additionally, Au bumps were bonded using ACF's with higher conductive particle densities at bonding temperatures above $163^{\circ}C$. From the experimental results, when the bonding temperature was increased from $163^{\circ}C$ to $199^{\circ}C$, the curing time could be reduced and more conductive particles were retained at the bonding interface between the Au bump and glass substrate.

  • The purpose of rhis research is proposing rhe sysrem which does information supporr as for a truck driver, and verifying the validity. First, it investigated by visiting the Transporr Company and interview for the present situation and the opinion on computerization from the operation administrator and truck drivers. Consequently, the problem of computerization could be found out to the present system. Next, the present system was considered. As for present machine system, human's "Choosing a function", srarts processing. Then this system is called "Function-Oriented-System". And three problems were extracted from this sysrem. As a solution of those problems, the Purpose-Oriented-System was proposed. In order to attain user's purpose, Agent that situation is perceived and works a function autonomously assumed that this system was inherent. 3D-Sceanrio-Expression was proposed as the description method of rhe task process. It consists of "Machine and Functional-Item axis", "Time axis", and "Situation-Item axis". And, the task execution process of Function-Oriented-System and Purpose-Oriented-System was compared using 3D-Sceanrio-Expression supposing the scene of truck business. As a resulr, rhe following two things could be found out. (1) The concepr of Purpose-Oriented-System that Agent is inherent is effective as siruarion correspondence machine. (2) A solid scenario can express the interaction rhar cannor be seen, in the relarion of rhe conventional Human and Machine.
