저토크리플 및 역률개선을 위한 수정된 단상 SRM 구동시스템 (Modified Single-Phase SRM Drive for Low Torque Ripple and Power Factor Improvement)

  • The single-phase switched reluctance motor(SRM) drive requires DC source which is generally supplied through a rectifier connected with a commercial source. The rectifier is consist of a diode full bridge and a filter circuit. Usually the filter circuit uses capacitor with large value capacitance to reduce ripple component of DC power. Although the peak torque ripple of SRM is small, the short charge and discharge current of the filter capacitor draws the low power factor and system efficiency. A modified single phase SRM drive system is presented in this paper, which includes drive circuit realizing reduction of torque ripple and improvement of power factor. In the proposed drive circuit, one switching part and diode which can separate the output of AC/DC rectifier from the filter capacitor is added. Also, a upper switch of drive circuit is exchanged a diode in order to reduce power switching device. Therefore the number of power switch device is not changed, two diodes are only added in the SRM drive. To verify the proposed system, some simulation and experimental results are presented.

  • Currently high power Light Emitting Diode (LED) is in the limelight due to its characteristics of long durability, low maintenance costs, and high efficiency. Furthermore, it does not emit pollutants or poisonous gases and is a light source not using mercury, so it holds a high status in eco-friendly terms as well. In this paper, we studied a two-stage LED power drive circuit that can compensate only voltage regulation through LED output current, in order to improve efficiency of LED drive with constant current control in accordance with changes in temperature. The proposed LED drive has an advantage of reducing LED drive's voltage losses by controlling only voltage change of input power, compared with an existing circuit which controls input voltage. The suggested non-insulation compensating circuit for voltage change was verified to have improved efficiency relative to a LED drive using existing DC/DC converter.

  • An existent hoist drive system is using each different drive equipment in control of Hoisting, traveling(T/L), traversing(T/S) driving, so there are much energy losses because of excessive weight. Also, power circuits are using relay contact, so working environment are frequent secession accident etc.. by shock on unfavorable condition, and there is danger of safety accident, maintenance has frequent problem and so on. To solve these problem, it is integrated each driving power supply in drive system for hoist control and drive, utility power supply etc.. by single device in this research. The power circuit is consisted of non-contact circuit applying to bidirectional voltage controller circuit using thyristor that is power semiconductor switching device

  • In this paper, a high efficiency motor drive system which improves the multi-step response of PM step motors by reducing the transition time of the motor drive current, is studied by designing a dual-voltage drive circuit. The designed drive circuit eventually prevents the motor from decreasing drive torque while the stepping rate is increased. The method of designing a dual-voltage drive circuit with the motor specifications is suggested in order to improve the response of step rate and drive efficiency. Also, despite improving the power efficiency on motor driving, the response characterstics suggested by the motor manufacture's specifications are satisfied without any special deficiency.

  • 대용량 IGBT를 위한 새로운 능동 게이트 구동회로를 제안한다. IGBT의 우수한 스위칭 성능을 성취하기 위해 필요한 여러 구동 조건들을 최적으로 조합시킨 게이트 구동 회로이다. 스위칭 노이즈와 스트레스를 감소시키기 위해 필요한 느린 구동 조건과 스위칭 속도를 증가시키고 손실을 저감시키기 위해 요구되는 고속 구동 조건들을 동시에 만족시키고 있다. 또한 작은 전류의 턴-온시 발생되는 진동현상을 효과적으로 감쇠시킬 수 있는 특성을 지니고 있다.

  • This study is concerned with the operation algorithm and power switch drive circuit for DC Reactor Type High-Tc Superconducting Fault Current Limiter (SFCL). In the case of SFCL, Power switching operation algorithm are very important problem. So, this driving will determine the performance of SFCL. In this paper, we provide a simple algorithm and easy drive circuit. Through experiment we found that ideal is right.

전력선 통신환경에서의 구동회로 개선에 관한 연구 (A study on the improvement of Drive circuit in the Power Line Communication)

  • 전력선 통신에서는 전력을 공급하기 위해 설치된 전력선을 통신 매체로 사용하기 때문에 채널 환경이 열악하다고 할 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 원활한 통신을 위해 신호 감쇠를 저감하는 결합기를 적용한 gate 구동회로를 설계하였다. 결합기의 수신 동작과 송신 동작을 등가회로 해석하여 구동회로에 적합한 임피던스를 갖도록 설계하였다. 그 결과 전력선에 연결된 수 많은 전자 제품들의 상호 작용으로 인한 임피던스 변화에 대한 환경을 개선하여 전력선 통신에서의 BER(Bit Error Rate)을 45% 향상하여 더 원활한 통신을 할 수 있도록 하였다.

  • A simple drive circuit without position sensors for a switched reluctance motor is presented. The turn on and turn off points are determined by detecting the rate of change of the active phase current. The drive circuit consists of a current sensing resistor, RC filter, comparator, OP Amp, and OR gates. It is verified through the experiments that the switched reluctance motor with the proposed sensorless drive circuit is well operated in wide speed ranges.

  • In this paper the low cost sensorless control circuit for a PM synchronous motor without the mechanical rotor position sensors is presented. The sensorless control algorithm and position detection circuit for the sinusoidal current wave drive is more complex than that of the rectangular current wave drive. The proposed position sensing circuit is composed of an operational amplifier and several passive elements. The design procedures for getting the optimal parameters for the position sensing circuit are presented. The performance of the proposed algorithm is verified through the simulations and experiments.
