Classification of moving targets in Pulse Doppler Radar(PDR) for surveillance and reconnaissance purposes is generally carried out based on listening and training experience of Doppler audio signals by radar operator. In this paper, we proposed the automatic classification method to identify the class of moving target with Doppler audio signals using the Mel Frequency Cepstral Coefficients(MFCC) and the Hidden Markov Model(HMM) algorithm which are widely used in speech recognition and the classification performance was analyzed and verified by simulations.

A current velocity measurement radar estimates Doppler frequencies to extract the corresponding surface velocity information. Therefore, it is required to maintain the high degree of reliability and accuracy of Doppler frequency estimates. However, Doppler spectra of water surface return echoes can have very widely varying shapes according to measurement environments and weather conditions. Therefore, serious problems may arise in maintaining the reliability and accuracy of conventional velocity estimating algorithm in a radar sensor. Therefore, in this paper, a newly suggested algorithm is proposed for improvement using estimation of peak Doppler frequencies. The proposed method shows that the more accurate velocity measurement can be possible comparing with the conventional one.

In the conventional pulsed doppler system, gated CW is used to excite a ultrasonic transducer so that a group of linear RF amplifiers are required to excite a ultrasonic array transducer in the scanning pulsed doppler system. A pulsed doppler system without linear high voltage RF amplifiers, which excites the transducer impulsively, is studied theoretically and experimentally. In this paper, an experimental 8-channel pulsed doppler system is implemented, which uses quadrature defection to detect the direction of motion and can compensate the attenuation effect. The designed pulsed doppler system shows the possibility of real time multichannel doppler flow meter.
Among methods to eliminate aliasing effects, the method of increasing velocity scale gradually eliminated the phenomenon in which the direction of the blood flow appeared in reverse. It was done by increasing the velocity scale while maintaining other parameters in the same state. The method of setting the Doppler angle to $0^{\circ}$ did not show significant changes in the wave pattern of the spectrum according to the angle. In actual ultrasonography tests, more accurate tests are expected to be carried out by applying variations to the velocity scale under the considerations of speed, accuracy, and convenience of the examination. The results showed that blood flow velocity increases exponentially according to the Doppler Angle. When the angle goes over $70^{\circ}$, the velocity value increases to an unmeasurable state. This indicates that in blood flow velocity measurements, the blood flow velocity is very dependent on the Doppler Angle. It also shows that the error increases when the incidence angle to the direction of blood flow exceeds $60^{\circ}$, and when the angle exceeds $70^{\circ}$, the error becomes even greater. In addition, he experiment results showed that an angle below $60^{\circ}$ is appropriate and for blood flow velocity measurements in extremity vessels, the most appropriate Doppler Angle is from $45^{\circ}$ to $60^{\circ}$.
This study has investigated the effects of the defects in the probe elements influence Doppler images in the medical ultrasonic scanners. This work was implemented that the quality of Doppler images depended on the extent and location of the probe element defected. The probe performance was rated in terms of the number of piezoelectric elements lost and this was studied in the experiment by electrical disconnection to the elements. The results showed that Doppler velocity became rapidly reduced as the defected elements encountered with the element group activated at the Doppler mode, not as the flow velocity. The effect of the probe defect is decreased when the defects occurred at the element group activated for Doppler mode, as was increased the number of the elements. It was observed that the higher the flow velocity of Doppler flow phantom is, the wider the spectrum of Doppler is. And the Doppler velocity soared up and the dispersion of image brightness is increased when the defected elements got out of the elements activated at Doppler mode. The result showed that TADVP(time-average-Doppler-velocity-profile) is decreased with the increase of the probe element defect, especilly in the region of high frequency. It is expected that the research of various defects of probe elements are needed, and this study can be practical tools for probe based ultrasonic QA in the future.

The flow direction in a glass tube is measured by using a forward scatering dual beam laser Doppler velocimeter with an acousto-optic modulator. We can determine the flow direction by measuring the shifted Doppler frequency which is dependent on the order of modulation of the laser frequency shifting moves only the Doppler signal, enabling complete separation of the Pedestal and Doppler singal.
Ranging and 2-way Doppler measurements are very essential source for orbit determination in LEOP (Launch and Early Operation). This paper shows ranging system features of 13M TT &C antenna and test results recently acquired with KOMPSAT-l. Ranging and 2-way Doppler measurements were compared with KOMPSAT-I GPS telemetry data. Through comparison, it was found that constant and accurate ranging measurements are available with 13M antenna system. Ranging and Doppler measurement function is expected to be used for KOMPSAT-1 and KOMPSAT-2.
This paper concerns methods for ${\mu}$-wave imaging. The image reconstruction of an object by range-doppler preceding using the X-Band Linear-FM signal is presented from tile simulated data. The high degree of range resolution is achived using large signal band width and cross-range resolution is obtained by doppler processing.
SDIAS (Single Doppler Image Analysis System), which can estimate the vertical wind profiles from single Doppler color displays, is developed here. Various single Doppler velocity signatures are simulated using horizontally uniform wind fields that vary with height. This system is very simple and efficient for interpreting the color displays. So, SDIAS can be used to get some useful informations on wind for understanding the present weather situation and forecast.
