This paper is structured into three main parts and a conclusion. The main section provide definitions of efficiency, effectiveness and performance in terms of the distribution channel, followed by a review of related performance measurement, before discussing difficulties of measurement. According to the theoretical approach, it appears that key theroretical issues are centered around customer service, logistics excellence, time compression, the use of IT, and a move towards integrated logistics. The empirical approach shows that in the past, various financial performance indicators were regarded as relevant management information. However, today, management needs additional performance indicators. Therefore, external assessments of effectiveness must be performed to measure customers' satisfaction with the physical flow of product through the distribution channel network. So, what is needed is to take previous normative and explorative research and progress through a framework by developing valid measures of distribution channel's effectiveness and efficiency, and identifying research methodologies suited to the data collection requirements.

The objectives of this thesis are : first, to estimate the parameters and Pr[X < Y] in the Marshall and Olkin's Bivariate Exponential Distribution ; and secondly, to compare the Bayes estimators of Pr[X < Y] with maximum likelihood estimator of Pr[X < Y] in the Marshall and Olkin's Bivariate Exponential Distribution. Through the Monte Carlo Simulation, we observed that the Bayes estimators of Pr[X < Y] perform better than the maximum likelihood estimator of Pr[X < Y] and the Bayes estimator of Pr[X < Y] with gamma prior distribution performs better than with vague prior distribution with respect to bias and mean squared error in the Marshall and Olkin's Bivariate Exponential Distribution.

DAS(Distribution Automation System) is equipped with several software applications such as service restoration, loss minimization, and protective relay coordination. The software applications of DAS are very sensitive to the amount of section load being carried by a particular section of distribution lines. Moreover, each software application requires a different parameter of the section load according to its purpose. Therefore, This paper proposes a new section load management method using real-time measurement data of the distribution lines. In order to provide accurate data to DAS applications, this method considers section loads in terms of the relationship of power versus time. In order to establish that the proposed method is feasible, a performance-testing simulator was developed, and case studies were conducted for a modified real distribution network.

The purpose of this paper is as follow. The first is to investigate ship instrument supplier's and consumer's needs. The second is to study a feasibility of international ship instrument distribution center at Busan port. Therefore, the research scheme was experimented through a questionnaire survey answered by 878 companies. The results of this research indicate the necessity of ship instrument distribution center. The results of this study will be helpful for the success management of ship instrument distribution center.

In this study, focusing on workers wholesale optical frame, analyze the distribution of the optical frame, we studied the improvement of distribution. Has a work in the distribution industry and education in the various age groups, size of the company was small-scale. For the inventory management of the optical frame, systematic management is not performed, expectations for a better distribution system also was not large. In order to ensure better sales, wholesale optical frame company role intermediate of the spectacle manufacturers optical frame consumer deemed it is necessary to ensure the activation of internet sales and joint sale.

After an occurrence of a fault in any distribution system, it is desired to limit the effects of the fault to smallest possible area and restore the un-faulty areas as soon as possible. Due the advancements in communication technologies, this task can be achieved in multiple efficient ways. In order to decrease the restoration time in the Smart Grid Distribution Management System (SDMS) a communication based algorithm is proposed in this paper, in which the restoration can be done during reclosing. This paper also analyzes various communication failures with power failures cases including the entire network of communication failures. Results of all these cases have been verified by doing simulations.

Basel II advanced measurement approaches for operational risk need to estimate the frequency and severity distribution of operational losses. Due to lack of internal loss data, the estimation is impossible in many cases and so external loss data might be used by scaling on asset or gross income. To get around lack of loss data, scenario analysis combined with loss distribution approach can be useful in calculating the capital charge of operational risk. However, scenario based loss distribution approach requires much time and effort. Instead we may apply the analytic hierarchy process to measure operational risk of financial institutions. The analytic hierarchy process combined with loss distribution approach is to estimate the capital charge of operational risk in other areas based on the operational VaR in an area with sufficient loss data. AHP provides a tool for timely measurement of operational risk in this rapidly changing global environment.

Purpose - This study aims to explore the effects of social responsibility activities and business ethics practices on corporate trust and loyalty in the context of a large retail distribution business. Research design, data, and methodology - The data collected was analyzed using PASW Statistics 18.0. In order to verify the demographic characteristics, frequency analysis was conducted on the data. Results - The results of the study were as follows. First, social responsibility activities had a significant effect on corporate trust. Second, both corporate social responsibility activities and business ethics practices had significant effects on loyalty. Third, corporate trust had a significant effect on loyalty. Fourth, corporate social responsibility activities and consumer protection activities had a partial mediation effect, while environmental protection activities and social contribution activities had complete mediation effects. Conclusions - This study clarified and explained the factors of corporate social responsibility activities and business ethics practices that customers value, and analyzed the influence of these factors on corporate trust and loyalty.

The distribution of random sum of i. i. d. exponential random variables is called GHP (Generalized Phase-Type) distribution. The class of GPH distributions is large enough to include PH (Phase-Type) distributions and has several properties which can be applied conveniently for computational purposes. In this paper, we show that any distribution difined on R$^{+}$ can be app-roximated by the GPH distribution and demonstrate the accuracy of the approximation through various numerical examples. Also, we introduce an efficient way to compute the delay and waiting various numerical examples. Also, we introduce an efficient way to compute the delay and waiting time distributions of the GPH/GPH/1 queueing system which can be used as an approximation model for the GI/G/1 system, and validate its accuracy through numerical examples. The theoretical and experimental results of this paper help us accept the usefulness of the approximations based on GPH distribution.n.

Nowadays, a logistics and distribution center plays an important role in all industries. In addition to its traditional functions as a storage and unloading facility the distribution center serves as an assembly place for information, a source of information, and a turning point for the flow of information. On account of the above-mentioned reasons, each and every industry has increasing need of logistics distribution center. At this juncture, the present author thinks that it is necessary to make a study of the establishment and maximization of a ceramics logistics distribution center as a way for activating the ceramics industry.
