The Relationship between Work Values and Entrepreneurial Attitudes: Implications for the Distribution Industry

  • Purpose - This study aims to examine the impact of work values on entrepreneurial attitudes, and test the moderating effect of entrepreneurial opportunity identification on the above mentioned relationship as well. Research design, data, and methodology - A questionnaire survey was conducted to 258 employees who comes from 8 different types of the enterprises in northwestern of China, and the corresponding research model was verified. Results - The results show that "comfort and security" (one dimension of work values) has a significant negative impact on entrepreneurial attitudes. Another two dimensions of work values, such as "competence and growth" and "status and independence" have a significant positive impact on entrepreneurial attitudes. In addition, entrepreneurial opportunity identification has a significant moderating effect on the relations between work values and entrepreneurial attitudes. Specifically, only the entrepreneurship opportunity identification positively moderates the relationship between status & independence and entrepreneurial attitudes. Conclusions - This research further enriches the relevant theories of organizational behavior and entrepreneurships. This study also has guiding significance and value for management practice, especially for this research results implies, that is, individual's ability to entrepreneurial opportunity identification (e.g., identify feasible distribution channel for potential new venture) is important in entrepreneurship.

  • In recent years, the Photovoltaic(PV) industries have been Increasing steadily by an average of 30$\%$ per year. However, it is necessary to reduce PV module cost and to improve conversion efficiency to be promoted distribution of PV Japan, USA and Europe have been researching cost and efficiency of that. In this paper, we try to review diffusion status and policy of PV in these countries. From the results, we will intend to suggest a suitable future course for domestic PV distribution.

  • The global photovoltaic(PV) market is increasing at an annual rate of about $30\%$. A major share of the market has been taken up by building integrated photovoltaic. This paper presents an overview about status of the PV distribution programs for appling to building in the domestic and Japan, USA and Europe which have been playing a leading part in photovoltaic industry. From the results of this paper, we will intend to suggest a suitable future course for domestic PV distribution.

유통산업의 국민경제적 파급효과 분석 - 현황과 산업연관분석을 중심으로 - (An Analysis on the National Economic Impacts of the Distribution Industry-Status and Input-output Analysis)

  • 본 연구는 한국 유통산업의 현황을 파악하고 국민경제적 파급효과를 분석하기 위해 이루어졌다. 한국의 유통산업은 GDP에서 8%내외의 비중을 차지하는 산업이며 최대의 고용처로 전체 취업자수에서 15%대의 비중을 점하고 있는 것으로 밝혀졌다. 그렇지만 주요 선진국에 비해 고용 비중은 유사하지만 GDP에서 차지하는 비중이 낮아 이를 향상시켜야 하는 과제가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 유통산업의 국민경제적 파급효과를 분석하기 위해 유통산업을 도소매업으로 파악하여 산업연관분석을 실시하였다. 산업연관분석을 통해 유통산업의 생산유발효과, 부가가치유발효과, 취업유발효과, 고용유발효과, 산업간 연쇄효과를 파악하고자 했다. 이를 달성하기 위해 유통산업의 산출이 자신에게 미치는 효과를 제외하는 외생화기법을 사용하여, 경제내 타부문에 대한 기여도를 도출하였다. 그리고 실증자료를 기반으로 유통산업이 자체에 미치는 직접적 효과와 타산업에 미치는 간접적 효과로 구분한 총효과도 분석하였다. 산업연관분석 결과, 유통산업은 높은 생산유발효과, 높은 취업유발효과, 높은 고용유발효과를 갖는 것으로 나타났다. 그리고 유통산업은 부동산 및 사업서비스, 운수 및 보관 부문 산업에 높은 생산유발효과 및 부가가치유발효과를 파급하는 것으로 나타났다. 산업간 연쇄효과 분석결과로 유통산업의 전방연쇄효과를 나타내는 감응도계수는 1보다 크고 후방연쇄효과를 나타내는 영향력계수는 1미만인 것으로 파악되었다. 후반부에 본 연구의 정책적 시사점, 한계에 대해 제시하였다.

  • The Purpose of this study is to consolidate the management status of Saggoson in the Choson period by literature research, and examined latest status by field investigation. During the Choson period, there were fish distributors such as Saggoson and Kakju. Saggoson took charge of fish distribution from the fishing ground to the land, and handed over the fish to Kakju who sold over them to the whole country: This distibution system of fish was started from and adapted to the yellow-corvenia fishery of Westhern Sea. There were two resons far this. One was that these fish were. caught much from vast fishing grounds and had a very strong demand, for which professional disributors were needed. The thor was that because fishermen had very limited capital, they had to supply the money for fish production from capitalists like Kakju whom they agreed to sell fish directly to. By this time, it was thought that the fish distibution system for the Westhern Sea fishery was determined by the background and tradition. Meanwile, Saggoson, which has been working far a long time in Westhern Sea, is placed in changing circumstances. That is, small scale fishery Saggoson deals with will be getting fewer, because the big scale reclamation projects in this area threatens the fishery's existence. Also, Saggoson, presently, might be forced to become more efficient in its distribution in the future. In this situation, the management status of a Sggoson in the past and present needs to be consolidated and investigated through this study.

Current Status of Mammal Fauna on Jindo Island, Korea

  • In the present study, to explore the current status of mammals that inhabit Jindo Island, Jeollanam-do, South Korea, a survey was conducted from July 6 to July 9, 2016. Using several survey methods, such as Sherman's live trap, footprint, caves, excretions, and road-kill investigations, the mammals observed on Jindo Island were found to be from 5 orders and 9 families, including 12 species in total. Among them, three species of small mammals were Mogera wogura, Crocidura shantungensis, and Apodemus agrarius. Additionally, two legally protected species were found through excretion observations. Lutra lutra and Prionailurus bengalensis, which were designated to endangered wild animal classes I and II, respectively. The survey results can be used as a valuable resource for identifying the distribution and habitat status of mammals in the Jindo-gun area, as well as for building a database for ecosystem preservation.

  • In this paper, we develop a nonparametric Bayesian methodology of estimating an unknown distribution function F at the given survival time with current status data under the assumption of Dirichlet process prior on F. We compare our algorithm with the nonparametric maximum likelihood estimator through application to simulated data and real data.

  • A study to identify the energized status of the 22.9kV underground power cable by the detection of vibration was reformed. We derived that there exists vibration at double the line frequency in live cables by electromagnetic force. The vibration can be picked up by accelerometer sensor. A prototype was tested on the underground distribution system in Chonan Station, KEPCO. The results are presented and suggest the applicability of the detecting device.

Reproductive Performance according to Ovarian Status, Postpartum Uterine Treatment, and Calving Season in Estrus Synchronized Dairy Cows

  • A study on estrus synchronized dairy cows using progesterone intravaginal device was done to classify each cow's reproductive status from calving to synchronization and to evaluate the reproductive performance according to ovarian and uterine status, and calving season. From calving to estrus synchronization, silent heat or error of estrus detection among ovarian status and endometritis among uterine disorders were exposed in the most distribution (75.4% and 48.3%, respectively). The pregnancy rate of cows with inactive ovaries was lower than those in the follicular and luteal phase. And according to the uterine status before estrus synchronization, the pregnancy rate was similar in three groups; normal, endometritis, and pyometra (70.9, 69.1 and 100%, respectively). The interval from calving to conception was shorter (p<0.05) in cows calved during autumn than in cows calved during spring and winter.
