  • A decision tree algorithm should be modified to be suitable in distributed and collaborative environments for distributed data mining. The distributed data mining system proposed in this paper consists of several agents and a mediator. Each agent deals with a local data mining for data in each local site and communicates with one another to build the global decision tree model. The mediator helps several agents to efficiently communicate among them. One of advantages in distributed data mining is to save much time to analyze huge data with several agents. The paper focuses on a transfer technique among agents dealing with each local decision tree model to reduce huge overhead in communication among them.

  • As the increasing of users' request about internet web service, the importance of ontology to construct semantic web is increasing now. Early Internet data processing was studied in the form of data integration through centralized ontology construction. However, because of distributed environment of internet, when integrating data of distributed site, it is required to integrate data of each site in terms of peer-to-peer data processing for corresponding to fast change of internet. In this paper, in distributed environment, we propose data processing method which construct ontology in each site with ontology language OWL. Furthermore, through relational representation of OWL, we propose the system containing distributed query processing for data constructed in different site with different method.

  • The requirement of distributed multimedia applications is the need for sophisticated QoS(quality of service) management. In terms of distributed multimedia systems, the most important catagories for quality of service are a timeless, volume, and reliability. In this paper, we discuss a method for increasing reliability through fault tolerance. We describe the desist and implementation of the ERA running on distributed multimedia environment ERA is a system is able to recover automatically a software error based on distributed multimedia. This paper explains a performance analysis of an error recovery system running on distributed multimedia environment using the rule-based DEVS modeling and simulation techniques. In DEVS, a system has a time base, inputs, states, outputs, and functions.

  • By large quantity supply of high efficiency computers, various kind of distributed resource has been extravagant around. Use this distributed resource, if exclude concept of systems by each field, module, operation and administration then we can use it into minimum expense. Hereupon, accommodate some among contents that is proposed through 'Proposal of DVM and DESPL that have apply in distributed environment' and designs and implements SDVM. The user who use SDVM can use into minimum expense without concept of distributed environment.

  • In the age of personal media such as YouTube and Twitch, individual media content creation and consumption have become simpler. A huge amount of media content is created and consumed through platform services. In this regard, interest in copyright of media contents is increasing. In particular, the sound source is an indispensable element in almost all media contents production. In this paper, we propose a method to store the sound source and its signature using blockchain and distributed storage system to verify the copyright of music contents. We Identify the possibility of including the audio signature extraction result of the sound source as blockchain transaction data. Through experiments, we compare the input and output speed when the sound source and its signature are stored in the distributed storage system.

  • Environmental education contents in science textbooks of South Korea and the United States were compared and analyzed in order to find how to develop environmental education in elementary science education. McGraw-Hill science textbooks for third to sixth grade and science textbooks of Korea based on the 2009 Revised National Curriculum and the 2007 Revised National Curriculum were analyzed and compared. The categories were educational goals, kinds of contents, distributions of contents and tense. The result showed that the environmental education goals in science textbook of Korea and United States were biased to knowledge area. The educational contents of the United States was higher 2.5 times then Korea and distributed in all areas. In quantitative distributions in Korea were biased some special areas. Tense of educational contents were almost present. Attitudes and recognition of students varies gradually over a long period of time, the contents of environmental education will be useful "evenly distributed" for all areas and school year.

  • The trend keywords in ICT sector will be Big Data, Internet of Things, and Cloud Computing. The rear end to support those techniques requires a large-capacity storage technology of low-cost. Therefore, we proposed the prototype of low-cost and mass distributed storage system based on PC using open-source Ceph FS for SMB.

  • DCDN(Distributed Contents Delivery Network) as known the next generation of CDN is to exploit the resource of client PCs based on P2P technology to provide low cost, high scalability and high speed services when contents are delivered. This DCDN has two problems. One is that DCDN can't provide a sustainable service because client PCs are on/off irregularly and their on times tend to focus on specific time zone, and the other is that client PCs can not be accessed outside in DCDN if they are behind NAT or Firewall. In this paper, we present a distributed contents delivery network based on home gateway for a sustainable service. If home gateway is used in DCDN instead of client PC, it can solve the two existing problems of DCDN. That is, home gateway can provide a sustainable service because it is on during all day and it is not behind NAT and Firewall. The proposed method is implemented with ASUS WL-500GP, a wired/wireless router. Experimental results show the effectiveness of the proposed method compared to the existing method of DCDN.

  • In this paper, we propose to new dispatcher method, which doesn't depend on an operating system of the server, and the direct routing method, by which a server answers a client's request at first hand. And, propose new web clustering scheme based on the contents on the web where web servers composed of cluster, with each different contents, answer client's request. The other purposes are to reduce overhead of the dispatcher through load balance, and to minimize the time to take in responding to a client's request. The performance of new web cluster scheme was improved by about 39% than that of the existing RR method. It was identified that the performance of the proposed web cluster method was extraordinary improved comparing with that of the existing RR method as a whole.

  • In this paper, we design and implement a distributed, moving objects management system for processing locations and sensor data from smart black boxes. The proposed system is designed and implemented based on Apache Kafka, Apache Spark & Spark Streaming, Hbase, HDFS. Apache Kafka is used to collect the data from smart black boxes and queries from users. Received location data from smart black boxes and queries from users becomes input of Apache Spark Streaming. Apache Spark Streaming preprocesses the input data for indexing. Recent location data and indexes are stored in-memory managed by Apache Spark. Old data and indexes are flushed into HBase later. We perform experiments to show the throughput of the index manager. Finally, we describe the implementation detail in Scala function level.
