Combustion characteristics of dual transverse injection of hydrogen in supersonic air flows were studied using computational methods. Three-dimensional Navier-Stokes with a non-equilibrium chemical reaction model and the k-$\omega$ SST turbulence model were used. A parametric study was conducted with the variation of the distance between two injectors. Combustion characteristics of dual injection are very different from those of single injection. The combustion characteristics of two injection flows are very different from each other, and the ignition and combustion characteristics of the rear injection flow are strongly influenced by those of the front injection flow. The increase of the distance between two injectors up to a specific distance results in the increase of burning rate. However, the increase of the distance over the specific distance gives no increase of burning rate but makes more losses of stagnation pressure. From the results it can be stated that there exists a distance between two injectors for optimum combustion characteristics.

Based on the analyses of the single transverse injection in supersonic flow fields, the mixing characteristics of dual transverse injection of hydrogen in supersonic air flow are studied with computational methods. Three-dimensional Navier -Stokes and the k-$\omega$ SST turbulence model were used. A parametric study is conducted with the variation of the distance between two injectors. The flow patterns and the mixing characteristics of two injection flows are very different from each other, and the flow patterns and the mixing characteristics of the rear injection flow are strongly influenced by those of the first injection flow. The increase of the distance between two injectors up to a specific distance results in the increase of mixing rate and penetration of fuel. However, the increase of the distance over the specific distance results in the decrease of mixing rate and penetration of fuel. From the results it can be stated that there exists a distance between two injectors for optimum mixing characteristics.

Electron is used for the treatment of skin cancer, breast cancer, and head and neck cancer in clinic. Our study is performed to check the isodose distribut ion in source surface distance(SSD) and source bolus distance(SBD) setup, nipple influence to isodose distribution of electron, junctional area isodose variation of photon and electron field. Dosimetry is carried out with phantom, acryl, and film as the same condition of treatment setup. $8\%$ of isodose difference is noted with the surface distance(SSD) and source bolus distance(SBD) setup. To reduce the influence of nipple. corresponding volume of bolus should be removed. And bolus covering all the electron field reduced hot and cold spot of junctional area of photon.
Genomic DNA samples isolated from two geographical crayfish (Cambaroides similis) populations in the inland of the Korean Peninsula, at Jeonju (Jeonju crayfish; JJC) and Jeongup (Jeongup crayfish; JUe), were PCR-amplified repeatedly. The six arbitrarily selected primers OPC-03, OPC-06, OPC-09, URP-02, URP07 and URP-09 generated the common, specific, and polymorphic fragments. The sizes of DNA fragments also varied widely, from 100 bp - 2,600 bp. Here, 521 fragments were identified in the JJC population, and 354 in the JUC population: 6 primers generated 60 specific fragments (60/521 fragment, 11.5%) in the JJC population, and 90 (90/354 fragments, 25.4%) in the JUC population. These primers produced 42 polymorphic fragments (8.1%) in the DC population, and 18 (5.1%) in the mc population. Especially these results demonstrate that the primers detected numerous specific fragments. Especially, the decamer primer OPC-06 generated inter-population-common DNA fragments, approximately 400 and 800 bp, respectively, in both the JJC and JUC populations. The universal primer URP-02 also generated inter-population-identical DNA fragments, approximately 350 bp and 600 bp, between the two geographical crayfish populations. Based on the average bandsharing values of all samples, the bandsharing value of individuals within the JJC population was much higher than in the JUC population. The bandsharing value between individuals no. 10 and no. 15 was 0.683, which was the highest between the two geographical populations. The dendrogram obtained by the six primers indicates two genetic clusters: cluster I (CRAYFISH 01 - CRAYFISH II), and cluster 2 (CRAYFISH 12 - CRAYFISH 22). The genetic distance between the two geographical populations ranged from 0.053 to 0.605. Ultimately, the longest genetic distance displaying significant molecular differences was found to exist between individuals in the two crayfish populations, between individuals CRAYFISH no. 02 of Jeonju and CRAYFTSH no. 15 of Jeongup (genetic distance = 0.605).
This research aims to develop an empirical model for simulation of time-varying frequency in earthquake ground motion so as to be used easily in engineering applications. Briefly, 10545 recordings of the Next Generation Attenuation (NGA) global database of accelerograms from shallow crustal earthquakes are selected and binned by magnitude, distance and site condition. Then the wavelet spectrum of each acceleration record is calculated by using one-dimensional continuous wavelet transform, and the frequencies corresponding to the maximum values of the wavelet spectrum at a series of sampling time, named predominant frequencies, are extracted to analyze the variation of frequency content of seismic ground motions in time. And the time-variation of the predominant frequencies of 178 magnitude-distance-site bins for different directions are obtained by calculating the mean square root of predominant frequencies within a bin. The exponential trigonometric function is then use to fit the data, which describes the predominant frequency of ground-motion as a function of time with model parameters given in tables for different magnitude, distance, site conditions and direction. Finally, a practical frequency-dependent amplitude envelope function is developed based on the time-varying frequency derived in this paper, which has clear statistical parameters and can emphasize the effect of low-frequency components on later seismic action. The results illustrate that the time-varying predominant frequency can preferably reflect the non-stationarity of the frequency content in earthquake ground motions and that empirical models given in this paper facilitates the simulation of ground motions.

In this paper, the effects of the position and the angle of the potential probes on the measurements of the ground resistance with the fall-of-potential method are described and the testing techniques to minimize the measuring errors are proposed. The fall-of-potential method is theoretically based on the potential and current measuring principle and the measuring error is primarily caused by the position and angle of auxiliary probes. In order to analyze the relative error for measuring value of ground resistance due to the position of the potential probe, ground resistance were measured in case that the distance of current probe was fixed at 50[m] and the distance of potential probe was located from l0[m] to 50[m]. Also, the potential probe was located at 30[$^{\circ}$], 45[$^{\circ}$], 60[$^{\circ}$], 90[$^{\circ}$] and 180[$^{\circ}$]. As a consequence, relative error decreased with increasing the distance of potential probe and decreasing the angle between current probe and potential probe. The results could be help to determine the position of potential probe when the ground resistance was measured at grounding system.
Random Amplified Polymorphic DNA (RAPD) analysis was used to investigate the genetic variations of Coreoleuciscus splendidus within and among the West Korea Subdistrict populations (in Han and Geum Rivers) and the South Korea Subdistrict populations (in Seomjin and Nakdong Rivers). Twelve random primers were employed to generate RAPD markers. All primers were produced to identify specific RAPD markers between the West and South Korea Subdistrict populations. Analyses of genetic similarity and distance among the West and South Korea Subdistrict populations of C. splendidus also revealed similar results, with low genetic similarity (0.49~0.53) and high distance value (0.63~0.71). UPGMA dendrogram based on genetic distance was also similar in results. Therefore, the West Korea Subdistrict populations and the South Korea Subdistrict populations vary in genetic structure, and C. splendidus in the South Korea Subdistrict may represent a different species.

Optical power optimization of 10 Gbps 40 wavelength division multiplexing channels was analyzed at the 3000 km long-haul transmission distance when the link span distance was changed between 40 km and 140 km. The signal performance of the transmission was obtained as a Q value and it was compared when input power into SSMF and input power into DCF on the transmission link were changed. The optimized input power into SSMF increased linearly to link span distance with 1 dB/km. The optimized power into DCF increased linearly with 0.5 dB/km up to 100 km link span, but it had no variation at longer link span than 100 km.
Wind load acting on a standalone structure is different from that acting on a similar structure which is surrounded by other structures in close proximity. The presence of other structures in the surrounding can change the wind flow regime around the principal structure and thus causing variation in wind loads compared to a standalone case. This variation on wind loads termed as interference effect depends on several factors like terrain category, geometry of the structure, orientation, wind incident angle, interfering distances etc., In the present study, a three building configuration is considered and the mean pressure coefficients on each face of principle building are determined in presence of two interfering buildings. Generally, wind loads on interfering buildings are determined from wind tunnel experiments. Computational fluid dynamic studies are being increasingly used to determine the wind loads recently. Whereas, wind tunnel tests are very expensive, the CFD simulation requires high computational cost and time. In this scenario, Artificial Neural Network (ANN) technique and Support Vector Regression (SVR) can be explored as alternative tools to study wind loads on structures. The present study uses these data-driven approaches to predict mean pressure coefficients on each face of principle building. Three typical arrangements of three building configuration viz. L shape, V shape and mirror of L shape arrangement are considered with varying interfering distances and wind incidence angles. Mean pressure coefficients (Cp mean) are predicted for 45 degrees wind incidence angle through ANN and SVR. Further, the critical faces of principal building, critical interfering distances and building arrangement which are more prone to wind loads are identified through this study. Among three types of building arrangements considered, a maximum of 3.9 times reduction in Cp mean values are noticed under Case B (V shape) building arrangement with 2.5B interfering distance. Effect of interfering distance and building arrangement on suction pressure on building faces has also been studied. Accordingly, Case C (mirror of L shape) building arrangement at a wind angle of 45º shows less suction pressure. Through this study, it was also observed that the increase of interfering distance may increase the suction pressure for all the cases of building configurations considered.
When deformation occurs on slope reinforced with anchor, shear stress and bending stress are applied on the shear surface along the slip surface and increase of the shear deformation causes the tension force variation of the anchor. In this study, shear test was performed by measuring the tension force of the anchor by inducing shear deformation in vertical direction of the anchor using a large-scale direct shear test equipment in order to confirm the tension force variation of the anchor induced by shear deformation. The shear test was performed for 8 conditions which were classified according to the anchor reinforcement, separation distance (1D, 2D, 4D) from the shear surface to bonded part and the lateral-pressure condition (0.1 MPa, 0.2 MPa) of adjacent ground. As a result of the shear test, it was found that the separation distance and the lateral-pressure condition affect the shear force of the ground reinforced by anchor and the tension force of the anchor, and experimentally verified that the shear force variation is related to axial force variation of the anchor head and tip. Therefore, it was confirmed that the behavior of the bonded part induced by the shear deformation can be indirectly predicted by analyzing the tendency of the tension force variation of the anchor head.
