AMBA기반의 LCD 컨트롤러 설계 (AMBA-based LCD controller design and implementation)

  • 본 논문에서는 AMBA기반의 LCD 컨트롤러를 설계하였다. 일반적으로 LCD를 사용한 디스플레이 시스템은 고속의 데이터 액세스를 위하여 독자적인 버스 구조를 채택하고 있다. 제안한 컨트롤러는 AMBA의 데이터 포맷을 준수하며, 내부에 이미지 보간을 위한 이미지 스케일러를 내장하고 있다. 이미지 보간에는 수평방향으로 FOI(First Order Interpolation) 보간 알고리즘을 이용하고 수직 방향으로 H-형 PMED(H-Shape Pseudomedian)필터를 이용하였다. 본 컨트롤러의 모든 회로는 VHDL을 이용하여 설계하고, Xilinx FPGA를 이용하여 테스트 보드를 만들어 구현하여 LCD 패널에 직접 데이터를 출력함으로써 검증하였다.

반도체 장비의 원격 모니터링을 위한 임베디드 웹 서버 (An Embedded Web Server for Remote Monitoring the Semiconductor Equipment)

  • A remote monitoring system of the semiconductor equipment is used to monitor or control operations of the equipment. Most of the conventional monitoring systems are based on the client-server model with the general purpose PC. Basically, it implies the difficulties in the system reliability and cost down due to its size and complexity. To overcome these difficulties, we suggest an embedded web server which is based on the low-cost microprocessor. It is designed for the monitoring or controlling a dedicated equipment only. To evaluate the feasibility of the suggested embedded web server, we have implemented a test-board with ATMega103 and programmed the basic modules using the AVR-GCC. Finally, we have tested its operations on the MS Explorer 6.0 environment.

  • MMI (Man Machine Interface) is the system that monitors the operating condition of the ATP/ATC/ATS systems and receives defined information from ATP/ATC/ATS systems through the interface with On-board systems. Based on the data from the ATP/ATC/ATS system, MMI can display the information and status of the train to secure safe operation. It is possible for the display mode and quantities of MMI to be improved by the customer's demand, and it can be designed as the same structure of existing devices for the driver. The ERTMS is Regular Safety Standards of high-speed railroad. It is fundamental structure of European Rail Control System which train control, safety and operate facilities. In this paper, I study requirements of ERTMS form which design function each section of MMI and application at ATP/ATC/ATS combined Train Constrol System.

  • Plasma Display Panel(PDP) has been recognized as one of the most competitive display panel. Hence, the importance of PDP driving circuit is getting higher and higher. At the same time, it is strongly required for the driving circuit to be high efficiency, high stability, and cost effective one. In this work, a stable PDP driving circuit is developed by improving the circuit configuration. And the reliability and the productivity of the driving circuit are improved by using the Intelligent Power Module(IPM) technology. Finally operating characteristics of the developed IPM driving circuit are verified by using signal source board developed.

  • This paper describes implementation contents contents of manual/automatic complex redundancy control mothod for control of a modulation system of a Paging earth station in redundancy stracture. The existed redundancy control method usually is a automatic local control method in which the redundancy switching, including display or alarm beeping through operation of display devices or audio devices, is performed by the co-action of components or modules when the abnormal status is occurred in a modulation system. However, this method introduced in here is designed to enable use of three control modes;1) Manual mode by an operator, 2) Auto-remote mode by the Network Maagement System, through implementation of the redundancy control system composed of the redundancy control board and the redundancy switching circuit.

  • The tape carrier package(TCD) is one of the most important components in a liquid crystal display(LCD) module. It has a role to transmit electrical signals from a printed circular board(PCB) to a display panel. If TCP is damaged under mechanical shock, the signals can not be transmitted to the panel and as a result, some dead lines are generated on the panel. This kind of phenomenon is commonly called as 'line defects'. In this paper, new structural design concepts of TCP are proposed to guarantee its reliability by using Taguchi's approach and dynamic FE-analysis. The line defects problem of TCP module is solved by replacing the original TCP with the newly designed one.

  • A new driving waveform was proposed to reduce the cost in PDP-TV based on Vt close curve by eliminating the common (X) board under the conventional 42-inch panel structure. Due to the serious misfiring problem during a sustain-period when applying the new driving waveform, the wall voltage was measured and analyzed after the reset-period using Vt close curve. As a result of adopting the proposed driving waveform designed using Vt close curve analysis, the cost of PDP module could reduce compared with the conventional PDP module without any misfiring discharge.

리페어 FPC 본더 개발 (Development of Repair FPC Bonder)

  • This article contains the development of FPC bonder that used for repair or trial product. Nowadays, in FPO module process (including PDP) accept the thermo-compress bonding method when attach FPC(Flexible Printed Circuit Board), TCP(Tape Carrier Package) and COF(Chip on the FPC) by ACF(Anisotropic Conductive Film). This system consists of ACF attachment part, pre-bonding part, main bonding part, loading / unloading part. This composition is a stand-alone system, not an in-line system. Hereafter, this composition should be developing into in-line system in all area of FPD industry.

  • This study was developed through the secondary battery module charging/discharger possible utilization in the production process equipment circuit. The developed module is ensuring construction of efficient and productive charging and discharger through this research a limit on the yield and the price of existing single -channel charge and discharger circuit as a 5V 70A grade secondary battery Formation charge and discharger for up to 1 board 4 channels. In order to improve the sensing accuracy, through a robust differential amplifier circuit described using 16bit Analog-Digital Converter and noise was secured 16bit resolution sensing. The configuration also made demands for property Rise / Fall Time. Data Acquisition, discharge efficiency and also to fit the sink circuit temperature level for mass production.

세라믹 패키지를 이용한 shunt 저항의 온도 특성 개선 (Improvement of Temperature Characteristics in Ceramic-packaged Shunt Resistors)

  • Electric power in large devices is controlled by digital circuits, such as switching mode power supply. This kind of power circuits require accurate current sensor for power distribution. We studied characteristics of shunt resistor, which has many advantages for commercial application compared to Hall-effect current sensor. We applied ceramic package to the shunt resistor. Ceramic package has good thermal conductivity compared to plastic package, and this point is important for space requirement in Printed Circuit Board (PCB). Another advantage of the ceramic package is that surface mount technology (SMT) can be used for production. Our experimental results showed that the ceramic packaged resistor showed about 50% lower temperature than the plastic packaged one. Burning point and frequency characteristics are also discussed.
