미세 작업을 위한 마이크로-나노 로봇개발 (The Development of High Precision Manipulator and Micro Gripper)

  • In this paper, a robotic system which consists of a precision manipulator and a micro gripper for a micro system assembly is presented. By the experiment, we proved that the developed the system gives acceptable performance when minute operations. Developed the micro-nano robot is actuated by newly proposed modular revolute and prismatic actuators. As an end-effector of this system, micro gripper is designed and fabricated with MEMS technology and the displacement of jaw is up to 142.8 micro meter. We think that new robot system will be appropriate for micro system assembly tasks and life science application.

전해 도금된 마이크로 금 구조물의 기계적 특성 측정 (Measurements of the Mechanical Properties of Electroplated Gold Microstructure)

  • Mechanical properties of electroplated gold microstructures were determined from the micromachined beam structures. Cantilever and bridge beam structures of different length were fabricated by electroplating-surface micromachining technique, which is specially designed to realize an anchor structure close to an ideal fixed-boundary condition. Fabricated beams were electrostatically excited and their resonance frequencies were measured by optical system composed of laser displacement meter with dynamic signal analyzer. Young's modulus and mean residual stress were calculated from the measured frequencies of microbeams. In addtion, stress gradient was measured using deformation of released cantilever beam structure.

  • A laser interferometer is the unique measurement device that can measure the range up to a few meters with sub-nano resolution and this characteristic makes it as the important sensing device for the emerging nano-mechatronics technologies. The laser interferometer, however, is very sensitive to the environments such as temperature, humidity, sound noises, vibrations and air turbulences and these factors result in a few hundred nano meter errors. There have been many efforts to reduce these environmental errors. The output of the laser interferometer is assumed to be the sum of a real displacement and a Markov process noise. The purpose of this paper is to develop Kalman filter algorithms to reduce the laser interferometer measurement errors by exploiting the information of displacements in position-servo systems.

양산단층 북부 유리계 일대의 신기 단층운동 소고 (Discussion on the Quaternary fault movement at Yugye-ri area in the northern part of Yangsan Fault)

  • Yangsan fault in the southeastern part of Korean peninsula has been locally reactivated along a prexisted fault during the late Pleistocene time. Geomorphological evidence of the reactivation is revealed at the northern segment(Yugye-ri, Tosung-ri areas) of the Yangsan fault. The reactivation is distinctively characterized by fault gouge and fracture zone with high frequency in the Yugye-ri area. Obique slip separation of the area is about three meters of the middle terrace. The cumulative vertical displacement is recognized after the formation of the middle terrace. Age of the reactivated faulting is constrained to during the formation of dissected valley deposits. Average vertical slip based on paleo-event is inferred to about 0.5-0.7 meter in this area.

  • This paper introduces a real time inspecting and monitoring system by using wireless communication and image processing technique. The communication system is developed by using 80c196kc microprocessor and it has data acquisition function for several kinds of sensors such as pluviometer, temperature, tension meter, elinometer and so on. The image processing method adopts Lalacian of Gaussian operator and least square method to extract line features for the captured images and uses a relaxation matching algorithm based in global structure constraint satisfaction to distinguish the matching error for those features.   • This study was experimentally analyzed to improve the performance and to reduce exhaust emissions in a turbochaged D.I. diesel engine of the displacement 9.4L. In generally, the system of intake port, fuel injection and turbocharger are very important factors which have influence on the engine performance and exhaust emission because the properties in the injected fuel depend on the combustion characteristics. The optimum results which is tested as available factors fur better performance and emission are as follows; the swirl ratio is 2.43, compression ratio is 16, combustion bowl is $5^{\circ}$ re-entrant type, nozzle hole diameter is ${\phi}0.28*6$, injection timing is BTDC $13^{\circ}CA$ and turbocharger is GT40 model which are selected compressor A/R 0.58 and turbine A/R 1.19.

전압변성기 비교기를 이용한 커패시터와 인덕터의 절대 평가 (Absolute Evaluation of Capacitor and Inductor Using Voltage Transformer Comparator)

  • We have developed the absolute evaluation technique of capacitor and inductor by measuring the phase displacement as a function of resistance of employed resistors in voltage transformer(VT) comparator. The methods were applied to the capacitor with the range of 100 nF - $5{\mu}F$ and the inductor with the range of $100{\mu}H{\sim}1\;H$. The capacitance values of capacitor obtained using our method are consistent within the expanded uncertainty those obtained using capacitor bridge. The inductance values of inductor obtained using our method are also consistent within the expanded uncertainty those obtained using LCR meter.

  • Strip bending test has been frequently utilized to measure the mechanical properties of freestanding thin films in substitute for the micro-tensile test. However, in spite of its simplicity and reliability, strip bending test has a few problems, for example, the measurement of strain and the calculation of stress at zero strain. In this study, these problems are precisely reviewed and proved. Upon this review, strip bending tester has been developed, which uses the confocal laser displacement meter to measure the deformed configuration of the specimen and the possibility and limitation of this testing system is carefully investigated including the estimation of uncertainty of the measurement of strain. Finally, to prevent errors and to improve the accuracy of this testing system, the shape of the specimen has been carefully studied and is proposed.

  • The purpose of this study was to measure the free flow of the unpolymerized resin by its weight for 10 minutes by one minute interval, and to measure the dimensional change of composite resins during the irradiation of visible light(Quich light VL-l Kuraray Japan) using visible leser displacement meter(LC-2210 Kerence Japan). The unpolymerized resin was cured by the visible light for 40 seconds, the dimensional change was measured at the begining of irradiation for 5 minutes. The results were as follows : 1. In free flow LFI was the largest, BLI was the smallest at $23^{\circ}C$ and CFP was the largest, and BL was the smallest at $37^{\circ}C$. 2. In dimensional change CFI, LFP, LEI and CFP was excessively contracted flow the begining of irradiation until 15 seconds but BLI and BL was excessively contracted until 30 seconds BL and BLI in dimensional change was much larger than LFI and CFP.

  • This paper presents the novel fabrication of an electromagnetic micro actuator with a corrugated diaphragm and a flat one. The actuator consists of a Parylene diaphragm with a spiral copper coil and a permanent magnet. The cower coil is fabricated by electroplating and patterning. As the further works, the frequency response of the actuator are obtained by using a laser vibrometer and the static deflection of the actuator diaphragm are measure by using laser displacement meter. The corrugated diaphragm is expected to be better than the flat one with respect to the actuator performance.
