고속분사를 이용한 소형 축열식 복사관 버너시스템의 성능평가 (Performance Estimation of Small Regenerative Radiant Tube Burner System using High Velocity Discharge)

  • An Experimental study was conducted on spray combustion using dual swirlers at different outlet angle; co-swirl and counter-swirl. To understand the characteristics of turbulent spray combustion of dual swirl flow (DSF), the axial helical annular vaned swirlers with various swirl ratios and combination of angle and direction were designed. and temperature measurements of a rapidly thermocouple insertion and measurements of soot volume fraction and microrstructure using thermophoretic sampling particle diagnostic (TSPD) as TEM were carried out. The NOx, $CO_2$, $O_2$, etc. was analyzed using emission gas analyzer. The results show that flame stability were maintained under very lean condition. for both co-swirl and counter-swirl case. And though Counter-swirl case kept the higher temperature region compared to co-swirl case, Counter-swirl combustion represented less NOx emission and soot formation than co-swirl case.

  • In South Korea, flooding is controlled with large or small reservoirs scattered spatially over the territory. Because recent unexpected hard-rain events requires more flood control capacities, the pre-release system is considered with the most economical alternative. In this case time and volume of discharge should be determined by the simulation. But, existing pre-release simulation system has the problem of specificity. Therefore, GASS is considered to estimate the pre-release time and volume with different configurations of pre-release system. This paper shows that pre-release simulation system could be constructed with arranging GASAtmosphere, GASWatershed, Reservoir, Gate components using GASS. It is also shows that GASS could be used as a foundation for constructing pre-release simulation system that is easy to use and is flexible to reflect the changing configurations of reservoir systems.

생활쓰레기 문제에 대한 소도시 시민의 의식조사 (Consciousness of Citizens for the Issue of the MSW(Municipal Solid Waste))

  • This study was carried out to investigate and analyze the citizen's attitude for the issue of the municipal solid wastes in Miryang city. The waste generation rate was decreased by 56% compared with 1991, and 71.8% of generated wastes were treated by landfill method. 61.6% among respondents were contacted waste problem by TV and the majority of respondents felt seriousness of food-waste problem. The majority of people felt that waste discharge decreased after "volume-base charge system" and 71% of total respondents were burdened down with use of volume-base charge envelope. The greater part of citizens answered that they experienced damage due to wastes and satisfied with the collection system but they recognized the necessity of the establishment of collection system and increase of cleaners must be nessary.

수충격 완화용 공기 챔버의 설계 및 성능 예측에 관한 연구 (Design and Performance Prediction of an Air Chamber for Reduction of Water Hammering)

  • A computer program was developed for the prediction of transient flow in a water supply system. where an air chamber is installed to reduce the water hammering. The governing equations based on a characteristic method are solved using a finite difference method. A design process of an air chamber is shown in the present paper considering the effects of the initial air volume and the discharge coefficients of the orifice on the total volume and over-all performance of the chamber.

이온풍 공랭 방식 적용을 위한 방송용 LED 조명장치의 냉각 특성 해석 (Analysis of Cooling Characteristics of Broadcasting LED Light with Ion Wind Generator)

  • In the present work, numerical analyses of broadcasting LED light with ion wind generator have been carried out for enhancement of cooling performance. Ion wind generator is produced and experimented before analysis. With the use of result of experiments, broadcasting LED light model is computed. Ion wind velocity into LED light is varied with 0~3 m/s. Based on the numerical results, the area of duct-type ion wind generator was designed to reduce the volume flow rate of ion wind. The modified inlet geometry shows sufficient cooling capability. And, through modified ion wind generator, the volume flow rate of ion wind has been largely reduced.

Efficient recycling strategies for slurry TBM excavated soil

  • In downtown subway project most of excavated soil is discarded externally, whereas in road construction excavated soil is used as filling material and management of surplus soil becomes important factor for success of the project. Excavated materials from slurry shield TBM are discharged through discharge pipe to slurry treatment plant and excavated soil mixed with bentonite are separated in separation plant by grain size. Fine material has been discarded together in filter cake without recycling. Its volume can vary according to geologic condition but statistically fine material as filter cake is about 5%~30% out of overall excavated volume. However, filter cake is non-toxic and can be recycled when mixed in the appropriate proportions with coarse aggregate. Therefore, in this study, utilization of excavated soil from a slurry shield TBM were examined and lab tests were conducted to find the proper way for mixing filter cake and aggregate to be recycled as fill material for road construction.

자동차용 에어컨 압축기의 성능 향상에 대한 연구 (Study of Compressor-Performance Improvement in Automotive Air-Conditioning System)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 자동차용 에어컨 시스템의 연비 개선을 위하여 압축기의 성능 향상을 도모하고자 하는데 있다. 압축기 성능은 자동차용 에어컨 압축기 전용 열량계를 이용하여 평가를 수행하였다. 압축기의 성능을 향상시키기 위하여 흡입 유량의 증대와 토출 사체적 축소를 검토하였으며, 각 개선 항목에 대한 평가를 진행하여 성능과 COP 의 개선을 확인하였다. 흡입 유량을 증대했을 경우 저속 구간보다 고속구간에서의 성능 효과가 컸으며, 토출 사체적을 축소했을 경우 상대적으로 저속 구간의 성능 개선효과가 컸다. 조합품의 경우 저속과 고속에서 전반적으로 균형 있게 개선되었으며, 토출측 온도가 가장 크게 개선되었다. 성능의 경우 저속에서 약 3.2%, 고속에서 약 8.3% 개선되었으며, COP 는 저속에서 약 5.8%, 고속에서 약 6.2% 개선되었고, 토출 온도는 저속에서 $3^{\circ}C$, 고속에서 $5^{\circ}C$ 개선되었다.

분포형 수문모형을 이용한 산림소유역의 홍수수문곡선의 추정 (Estimation of Storm Hydrographs in a Small Forest Watershed Using a Distributed Hydrological Model)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 분포형 수문모형인 TOPMODEL을 이용하여 산림유역의 홍수수문곡선을 추정하는 것이다. 이를 위하여 유역면적 58.3ha의 명성유역을 선정하였으며, 대상유역에 대하여 강우량과 유출량을 측정하였다. Monte Carlo기법을 이용하여 강우사상별로 최적의 매개 변수 조합을 구하고, 매개변수별 모의기간에 대한 평균값을 적용하여 매개변수를 결정하였다. 1997년에 측정된 6개의 강우-유출량 자료를 이용하여 매개변수 보정을 실시하였으며, $1998\sim1999$년에 측정된 8개의 강우-유출량 자료를 이용하여 모형의 검증을 실시하였다. 보정기간에 대한 유출량 추정 오차는 $-2.74\sim1.81%$의 범위를 보였으며, 모형 효율(E)은 평균 0.92이었다. 6개의 강우사상에 대하여 실측된 평균 첨두유량은 $0.324m^3\;s^{-1}$이었으며, 이에 대한 추정치는 $0.295m^3\;s^{-1}$로 모의되었다. 강우 사상별 첨두유량의 오차범위는 $-27.65\sim-1.13%$로 나타났으며, 이는 강우특성 및 선행강우조건에 영향을 받은 것으로 판단된다. 검증기간에 대하여 각 강우사상별 모형효율(E)의 평균값은 0.92로 나타났다. 첨두유량의 실측값은 평균적으로 $0.087m^3\;s^{-1}$이었으며, 추정된 첨두유량의 평균은 $0.090m^3\;s^{-1}$로 나타났다. 첨두시간은 보정기간에 대하여는 관측값과 모의값의 평균이 각각 18.3 hrs와 11.0 hrs이었으며, 검증기간에 대하여는 각각 16.6hrs와 13.5 hrs이었다.

  • We have developed Magnetic Pulse Compression System to realize repetitive excimer laser excitation. The principle of this system is to use the large change in permiability owing to the nolinear characteristics of ferro-magnetic material (Metglas2605s-2 metal ribon). Prior to the laser operation, the MPC system was tested with a dummy load (5$\Omega$) and laser head. Laser head has a discharge volume of 1.0 (w) x 2.0 (h) x 20.0(1) cm. This MPC system compressed a 6.2us (FWHM), 80 A pulse into a 0.4us(FWHM), 1.3kA pulse.

Cavitation Characteristics of a Pump-turbine Model by CFD Analysis

  • The pumped storage plant operates with quick change of the discharge as well as quick changes between pump mode and turbine mode. This study focuses on the cavitation analysis of a pump-turbine model because in turbo-machinery, cavitation can reduce the performance and shorten service life. The pump-turbine model system consists of 7 blades, 20 stay vanes (including tongue) and 20 guide vanes. This study adopts the Rayleigh-Plesset model as a cavitation model, which illustrates cavitation by using the air volume fraction method. The pump mode and turbine mode at the operating condition of partial loading, normal and excessive loading are analyzed to investigate the cavitation performance of the pump-turbine. It was observed that this pump-turbine design showed very good cavitation characteristics with no cavitation bubbles in all operating conditions. Overall value of air volume fraction of both mode at different operating condition are lower than 1, which confirms low possibility of cavitation occurrence at current situation.
