Effects of Parent-Child Interaction Therapy on Parenting Skill and Children's Problem Behaviors: Meta-Analysis (부모-아동 상호작용치료가 양육기술과 아동의 문제행동에 미치는 영향: 메타분석)

  • Objective : The purpose of this study is to examine the effects of parent - child interaction therapy on parenting skills and children's problem behaviors by meta - analysis and to provide a basis for intervention methods. Methods : This study was conducted from January 2007 to March 2018 and the study was conducted using the parent-child interaction program for children with disabilities. PubMed and CINAHL, EBSCOhost, Science Direct were used to search for studies, and reference searching was also conducted as a secondary search option. A total of 7 studies was selected to meet the selection criteria, and the final 7 studies were assessed by using the Jadad scale. Statistical tests were performed using the R-meta-analysis program. Results : The effect size of parenting skill was large and the size of the effect of parenting stress was moderate. The children's problem behaviors also showed moderate effect sizes and all p-values were statistically significant (p < .0001). Conclusion : This study examined the effects of parent-child interaction therapy on parenting skills, parenting stress, and children's problem behaviors. Future research is needed to establish the basis for intervention for family involvement in pediatric occupational therapy.

A path analysis of factors influencing eating problem among young female adults (성인초기여성의 섭식장애에 영향을 미치는 요인에 관한 경로 분석)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to analyze factors influencing eating problems among young female adults. Methods: Participants were 193 young female adults aged 19 ~ 29 years who were recruited in August 2017. Four variables related to eating problems in young female adults, including body image dissatisfaction, self-esteem, trait anger, and depression, were measured using reliable instruments. Data were analyzed using the SPSS/WIN 21.0 program and Amos 24.0 for descriptive statistics, Pearson correlation coefficients, and path analysis. Results: The mean for eating problems in young female adults was 8.99, and 9.8% of subjects were classified as high risk with eating problems. Modified model demonstrated good model fit (${\chi}^2$/df 0.47, GFI 0.99, AGFI 0.99, NFI 0.99, SRMR 0.022, RMSEA 0.001). Path analysis showed that body image dissatisfaction had the greatest direct effect on eating problems. Depression did not have a direct effect on eating problems, whereas it had indirect effects on eating problems through body image dissatisfaction as the mediating factor. Self-esteem had direct effects on depression and indirect effects on eating problems through depression and body image dissatisfaction as mediating factors. Trait anger had direct effects on depression and body image dissatisfaction and indirect effects on eating problems through depression and body image dissatisfaction as mediating factors. These factors accounted for 46% of the total variance, and the fit indices of the model satisfied the criteria of fitness. Conclusion: The results of this study reveal the important role of body dissatisfaction and psychological factors such as self-esteem, trait anger, and depression on eating problems. These factors influencing eating problems should be considered when developing programs to improve eating problems in young female adults.

  • An overview of our approach to autonomous navigation is presented showing how motion information can be integrated into existing navigation schemes. Particular attention is given to our short range motion estimation scheme which utilises a number of unique assumptions regarding the nature of the visual environment allowing a direct fusion of visual and range information. Graduated non-convexity is used to solve the resulting non-convex minimisation problem. Experimental results show the advantages of our fusion technique.

  • In this paper, the stability problem for singular bilinear system is investigated. We present state feedback control laws for two classes of singular bilinear plants. Asymptotic stability of the closed-loop systems is derived by employing singular Lyapunov's direct method. The primary advantage of our approach lies in its simplicity. In order to verify effectiveness of the results, two numerical examples are given.

  • It is difficult to establish a mathematical furnace model and automatic-fumace control because of the difficulty in direct measurement of the inner condition of a blast furnace. To solve this problem, we has developed and actually operated a blast furnace operation control system using artificial intelligence tool to be applied to the blast furnace process computer system. Since this system has a function of automatic Treat level control, higher practicality has been proved than the previous guidance-level expert system. This paper introduces an outline of the system and the result of application.

  • This paper describes the experimental results on direct selective laser sintering of WC-Co mixture. The experiments were carried out within an air, argon and nitrogen atmosphere. The main problem occurred during sintering within an air atmosphere was oxidation of WC-Co mixture. As the power of laser is increased and scanning speed is decreased, more severe oxidation takes place. Within an argon and nitrogen atmosphere the oxidation is reduced significantly. As the energy density is increased the thickness of the sintered layer is increased.

  • The inverse heat conduction problems is the calculation of surface heat transfer coefficients by utilizing measured temperature. The numerical technique of finite element analysis and optimizition is introduced to calculate temperatures and heat transfer coefficients. The calculated heat transfer coefficients and temperature distribution are good agreement with the results of direct analysis. The inverse method has been applied to the control valve of nuclear power plant.

  • We present a domain decomposition algorithm for solving large sparse linear systems of equations arising from queuing networks. Such techniques are attractive since the problems in subdomains can be solved independently by parallel processors. Many of the methods proposed so far use some form of the preconditioned conjugate gradient method to deal with one large interface problem between subdomains. However, in this paper, we propose a "nested" domain decomposition method where the subsystems governing the interfaces are small enough so that they are easily solvable by direct methods on machines with many parallel processors. Convergence of the algorithms is also shown.lso shown.

  • This paper is devoted to investigate the multiple solutions for a class of the cooperative elliptic system involving subcritical Sobolev exponents on the bounded domain with smooth boundary. We first show the uniqueness and the negativity of the solution for the linear system of the problem via the direct calculation. We next use the variational method and the mountain pass theorem in the critical point theory.

This improves a result of the author proved in the Proceedings of the American Math. Society (2002) and also completely solves by an another method a long-standing problem of W. May posed in the same Proceedings (1979).
