Satellite-Digital Multimedia Broadcasting 단말기용 헤리컬 안테나 설계 (Design of Quadrifilar Helical Antenna for the Satellite-Digital Multimedia Broadcasting Terminal)

  • 위성-DMB 영상신호를 수신하는 헤리컬 안테나를 설계하였다. 위성-DMB용 헤리컬 안테나의 위상이 0, 90, 180, 270도 급전 되도록 4중실선(Quadrifilar) 형태로 설계함으로서 원형 편파의 특성을 나타내었으며 QHA 안테나의 상단 갭 간격, 턴 수 및 높이를 가변시켜 최적화시켰다. 최종 설계치는 갭 a=2.2mm, Helix 턴 수 b=0.9 턴 및 길이 c=42mm 이고 입력반사 계수는 주파수 2.62GHz에서 약 -5.8dB 정도이며, 상반평면 방사특성과 0.508dB의 축비특성을 나타내었다. 설계된 이중대역 QHA는 위성-DMB 수신 안테나에 적용되고 있다.

  • 범용 신경망 연산기를 디지털 회로로 구현함에 있어 가장 까다로운 문제들 중 하나는 시냅스의 확장과 해당 네트워크에 맞게 뉴런들을 재배치하는 재구성 문제일 것이다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 문제들을 해결하기 위한 새로운 하드웨어 구조를 제안한다. 제안된 구조는 시냅스의 확장과 네트워크 구조의 변경을 위해 오리지날 디자인의 변경이 필요치 않으며, 모듈러 프로세싱 유니트의 확장을 통한 뉴런의 개수 및 레이어의 확장이 가능하다. 이 구조의 범용성 및 확장성에 대한 검증을 위해 다양한 종류의 다층 퍼셉트론 및 코호넨 네트워크를 구성하여 HDL 시뮬레이터를 통한 결과와 C 언어로 작성된 소프트웨어 시뮬레이터 결과를 비교하였으며 그 결과 성능이 거의 일치함을 확인하였다.

간접 힘 측정 방법과 가상 역행렬을 이용한 힘 예측 (Forces Prediction by Indirect Force Measurement and Pseudo-inverse Technique)

  • In the design of structure, the forces acting on tai structure are key parameter fur noise and vibration control. However, in the complex structure, the forces at the injection point on the structure cannot be measured directly. So, it is necessary to find out Indirect force evaluation method. In this paper, forces have been measured with In-situ vibration responses and system information. And, three existing techniques of indirect force measurement, vita. direct inverse. principal component analysis and regularization have been compared. This paper shows that multi-vibration responses are essential for talc precise estimation of the forces. To check these conditions, rotary compressor is adopted as test sample, because it is very difficult to measure the injection forces from internal excitation to shell. It alas also been obtained that relatively higher force is transmitted through three welding paths to the compressor shell. It shows a good agreement between direct and indirect force evaluation with curvature shell and plate.

  • 본 논문에서는 RF 송수신 시스템 칩 내부의 저잡음증폭기(LNA)와 전체 송수신기 시스템 테스트에 효과적인 새로운 루프백(Loopback) BIST 구조를 제안한다. 제안하는 테스트기법은 외부 테스트장비(Automatic Test Equipment)를 사용하는 기존의 테스트기법과 달리 테스트 모드에서 칩에 내장된 베이스밴드 프로세서를 테스터로 사용하므로써 테스트인가와 테스트평가등을 효율적으로 수행할 수 있는 장점을 갖는다. 높은 주파수의 테스트 출력신호는 낮은 주파수로 변환하여 베이스밴드 프로세서에서 평가하게 됨으로써 테스트용이도가 향상될 수 있다. 제안하는 테스트기법은 ATE와 같은 외부테스트장비의 필요를 최소화하고 테스트 시간과 비용을 줄여 결과적으로 칩 제조비용의 절감을 가능하게 해준다.

  • 이 논문에서 OFDM(Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing) 시스템의 주파수 옵셋 동기화 블록의 효율적인 구조를 제안한다. 기존의 CORDIC(Coordinate Rotation Digital Computer)을 이용한 주파수 옵셋 동기화 블록들은 위상 추정을 위하여 CORDIC Vector 모드를 사용하고, 보상을 위하여 CORDIC Rotation 모드를 사용하고 있다. 이와 비교하여 제안구조는 Vector 모드만을 사용하고 Relation모드는 Divider로 대치하는 알고리즘이다. 제안된 방식을 사용함으로써 Rotation 모드를 사용해야 했던 기존의 방식보다 하드웨어 구현복잡도가 감소함을 구현을 통하여 검증하였다. 검증 Tool로 Design Compiler를 사용하였고 각 비교 구조마다 동일한 Constraint를 적용하여 검증을 진행하였다. 제안구조에 대한 Front-End 칩 구현을 통하여 기존 구조에 비하여 22.1%의 gate count 감소를 보임으로써 저전력 통신용 칩에서 사용할 수 있음을 보였다.

공공플랫폼 구축사업의 거버넌스: 경기도 배달플랫폼 '배달특급'의 사례를 중심으로 (Governance of A Public Platform Project in the Context of Digital Transformation Focusing on the 'Special Delivery')

  • Recently, government agencies are actively adopting the platform model as a means of public policy. However, existing studies on the public platform are minimal and have focused on user experiences or the possibility of public usage of the platform model. Now the research concerning building governance structure and utilizing network effects of the platform after adopting the platform model in the public sector is keenly required. This study intended to ignite academic dialogue on the governance of public platforms in the context of digital transformation. This study focused on a case of the 'Special delivery,' a public delivery app established by Gyeonggi-do. In order to analyze the characteristics of the public platform and its governance structure, data were collected from press releases, policy reports, and news articles. Data was analyzed using the frame of Hagui's platform design factors and Ansell & Gash's collaborative governance model. The results of the public platform analyses showed 1) incompleteness in the value trade-off accounting, which was designed for platform business based on general cost-benefit analysis, and 2) a closed governance structure that limits direct participation of diverse user groups(i.e., service provider, customer) in order to enhance providers' utility by preventing customers' excessive online activities. The results of this study provided theoretical and policy implications regarding designing the strategy for accounting for value trade-offs and functioning governance structure for public platforms.

Digital Control of UPS Inverter with Time Response Specifications

  • This paper presents two approaches for designing a digital controller of UPS inverter with time response requirements and a fixed sampling time, which are inward and outward approaches based on a double loop feedback structure. In both approaches, the emulation method. is occupied. Thus we first design continuous-time controllers and then obtain digital controllers by using discretization. We apply the characteristic ratio assignment (CRA) in order to achieve the time response specifications. Also, the internal model control has been used for compensating phase delay in outward approach. The performances of the proposed controller are evaluated through several simulations carried out with Simpower system toolbox 3.0 of $Simulink^{(R)}$.

A VLSI Design for Scalable High-Speed Digital Winner-Take-All Circuit

  • A high speed VLSI digital Winner-Take-All (WTA) circuit called simultaneous digital WTA (SDWTA) circuit is presented in this paper. A minimized comparison-cell (w-cell) is developed to reduce the size and to achieve high-speed. The w-cell which is suitable for VLSI implementation consists of only four transistors. With a minimized comparison-cell structure SDWTA can compare thousands of data simultaneously. SDWTA is scalable with O(mlog n) time-complexity for n of m-bit data. According to simulations, it takes 16.5 ns with $1.2V-0.13{\mu}m$ process technology in finding a winner among 1024 of 16-bit data.

이토 토요의 건축에 나타난 자기완결적 3차원 조직체의 특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on Characteristics of Self-Contained Three-Dimensional Organic Body found in Architecture of Ito Toyo)

  • Recent projects of Japanese architect, Ito Toyo have been evolved into innovative and experimental stages that are unique and different from other contemporary architects. Since Ito established his own office in 1971, there were several critical changes and developments in terms of architectural philosophy as well as design methods. Particularly, after Sendai Mediatheque, Ito has tended to focus on creating three-dimensional organic body in which architectural form, space, structure, facilities, images are merged all together. With this new type of three-dimensional structure, Ito aims to generate a new notion of architecture as 'living organism'. This paper tried to analyze Ito's new concept of architecture, design process of three-dimensional organic body and its ultimate characteristics and meanings. For the analysis, three projects were selected: Taichung Metropolitan Opera House(2005), Berkeley Art Museum and Pacific Film Archive(2007), The New Deichman Library in Oslo(2008). These projects clearly represent several types of three-dimensional organic body. After the comparative studies, it is found that, in Ito's design process and method, there are unique characters: ambivalent relationship between plan and three-dimensional form, aiming new/hyper reality through complicated collaboration of analogue and digital design tools, and contradictory relationship with surrounding urban context. Although there are some limitations and restrictions, ever-evolving Ito's design concept and methods are very much valid and meaningful in contemporary spatial design in various perspectives.

빅데이터 분석을 이용한 디지털 패션 테크에 대한 인식 연구 (Perceptions and Trends of Digital Fashion Technology - A Big Data Analysis -)

  • This study aimed to reveal the perceptions and trends of digital fashion technology through an informational approach. A big data analysis was conducted after collecting the text shown in a web environment from April 2019 to April 2021. Key words were derived through text mining analysis and network analysis, and the structure of perception of digital fashion technology was identified. Using textoms, we collected 8144 texts after data refinement, conducted a frequency of emergence and central component analysis, and visualized the results with word cloud and N-gram. The frequency of appearance also generated matrices with the top 70 words, and a structural equivalent analysis was performed. The results were presented with network visualizations and dendrograms. Fashion, digital, and technology were the most frequently mentioned topics, and the frequencies of platform, digital transformation, and start-ups were also high. Through clustering, four clusters of marketing were formed using fashion, digital technology, startups, and augmented reality/virtual reality technology. Future research on startups and smart factories with technologies based on stable platforms is needed. The results of this study contribute to increasing the fashion industry's knowledge on digital fashion technology and can be used as a foundational study for the development of research on related topics.
