The Influence of Subjective Health Status on Daily Life Satisfaction of the People with Disabilities - Focusing on the Mediating Effects of Acceptance of Disability and Depression - (장애인의 주관적 건강수준이 일상생활만족도에 미치는 영향 -장애수용과 우울의 매개효과-)

  • This study analyzes the impact the subjective health status of people with disabilities has on the daily life satisfaction and the mediating effect of their psychological mechanisms such as depression and acceptance of disability. The purpose of this study is to serve as the basis for the establishment of practical intervention strategies and policy measures by identifying the relationship between the subjective health status and the life satisfaction. This study analyzes the raw data of the fourth Panel Survey of Employment for the Disabled surveyed by Employment Development Institute of Korea Employment Promotion Agency for the Disabled. In summary, the results are as follows. First, as a result of analyzing the relationships between subjective health status, disability acceptance, depression, and daily life satisfaction, the daily life satisfaction had a positive correlation with the subjective health status and the acceptance of disability while having a negative correlation with depression. Second, regarding the impact the subjective health status has on the daily life satisfaction and the mediating effect of the acceptance of disability and depression, the subjective health status had a statistically significant impact on the daily life satisfaction; there was a partial mediating effect of the acceptance of disability and depression in the relationship. The practical and political proposals on the basis of these results wereas presented.

  • To find out self elasticity of student of dental hygienic, how self elasticity influences life adaptation of college and study satisfaction. To structure analysis the effects that is given from self-elasticity of student of dental hygienic influences life adaptation of college and study satisfaction, from 2013/10/1 to 2013/10/31 due to convenience sampling, 369 students in grade 1,2,3 in Daegu Gyeongbuk were conducted a survey. The sub factors of self elasticity and study satisfaction and correlation of university life adjustment have the highest relevance to optimistic attitude and life adaptation of college. The higher self elasticity, the higher study satisfaction and the higher self elasticity and study satisfaction, the higher life adaptation of college. self elasticity increase the study satisfaction of students, improve adaptation(p<0.001). Therefore to promote the life adaptation of college, the effort and attention to reinforce the abilities of regulation of self elasticity that are an improvement of personal relation, goal setting, anger control and motivation. On this wise, development and management of suitable continuous and gradational educational programs are needed.

The Mediating Effect of Ego-Resilience on the Relation between Self-rated Health and Life Satisfaction of the Adolescents (청소년의 주관적 건강수준과 삶의 만족도에서 자아탄력성의 매개효과)

  • This study was conducted to provide the basis for the establishment of various youth policies by analyzing and validating the mediated effects of ego resilience on the impact of adolescents' self-rated health on life satisfaction. The population consisted of a nationally representative sample of adolescents(n=1,979) in high school first grade student who completed the Korean Children and Youth Panel Survey(KCYPS) in 2016. The study analyzed the data by descriptive analysis, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson's correlation coefficients and path modeling, using the SPSS and AMOS program. The result is following; Self-rated health has significant effects of ego-resilience(β=.26, p<.05). Self-rated health(β=.18, p<.05) and ego-resilience(β=.45, p<.05) have shown significant implications for life satisfaction. In addition, ego-resilience have been shown to be partial mediation effect between Self-rated health and life satisfaction. The results revealed that the adolescents who scored high on self-rated health were better the life satisfaction, and ego-resilience partially mediated the relationship between self-rated health and life satisfaction in adolescents. In order to increase the life satisfaction for adolescent, it was confirmed that a multi-dimensional approach is needed to consider the self-rated health as well as self-resilience.

  • The Korean society is transforming into the intelligence information society rapidly during the 4th industrial revolution. But middle aged and elderly people are hard to access and accept these changes. So, the purpose of this study is to examine the Intelligence information society factors affects life satisfaction among the elderly by moderating effect of on/offline social capital. This study analyzed data of 2,303 people between the ages over 50 from the 2018 Digital Divide Survey conducted by the National Information Society Agency (NIA) using SPSS26.0. The result showed that sex, age, education, household type, Intelligence information society perception, expectation, anxiety are significantly effected life satisfaction. Also on/offline social capital had moderating effect between intelligence information society and life satisfaction. Based on the results of this study proviedes a basis for developing a success model for elderly people who accepts the intelligence information society. Also, this study identifies the implications and future studies are suggested.

  • This study identified the effects of self-efficacy and social support on university life adaptation of male nursing college students. A survey of 200 male nursing college students was conducted. There was a positive correlation between self-efficacy and social support, self-efficacy and college life adaptation, and social support and university life adaptation. Self-efficacy differed between major choice subjects and major satisfaction, social support differed significantly in military service, major choice subjects, and major satisfaction, and college life adaptation differed significantly in major choice subjects, major choice motivation, and major satisfaction. The application of social support and self-efficacy enhancement programs reflecting the characteristics of male nursing college students and continuous research with various variables are needed.

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the college life adaptation that is affected by major satisfaction, learning commitment, and time management behavior of the college of Health students. The data were collected from 482 College of Health students at U city and analyzed using descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, Scheffe test, Pearson's correlation analysis, and multiple regression. As a result of this study, major satisfaction, learning commitment, and time management behavior of College of Health students showed a positive relation with college life adaptation, and those factors affected college life adaptation. Therefore, it is necessary to make and apply the programs to enhance the college life adaptation for the college of Health students, and the supports such as environmental improvement and teaching methods are required to increase the learning commitment.

A Study on Multi-level Models in life satisfaction of Elderly Living alone : Moderating Effect of Elderly's Leisure Activity and Social Support (다층모형을 활용한 독거노인의 삶의 만족도에 미치는 영향요인 분석 : 생산적 여가참여와 사회적지지의 조절효과를 중심으로)

  • This study aims to examine whether the life satisfaction of the elderly living alone is influenced by demographic background, economic activity, productive leisure participation and the moderating effect of social support. Data in this study was from 5th Korean Retirement Income Study, and 890 elderly living alone were extracted and analyzed, and a multi-level analysis was used to analyze the data because the life satisfaction of the elderly living alone has a random effect according to the region. The results of this study were as follows; First, the elderly living alone showed high life satisfaction when they live in province rather than Seoul or metropolitan city, spend higher living expenses, do economic activities, and they are economically independent. Second, those who participated in productive leisure activity were more satisfied with life than those who did not, and those who have social support are more satisfied with their life. Third, the relationship between productive leisure participation and life satisfaction was moderated by social support. When the elderly living alone participate in productive leisure activities, they feel more life satisfaction according to social support given to them.

Relations between Clinical practice Emotional labor, Self esteem and Major Satisfaction of among Nursing Students (간호대학생의 임상실습 감정노동과 자아존중감, 전공만족도 관계)

  • This study was done to identify the relationship between emotional labor, self-esteem, and major satisfaction of clinical practice among nursing students. Participants were 199 nursing students who had clinical practice that located in B- city and K- do during the period from August 3rd to 17th, 2015. The average mean scores for self esteem, emotional labor, and major satisfaction were 3.53, 3.26 and 3.46 (5 scale). Pearson's correlation revealed self esteem had a significant positive effect on major satisfaction, while emotional labor had a negative effect on major satisfaction. Factors having a significant influence on major satisfaction included self esteem, satisfaction of college life, and level of academic scores. These factors explained 34.0% of variance in major satisfaction. Thus, the satisfaction of college life, self esteem, and academic score were required to manage for major satisfaction of nursing students.

A Study of Influence on Adolescent Psychological Well-Being - Focusing on Strengths of Family Life and Satisfaction with School Life in the IT-based Society (청소년의 심리적 안녕감에 미치는 영향력에 관한 연구 -IT기반 사회의 가정생활건강성과 학교생활만족도를 중심으로-)

  • This study examined influence of strengths of family life and satisfaction with school life on adolescent psychological well-being, particularly targeting at high school students in the rapidly changing IT-based society. In order to investigate influence of factors related to home and school as the main living spaces on improving adolescent psychological well-being, a survey of 251 students at K academic high school in Busan was conducted and then multiple regression analysis was carried out. Firstly, the analysis showed that adolescents' sharing time at home could make a positive impact on their positive interpersonal relationships. It also showed that family bonds could have a positive impact on adolescents' positive interpersonal relationships, the goal of life, and personal growth, and thus satisfaction in communication at home was a factor that could be helpful to environmental control. Secondly, it indicated that adolescents' satisfaction with school life was a factor that had a positive impact on self-acceptance, environmental control, and the goal of life among the sub-factors of psychological well-being. It turned out that peer relationships could have a positive impact on positive interpersonal relationships, likewise school lessons and peer relationships could have a positive impact on autonomy. According to the results of analysis, factors related to strengths of family life and satisfaction with school life could affect adolescent psychological well-being. Therefore, these findings can be applied to establishing major youth policy.

  • This study compared and analyzed the connection use, using behaviors and life satisfaction of paid users and free users in accordance with the business models of convergence N-screen service providers. It also analyzed factors that influence users' satisfaction at a personal life level, a relationship-based life level and a group-based life level. The study result showed the different connection use levels of broadcast contents by paid and free users of the N-screen service have a statistically significant meaning. The result also showed the personal satisfaction level of paid users is higher than that of free users. It also turned out that factors that influence life satisfaction differ according to whether or not the users paid for the service. Also, academic background and content consumption expenses affected life satisfaction level of free users while connection use of broadcast contents affected the one of paid users. This study provided an insight on the current domestic N-screen market situation and suggested business strategies which could help find business models.
