Comparison of Direct Digital Radiography and Conventional Film Screen Radiography for Detection of Peritoneal Fluid in Dogs (개에서 복수의 평가에 있어서 필름-증감지 방사선 사진과 디지털 방사선 사진의 비교)

  • This study was performed to evaluate the sensitivity of conventional film-screen radiography (CFSR) and direct digital radiography (DDR) for detection of various amounts of free peritoneal fluid. Ten adult male healthy beagles were used in this study. Radiographic examinations were performed in the right lateral and ventrodorsal positions. Fluid was injected in increments of 2.0 ml/kg of body weight up to 20.0 ml/kg of body weight. The images of CFSR and DDR were evaluated by two veterinary radiologists for evidence of abdominal fluid without knowledge of injected fluid volume. Data were evaluated by using the receiver operation curve (ROC) analysis and the area under the curve (AUC). There was no significant difference in detection of peritoneal fluid between DDR and CFSR in the ROC analysis. The accuracy of CFSR (0.805) was relatively higher than that of DDR (0.733), based on the ROC analysis and AUC. AUC of CFSR was higher in most injection doses. These results suggest that CFSR is more accurate than DDR for the detecting peritoneal fluid. Therefore, for situation in which digital radiographs are equivocal or small amount of fluid is suspected, other imaging modalities, such as ultrasonography would be helpful for determining the presence of fluids.

  • Interior design especially the design developments for commercial spaces should ensure the economy of spaces. This is the marketing for space. It is necessary to understand the design elements of commercial space for the efficient using of digital media of space marketing. In this research decided to design application schemes for shopping mall by searching fashion shopping behaviors of users with persona-base scenario approach. Collected the information of users behavior base on case analysis of advance research to make personas. And develop scenario base personas for knowing the needs of users. And then made 4 schemes as the solution. Scheme 1. Customers can get the information and communication with the staff through with media screen in one room of shopping mall. The data of customers can be recorded for providing information or product recommendation personality. Forecast to preferred by group trip or customers that don't like walking around in shopping mall. Scheme 2. Install a media screen at entrance of a store in shopping mall and show special effect to raise customers' attention who walk through from the front of the store. Through with this customers will stay for long time and raise curiosity to get in the store. And the media screen also provide information of store and products. Scheme 3. Customers can get the information of products with using smart phone to scan QR cord in labels of products and record. Customers can finish whole shopping behaviors without the help of store staff. And can make buying decision even have left shopping mall as a online mode. Scheme 4. Store managers can record the products and the environment of store with 360 camera and update to website. Then customers can browse the virtual space with VR glasses. That make customers can have the real shopping experience without being in the store. In this study, have presented schemes of digital media in commercial space. But there are various of commercial space. In this study was presented schemes for shopping mall by searching fashion shopping behaviors of users. And look forward the researches about specific space setting and other type of commercial space for space development.

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze the customer demand for design development of digital convergence furniture in the living space of the ubiquitous home. This study used the individual survey method and was collected from July 1 to 20, 2008. The frequency and percentage were used for data analysis by SPSS window's 12. The results of the study were as follows: The first, a lot of survey targets were 30-40 years old, university graduates, over 50,000,000 won in annual income and 30-40 pyung in house size. The second, what types of activity were carried out in the living room were acquisition of knowledge>entertainment activity>communication activity>household chores. The third, what types of furniture were used in the living room were A/V furniture>table>sofa>computer table>bookself. The forth, customers preferred to picture telephone service in sociality, home-theater service in entertainment and home appliances remote control service in information service. The fifth, the digital functions which can integrate with the living roon furniture, in the item for A/V furniture, was front door control function which recognizes visitors with the screen. In the item for table was function to search internet and for sofa was self purification function. Finally, the digital convergence furniture is not only for one activity but also for various types of activities that can comprehensively function to materialize the concept of comfortable furniture in the living space.

  • A change toward a digital society is requiring of the human quotient who had new informatization ability, and is large to education is affecting it. The digital Storytelling which effective anger to be educational of traditional Storytelling was combined with came into being in these changes. As I provide together multi-media element such as a screen and sound digital Storytelling jumps over the existing Storytelling, and to move, I easily cause an interest of student, and I stimulate intellectual faculties various of a schoolchild, and I make bidirectional enemy interaction possible. Therefore, I extract whether it is the education that it can apply on-site an elementary school of a cow in this study after analyzing digital Storytelling, and digital Storytelling designs the class that it is possible, and I will present it.

  • In this paper, context-aware technologies using a Kinect sensor for a digital signage which is increasingly growing as the 4th screen media is presented. Generalized context-aware functions for a digital signage were studied and a context-aware digital signage platform was developed. It can support a natural user interface for controlling a digital signage and actively provide contents adapted to its context. As a basic context, user's gesture and voice, the number of users, sound direction were considered. In the future, the advanced functions such as age, gender will be studied. The implemented platform could be a good reference model when developing a general context-aware digital signage.

  • The main objective of pathologists is to achieve accurate lesion diagnoses, which has become increasingly challenging due to the growing number of pathological slides that need to be examined. However, using digital technology has made it easier to complete this task compared to older methods. Digital pathology is a specialized field that manages data from digitized specimen slides, utilizing image processing technology to automate and improve analysis. It aims to enhance the precision, reproducibility, and standardization of pathology-based researches, preclinical, and clinical trials through the sophisticated techniques it employs. The advent of whole slide imaging (WSI) technology is revolutionizing the pathology field by replacing glass slides as the primary method of pathology evaluation. Image processing technology that utilizes WSI is being implemented to automate and enhance analysis. Artificial intelligence (AI) algorithms are being developed to assist pathologic diagnosis and detection and segmentation of specific objects. Application of AI-based digital pathology in biomedical researches is classified into four areas: diagnosis and rapid peer review, quantification, prognosis prediction, and education. AI-based digital pathology can result in a higher accuracy rate for lesion diagnosis than using either a pathologist or AI alone. Combining AI with pathologists can enhance and standardize pathology-based investigations, reducing the time and cost required for pathologists to screen tissue slides for abnormalities. And AI-based digital pathology can identify and quantify structures in tissues. Lastly, it can help predict and monitor disease progression and response to therapy, contributing to personalized medicine.

  • Last Subway video surveillance system consists of a network device that is used. Through the network to transmit video data to digital conversion of analog video via a process server or a PC video to a split-screen in various forms is expressed. In recent years, multi-monitor video cameras from the same pop-up or more, such as history, structure expressed on a variety of video is required by express. The problem with these systems, video compression and transmission of many cameras, and this image data received from the server or PC to take out all the images you want to watch to occur when in order to express all of the images because of the need to decode most of the program per limit of number of channels is positioned. This limited number of channels to have a video that nothing forced, but it is likely to do so in the future performance of the hardware evolves gradually channeled images available number of channels will increase proportionately. However, as the development of hardware required for a single screen video channel will be more gradual capital. The hardware rather than relying solely on the performance of the decoded video data on the screen in order to express a more efficient utilization of shared memory for video surveillance software will provide the operating plan.

  • Simple chest radiography is the most frequently performed examination in radiologic practice. However, with transmitted dose through chest which has the problem of wide variations in absorption, conventional Film/Screen Combinations Method make it difficult to delineate lung field mediastinum & cardia portion and subdiaphragmatic structures. In order to overcome this problem, we have been tried several methods as follows. High Kilovoltage Technique, Rare Earth Screen/Wide Lattitude Film, Use of Compensating Filter and Digital Beam Attenuator and recently Insigh System has been developed. In this paper, we'd like to discuss Insight film through apperciation by measuring the difference of contrast. In order to evaluate insight film. We have done experiments using Insight System with Simple Phase, Picker 550. We could get an result which was able to overcome the limitted dynamic range of conventional Film/Screen System remarkably.

  • Recent activation of DMB has enabled various high quality video, audio and data services. And there are various user facilities functions using digital data transmission. One of the various user facilities functions is EPG(Electronic Program Guide). EPG supports schedule of programs on screen for. audiences. EPG is composed to time, title, channel, genre etc. Users can select a program what they want to browsing. Currently EPG services are displaying program schedule on screen visually and make users to input ke:ywords with keypads, remote control devices or touch screen etc. However, this approach could cause a serious restriction to some users like to drivers or visually handicapped persons. A standard for a voice EPG to T-DMB is proposed. This method must be transferred VoiceXML based EPG files from the transmitter to receivers. This approach has a problem to process a standardization because the transmitter and receivers should be modified. We proposed and implemented a voice EPG platform that generates the voice EPG files from T-DMB SI without transferring voice EPG file from the transmitter.

  • This paper summarizes the development of an ART control system panel with a touch screen and sensors to measure the roll and roll rate of ships. The control system hardware consists of two micro-processors, analog and digital I/O circuits, various relay circuits, etc. Sensor fusion and moving cross algorithms are implemented to accurately estimate the roll angle and roll period. In addition, the control system adopts a fault detection algorithm to inform users of ART system faults. A touch screen in the control panel can display the ART system states and faults. The performance of the developed system was verified on real sea trials.
