정보통신 부문의 급격한 기술혁신과 가격하락으로 인한 인터넷의 확산은 전 세계를 하나의 공간으로 묶어주면서 시 공간을 수렴시키고 있다. 인터넷의 확산과 인터넷을 기반으로 하는 다양한 경제활동이 이루어지면서 디지털 경제가 진전되고 있다. 인터넷의 확산은 경제구조의 변화 뿐만 아니라 정치, 사회, 문화 등의 거의 모든 분야에 큰 변화를 가져오고 있다. 인터넷의 활용 증대는 거리의 소멸과 지리적 장소의 무의미성을 가져올 것이라는 주장이 대두되었으나 인터넷의 확산은 국가간에 디지털 격차를 가져오고 있는 동시에 인터넷 서비스 공급은 수요가 많은 대도시에 집중되면서 공간적 차별화를 야기시키는 것으로 파악되고 있다. 고 소득국가와 저 소득국가 간의 디지털 접근지수는 상당한 차이를 보이고 있다. 또한 인터넷 기간망은 인터넷 서비스 수요가 많은 대도시에 편향적으로 구축되고 인터넷 서비스로의 접근성이 양호한 대도시로 인터넷 관련 산업이 집적하여 기간망 구축과 투자를 유발하는 누적적 인과관계를 보이고 있다. 인터넷의 확산은 대도시의 중심성 강화, 공간적 집중화 및 파편화 현상을 나타내면서 공간구조의 변화에 큰 영향을 미치고 있다.

Purpose - The purpose of the study was to find out factors having influence upon management of franchise convenience stores being distribution business by interview with franchisees in accordance with Delphi method and to investigate marketing strategy of increase income. Research design, data, and methodology - This study investigated not only franchisees but also head office's franchise consultants of convenience stores carefully by Delta technique to suggest actual solutions of practice and to be different from precedent studies. Delphi method's interview and questionnaire were used to investigate performance of franchisees. 120 franchisees were interviewed to consist of men and women. Results - FC visited franchise stores to investigate: Franchisees thought of keeping of exact information on commodity information and sales promotion events, and admitted of franchiser's effort of growth and development of stores and improper visit frequency of stores and low effort of solving of difficulty of franchisees. Conclusions - More than 80% of the franchisees cognized more than 70% of performance upon request of ordering from headquarters: Not only franchisees but also headquarters need to lessen gap of difference of cognition. Franchise headquarters was thought to give services below than common level, and service manual and operation manual were thought to be high. Headquarters need to give practical support service.

The widespread use of the Internet and the maturing of digital video technology have led to an increase in various streaming media application. However, new classes of hosts such as mobile devices are gaining popularity, while the transmission became more heterogeneous. Due to the characteristics of mobile networks such as low speed, high error bit rate, etc., the applications over the wireless channel have different needs and limitations from desktop computers. An intermediary between two communicating endpoints to hide the heterogeneous network links is thought as one of the best approaches. In this paper, we adopted the concept of inter-packet gap and the sequence number between continuously received packets as the error discriminator, and designed an adaptive packet sizing mechanism to improve the network efficiency under varying channel conditions. Based on the proposed mechanism, the packetization scheme with error protection is proposed to scalable encoded video delivery. Finally, simulation results reveal that our proposed mechanism can react to the varying BER conditions with better network efficiency and gain the obvious improvement to video quality for stored MPEG-4 FGS video delivery.

Terahertz waves are superior to conventional X-ray or Magnetic Resonance Tomography(MRI), and the amount of information that can be transmitted is as large as thousands of times that conventional X-ray or MRI. In addition, Terahertz waves have great performance in analyzing an object which have some layered structure. By using this advantage, we can extract the letters of a page by analyzing information such as absorption amount and reflection amount by irradiating a closed book with pulses of various frequencies within gap of a terahertz wave. However, in the image of each page using the Terahertz wave might be obtained various kinds of noise and the different character occlusion region. So, to extract letters from the terahertz image, we must take the noise and occlusion region away. We have been working to enhancement the image quality in various ways, and keep on studying de-noising processing for enhancement about the image quality and high resolution. Finally, we also keep on studying about OCR(Optical Character Recognition) technology, which based on pattern matching technique, to read letters.

이 글의 목적은 한국사회에서 도서관이 정보와 교육 그리고 문화의 영역에서 사회적 소수자를 위한 필수적인 '공익 장치'로 거듭나기 위한 전략과 방안을 모색하는데 있다. 이를 위해 이 글은 먼저 한국사회에서 소수자와 정보빈곤이 갖는 보편적 의미에 주목하면서, 소수자의 정보빈곤에 관한 한국 학계의 문제인식과 대응방법 그리고 그 성과와 한계에 대해 논의한다. 이어서 논점을 한국 도서관계로 좁혀서, 소수자의 정보빈곤에 대한 한국 도서관계의 문제인식과 대응실태를 추적한다. 이 과정에서 한국 도서관계가 주목해온 소수자의 정체와 정보빈곤의 실체를 밝혀내고, 관련 학술연구와 도서관서비스의 성과와 한계 그리고 문제점에 대해 논의한다. 마지막 논의는 소수자 정책의 건강성을 회복하기 위한 한국 도서관계의 책무에 집중된다. 소수자 정책의 이론적 근거를 강화하기 위해 도서관학자들이 담당하여야 하는 책무와 실효적인 소수자서비스의 개발을 위해 도서관 현장의 사람들이 준수하여야 하는 원칙과 전략에 대한 제언이 포함된다.

수많은 정보의 홍수 속에 정보 과다는 현대인의 피할 수 없는 문제로 대두되었다. 특히, 인터넷과 컴퓨팅 기술의 발전으로 정보 자원이 급속도로 증가하고 있다. 따라서, 사용자가 원하는 정보를 찾아내는 것은 더욱 어려워졌다. 이러한 정보 검색 문제들을 해결하기 위하여 많은 정보 검색 시스템이 나타나게 되었다. 현재의 정보 검색 시스템들은 문서 검색에서는 사용자의 요구에 맞는 결과를 찾아 주고 있다. 그러나. 화상에 대한 검색 시스템의 연구는 초보 단계이기 때문에 사용자의 요구에 맞는 결과를 출력하지 못하고 있다. 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위해서 본 논문에서는 화상 검색 시스템이 사용자 모델을 이용하여 사용자에게 적응할 수 있는 기능을 부여하기 위하여 지능 사용자 인터페이스에 관한 고찰을 통한 인간-컴퓨터의 상호 작용 모델인 HCOS(Human-Computer Symmetry) 모델을 적용하고 이를 기반으로 화상 검색 시스템에서의 사용자 적응 능력을 갖는 지능 사용자 인터페이스를 제안하였다. 지능 사용자 인터페이스는 정보 검색의 복잡성과 사용자와 시스템간의 의미상의 차이를 감소시켜야 하며 사용자의 질의 성향과 관심을 반영할 수 있도록 학습 기능과 적응 기능을 포함하고 있어야 한다. 이를 위해 본 논문에서는 화상 검색을 위한 사용자 모델에 기계 학습(Machine Learning) 알고리듬인 결정 트리(Decision Tree)와 역전파 신경망(Backpropagation Neural Network)을 사용하였다. 지능 사용자 인터페이스의 화상 검색 실험을 통하여 시스템이 사용자에 적응하여 검색 효율이 좋아짐을 알 수 있었다.

The corporate image is one of the key elements improving competitiveness of the business, and is conveyed to the public through a design management strategy and its activities with design identity. Therefore, it is important to enhance the corporate image through systematic design management. Recently, in the field of communication services, as a technical gap between corporations has been narrowed, and the importance of design has been magnified, more and more corporations have adopted the design management. It is, however, not easy to build and convey the corporate image to the public systematically, because not only do the corporations run a communication service, the corporations face various business areas and targets. In this study, we analyzed the relationship between the intended image of the corporate and users' visual experiences based on the surveys on the case of KT, which pioneered design management and has made outstanding design results. According to the result, KT's strategic image concepts have positive effects on users' visual experience in each subarea of its design identity. In conclusion, it is necessary to narrow the gap between users' experiences and images that a corporate intends to convey through continuous research on users' experiences and improvement in a design management system.

정보격차현상은 정보화 혹은 정보사회로의 진입과 더불어 심각한 사회문제로 부상하리라 예측되고 있으며, 이를 해소하기 위한 사회적 관심들이 적지 않다. 그러나 정보 격차 현황과 추이를 파악하려는 대부분의 연구들은 기술적 분석에 머무르고 있는 실정이다. 본 연구는 기존연구들에서 정보격차 배경변인으로 알려진 거주지역, 성, 연령, 교육수준 및 가구소득 등의 상대적 영향력과 이들 변인에 따른 정보격차가 지난 몇 년간 심화, 지속 혹은 완화되었는지를 파악한다. 이를 위해 본 연구는 한국정보문화센터가 실시한 <1998년도 국민정보화인식 및 정보생화실태조사>와 <2000년도 정보생활 실태 및 정보화인식조사> 자료를 활용하여, 컴퓨터와 인터넷 이용여부에 대한 다중로짓 모형분석을 실시하였다. 그 결과, 1998-2000년이라는 짧은 기간 동안에 컴퓨터와 인터넷 사용에서의 남녀간 격차는 다소 줄어들었으나, 대부분의 사회집단간 격차는 지속되거나 증가하고 있음이 발견되었다. 점차 가속되는 정보화과정에서 이러한 사회경제적 인구학적 배경변인에 따른 정보격차는 사회통합과 발전에 중요한 걸림돌로 등장하며, 그에 따른 사회적 정책적 대응이 요구된다.

자유학기제는 초등학교 진로인식, 중학교 진로탐색, 고등학교 진로설계를 연계한 교육정책으로서 중학교 진로교육 활성화에 초점을 맞추고 있다. 이 제도가 2016년에 전면 시행됨에 따라 공공도서관도 자유학기제 기반의 프로그램을 개설 제공하여 왔다. 이에 본 연구는 부산지역 공공도서관 자유학기제 프로그램을 분석한 후 지역발전에 대한 기여도를 논증했다. 그 결과, 진로 직업탐색, 진로탐방 체험, 정보해득력 제고 프로그램은 지역의 지식문화, 독서문화, 학습문화, 생활문화, 여가문화에 기여했다. 다만, 진로 직업탐색 중 강연 전시와 직업체험, 정보해득력 제고가 여가문화 및 지역경제에 기여하는 바는 제한적이었다. 따라서 모든 공공도서관은 지식생태계 구조, 디지털 정보격차, 인문치유, 사회환경 문제, 미래 직업상 등에 관한 프로그램을 추가하고 정보해득력 프로그램을 필수적으로 제공하는 것이 바람직하다.

이 논문에서는 현재 창원시 중학교의 학력수준을 분석하고, 향후 창원시 중학교 학력수준 개선방안을 탐색하였다. 분석에 활용한 자료는 학교 알리미 사이트(www.schoolinfo.go.kr)에 공개된 2013년도부터 2016년까지의 창원시 중학교 학생들의 국가수준 학업성취도 평가 결과이다. 분석결과, 첫째, 창원시 중학교의 학력수준은 인구 규모가 비슷한 광주, 대전, 울산광역시의 학력수준보다 높지 않음을 확인하였다. 둘째, 창원시내 중학교 간 학력 수준이 년도에 따라 차이가 있었다. 셋째, 창원시 중학교의 학력 수준은 창원시 구(區)별로 차이가 있었다. 넷째, 창원시 중학교 간 학력 차이는 공 사립별로, 단성(單性)학교와 남녀 공학 간에도 존재하였다. 이러한 분석결과에 근거하여 이 논문에서는 보통학력 이상 비율이 낮은 학교들은 보통학력 이상 비율을 높일 수 있는 방안을 강구해야 하고, 기초학력 미달 학생의 비율이 높은 학교는 무엇보다도 기초학력 미달 학생을 해소하려는 노력을 기울여야 함을 제안하였다.
