An Empirical Study Applying the Self-Determination Factors to Flow and Satisfaction of SmartPhone (자기결정성 요인이 스마트폰 몰입과 만족에 미치는 영향)

  • The smartphone is simply beyond the means of communication equipment, to line up the turning point of mobile convergence, is recognized as a service tool of new concept the camera, game, multimedia function, digital multimedia broadcasting, mobile internet etc, that use of smartphone is working toward developed a variety and new business models. The study is empirically studied casualties that self-determination influences flow and satisfaction which is intrinsic motivation of smartphone. There are many studies on flow, is intrinsic motivation, influencing satisfaction and Loyalty, but there are little studies which variables influences flow. this study is explore causality of autonomy, competence, relatedness which are major variables of self-determination theory that studied factors effecting intrinsic motivation influencing flow and satisfaction. This study developed a research model to explain the use of smartphone, and collected 670 survey responses from the office workers of seoul S company who had experiences with such smartphone. To prove the validity of the proposed research model, SEM analysis is applied with valid 670 questionnaires. The results, firstly, autonomy positively influences flow. secondly, competence significantly influences flow. thirdly, relatedness significantly influenced flow. also, upper above results shows that flow influences satisfaction.

A Study on the Application method of Digital Media in Commercial Space - Using Persona-based Scenario Approach - (상업공간 디지털미디어 적용방안에 관한 연구 - 페르소나 기반 사용자 시나리오 기법으로 -)

  • Interior design especially the design developments for commercial spaces should ensure the economy of spaces. This is the marketing for space. It is necessary to understand the design elements of commercial space for the efficient using of digital media of space marketing. In this research decided to design application schemes for shopping mall by searching fashion shopping behaviors of users with persona-base scenario approach. Collected the information of users behavior base on case analysis of advance research to make personas. And develop scenario base personas for knowing the needs of users. And then made 4 schemes as the solution. Scheme 1. Customers can get the information and communication with the staff through with media screen in one room of shopping mall. The data of customers can be recorded for providing information or product recommendation personality. Forecast to preferred by group trip or customers that don't like walking around in shopping mall. Scheme 2. Install a media screen at entrance of a store in shopping mall and show special effect to raise customers' attention who walk through from the front of the store. Through with this customers will stay for long time and raise curiosity to get in the store. And the media screen also provide information of store and products. Scheme 3. Customers can get the information of products with using smart phone to scan QR cord in labels of products and record. Customers can finish whole shopping behaviors without the help of store staff. And can make buying decision even have left shopping mall as a online mode. Scheme 4. Store managers can record the products and the environment of store with 360 camera and update to website. Then customers can browse the virtual space with VR glasses. That make customers can have the real shopping experience without being in the store. In this study, have presented schemes of digital media in commercial space. But there are various of commercial space. In this study was presented schemes for shopping mall by searching fashion shopping behaviors of users. And look forward the researches about specific space setting and other type of commercial space for space development.

Ship Design Visualization System base on Augmented Reality (증강현실 기반의 선박설계 시각화 시스템)

  • Augmented Reality (AR) enables the enhanced realism and interaction by providing the overlaid digital information on the user's view of the physical world. In this paper, we propose an AR-based ship design visualization system for presenting ship 3D model in smart phones or table PCs. The proposed system compute corner points and feature points by contour finding method and harris corner detector, and build a ship-design drawing database. By using SURF algorithm, key feature points are extracted from ship-design drawing image which is obtained by mobile camera. Then ship-design drawing image is recognized by matching the feature points stored in DB and extracted key feature points. 3D ship structures are visualized by overlaying the ship-design drawing image on the smart phone or table PC's screen. Compared to conventional 2D ship-design, proposed system helps to easily understand the structures of the ship and reduce the business design period. Thus, Enhanced competitiveness of business is expected.

  • TFT-LCD(Thin Film Transistor Liquid Crystal Display) module is representative commercial product of FPD(Flat Panel Display). Thickness of TFT-LCD module is very thin. It is adopted for major display unit for IT devices such as Cellular Phone, Camcorder, Digital camera and etc. Due to the harsh user environment of mobile IT devices, it requires complicated structure and tight assembly. And user requirements for the mechanical functionalities of TFT-LCD module become more strict. However, TFT-LCD module is normally weak to high level transient mechanical shock. Since it uses thin crystallized panel. Therefore, anti-shock performance is classified as one of the most important design specifications. Traditionally, the product reliability against mechanical shock is confirmed by empirical method in the design-prototype-drop/impact testredesign paradigm. The method is time-consuming and expensive process. It lacks scientific insight and quantitative evaluation. In this article, a systematic design evaluation of TFT-LCD module for mobile IT devices is presented with combinations of FEA and testing to support the optimal shock proof display design procedure.

Music Recognition by Partial Template Matching (부분적 템플릿 매칭을 활용한 악보인식)

  • For music score recognition, several approaches have been proposed including shape matching, statistical methods, neural network based methods and structural methods. In this paper, we deal with recognition for low resolution images which are captured by the digital camera of a mobile phone. Considerable distortions are included in these low resolution images, so when existing technology is used, many problems appear. First, captured images are not stable in the sense that they contain lots of distortions or non-uniform illumination changes. Therefore, notes or symbols in the music score are damaged and recognition process gets difficult. This paper presents recognition technology to overcome these problems. First, musical note to head, stick, tail part are separated. Then template matching on head part of musical note, and remainder part is applied. Experimental results show nearly 100% recognition rate for music scores with single musical notes.

  • In digital era image processing has been utilized in a variety of media such as TV, camera and smart phone. However, in the process of analyzing, recognizing, and processing image data, deterioration occurs due to various causes and Salt & Pepper noise occurs. Typical methods for removing such noise include SMF, CWMF, and SWMF. However, existing methods have a somewhat poor noise canceling characteristic in Salt & Pepper noise environment. Therefore, in this paper, we propose an algorithm to remove Salt & Pepper noise effectively by using bilinear interpolation method and median filter according to noise density of local mask. And using the PSNR(Peak Signal to Noise Ratio) it compared to the existing methods and their performance in order to determine the performance of the proposed method.

  • With the advance of Internet Technology, various social network services are created and used by users. Especially, the use of smart devices makes that multimedia contents can be used and distributed on social network services. However, since the crime rate also is increased by users with illegal purposes, there are needs to protect contents and block illegal usage of contents with multimedia forensics. In this paper, we propose a multimedia forensic technique which is identifying the video source. First, the scheme to acquire the sensor pattern noise (SPN) using morphology filtering is presented, which comes from the imperfection of photon detector. Using this scheme, the SPN of reference videos from the reference device is estimated and the SPN of an unknown video is estimated. Then, the similarity between two SPNs is measured to identify whether the unknown video is acquired using the reference device. For the performance analysis of the proposed technique, 30 devices including DSLR camera, compact camera, camcorder, action cam and smart phone are tested and quantitatively analyzed. Based on the results, the proposed technique can achieve the 96% accuracy in identification.

Effects of Wheelchair Back Support and Ischial Pad on Neck, Trunk Angle and Chest Expansion in Stroke Patients (휠체어 허리 지지대와 궁둥 패드가 뇌졸중 환자의 목, 몸통 각도 및 가슴우리 확장에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the immediate effect of lumbar support and ischial pad on neck, trunk angle and chest expansion for stroke patients using wheelchair. Fifteen stroke patients were measured repeatedly when a lumbar support using(L support), a Ischial pad using(I Pad), a Lumbar support with ischial pad using(L With I), and non using it(Non using). The measurement of the neck and trunk angle was confirmed using a mobile phone camera, and chest expansion was performed using a tapeline. L With I increased significantly in neck and trunk angle and lower chest expansion than non using. This study shows that simultaneous use of lumbar support and ischial pad for stroke patients using wheelchair can increase the neck and trunk angle, chest expansion immediately. Future studies will need to identify more long-term changes by continuing intervention with more subjects.

Light ID and HMD-AR Based Interactive Exhibition Design for Jeonju Hanok Village Immersive 3D View (전주 한옥마을의 실감 3D View를 위한 Light ID 및 HMD-AR 기반 인터렉티브 전시 설계)

  • The digital convergence looking for new ways to engage visitors by superimposing virtual content on projection over the real world captured media contents. This paper propose the Light ID based interactive 3D immersive exhibition things view using HMD AR technology. This approach does not required to add any additional infrastructure to be built-in to enable service and uses the installed Lighting or displays devices in the exhibit area. In this approach, the Light ID can be used as a Location Identifier and communication medium to access the content unlike the QR Tag which supports provide the download information through web interface. This utilize the advantages of camera based optical wireless communication (OWC) to receive the media content on smart device to deliver immersive 3D content visualization using AR. The proposed exhibition method is emulated on GALAXY S8 smart phone and the visual performance is evaluated for Jeonju Hanok Village. The experimental results shows that the proposed method can give immersive 3D view for exhibit things in real-time.
