본 논문은 MPEG-2 AAC 멀티채널 오디오 및 MPEG-4 오디오의 다중객체 부호화를 위한 DSP 시스템의 설계 및 구현에 관하여 기술한다. DSP로서는 TI 사의 최근 제품인 고성능의 TMS320C6701 (이하 6701로 함) 2개를 사용하였고, DSP 보드는 PC에 장착하여 프로그램을 다운로드하고 시스템을 제어할 수 있게 하기 위하여 PCI 인터페이스를 함께 구현하였으며, 부호화기 및 복화기로서 함께 사용할 수 있는 구조로서 설계하였다. 또한 멀티채널 오디오를 디지털 신호로 변환하고 다중화하여 직렬신호로서 입력하고, 다시 역으로 출력하기 위한 시스템을 별도로 외부에 구현하였으며, 접속 인터페이스로서 ADI (Alesys Digital audio Interface)론 사용하여, ADI 인터페이스를 지원하는 멀티채널오디오 장비론 입출력 시스템으로 사용할 수 있도록 하였다. 현재의 결과로서는 MPEG-2 AAC 4채널 오디오를 2개의 DSP를 사용하여 실시간으로 안정되게 부호화 할 수 있으며, 1개의 DSP로도 8채널까지의 복호화가 가능함을 확인하였다.

Digital transformation is driving so many changes in daily life and industry. The automobile industry is in a similar situation. In some cases, element techniques in areas called metabuses are also being adopted, such as 3D animated digital cockpit, around view, and voice AI, etc. Through the growth of the mobile market, the norm of human-computer interaction (HCI) has been evolving from keyboard-mouse interaction to touch screen. The core area was the graphical user interface (GUI), and recently, the audio user interface (AUI) has partially replaced the GUI. Since it is easy to access and intuitive to the user, it is quickly becoming a common area of the in-vehicle experience (IVE), especially. The benefits of a AUI are freeing the driver's eyes and hands, using fewer screens, lower interaction costs, more emotional and personal, effective for people with low vision. Nevertheless, when and where to apply a GUI or AUI are actually different approaches because some information is easier to process as we see it. In other cases, there is potential that AUI is more suitable. This is a study on a proposal to actively apply a AUI in the near future based on the context of various scenes occurring to improve IVE.

본 논문에서는 디지털 전관방송용 제어기를 구동시키기 위한 직관적인 사용자 인터페이스 소프트웨어의 구현 결과와 오디오믹서 제어 부분에 대한 성능을 확인할 수 있다. 개발된 사용자 인터페이스 소프트웨어는 디지털 하이브리드 믹서의 유지관리 및 제어기능을 제공한다. 통합제어서버에 탑재되어 오디오 믹서인 TAD-168M의 음향상태등을 제어하고 전관방송 통합시스템에 대한 단말기의 상태를 모니터링할 수 있다. 또한, 통합관리까지 가능한 프로그램 소프트웨어로써 향후 지속적인 업그레이드가 가능하다. 개발된 소프트웨어는 이더넷으로 TAD-168M과 연결되고 운영 PC와의 통신을 위해 PC의 랜포트와 TAD-168M의 후면에 위치한 4 포트 스위치에 랜케이블로 연결된다. 기존에 없었던 개발 시스템을 통해 방송시스템에 대한 시스템 관리, 음향제어, 상향방송 제어의 통합제어가 가능하게 되었다.

In this letter, we present a layered structure of the Korean terrestrial Digital Multimedia Broadcasting (TDMB) transmission system for multimedia broadcasting service and introduce a device called the Ensemble Remultiplexer which is designed to remultiplex the Ensemble Transport Interface (ETI) for T-DMB service. This letter describes the remultiplexing process of the Ensemble Remultiplexer.

This paper presents a system-on-a-chip (SOC) design for digital TV. The single LSI incorporates almost all essential parts such as CPU, ISO/IEC 11172/13818 system/audio/video decoders, a video post-processor, a graphics/OSD processor and a display processor. It has analog IP's inside such as video DACs, an audio PLL, and a system PLL to reduce the system-level implementation cost. Descramblers and Smart Card interface are included to support widely used conditional access systems. The video decoder can decode two video streams simultaneously. The DSP-based audio decoder can process various audio coding specifications. The functional blocks for video quality enhancement also form outstanding features of this SoC. The SoC supports world-wide major DTV services including ATSC, ARIB, DVB, and DIRECTV.

오디오 데이터는 주로 아날로그 방식 또는 간단한 프로토콜을 이용하여 전달되었다. 그러나 디지털 멀티미디어 기기들이 발전함에 따라 하나의 기기 안에 많은 오디오 디바이스들이 집적되었고 이에 따라 연결에 사용되는 개별선들의 개수가 많아져 복잡해졌다. 기존의 $I^2S$, PCM과 같은 오디오 인터페이스는 점대점 방식을 사용하여 디바이스의 연결이 많아질수록 버스 라인의 증가와 전력 소비가 커지게 된다. 본 논문에서는 2선만을 사용한 공통 버스방식의 디지털 오디오 인터페이스를 설계하여 선의 개수를 줄었으며, 또한 전력 소모를 줄일 수 있는 클록 기어라는 방법을 사용하였다. 버스의 전력 소비를 점대점 방식과 비교한 결과 최소 3개 이상의 오디오 디바이스를 사용할 경우 30% 이상의 전력 소모 감소 효과를 갖는다

항공용 인터콤 시스템은 정/부조종사 간 내부 통화 및 조종사와 승무원 간 내부 통화, 초고주파 무전기(U/VHF)와 같은 통신 장비를 통한 외부 통화, 초단파전방향거리탐지기/계기착륙장치(VOR/ILS), 전술 항법 장치(TACAN)와 같은 항법 및 임무 장비 오디오 신호 모니터링, 비행 데이터기록장치(FDR) 및 자료전송 시스템(DTS)으로의 음성 녹음용 오디오 신호 출력, 항공기의 상태와 위협 등에 대한 오디오 경고음/경고 음성 발생 등 항공기 내의 모든 음성 신호에 대한 처리를 담당하는 장비이다. 이러한 항공용 인터콤은 아날로그 오디오 신호의 경우 노이즈에 민감하기 때문에 조종사 및 승무원의 임무 수행을 위해 항공기 내/외부의 전자파 노이즈로부터 오디오 신호를 보호할 수 있는 이중화 설계가 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 항공용 디지털 인터콤의 이중화를 위한 정상/백업 운용모드 및 디지털 방식의 이중화 설계 방안과 제작 및 검증 결과에 대하여 기술한다.

본 논문에서는 최근에 연구되어 발표된 하나의 선을 사용하여 여러 채널의 음향 신호를 전송하는 기술인 다채널 직렬연결 스피커 시스템에 USB 인터페이스를 사용하여 PC 환경에서 보다 많은 채널의 음향 신호를 제어할 수 있는 시스템을 제시하였다. USB 호스트에서 음원 파일을 분석하고 처리한 후 전송 알고리즘에 맞게 패킷을 생성하여 오디오 데이터를 실시간으로 전송한다. 각 스피커에서는 해당하는 디지털 신호만을 검출하여 처리한 후 DAC를 통해 음향을 재생한다. 사용자는 PC에서 시스템을 GUI 환경을 통해서 쉽게 제어할 수 있다.

This paper presents a signal processing IC for digital HDTV, which is designed to operate in bunt-in HDW or in HD-set-top Box. The chip supports de-multiplexing an ISO/IEC 13818-1 MPEG-2 TS stream. It decodes MPEG-2 MP@HL video bitstream, and provides high-quality scaled video for display on HDTV monitor. The chip consists of ARM7TDMI for TS-Demux, PCI interface, Audio interface, MPEG2 MP@HL video decoder Display processor, Graphic processor, Memory controller, Audio int3face, Smart Card interface and UART. It is fabricated using Sam sung's 0.18-um and the package of 492-pin BGA is used.
