Recent activation of DMB has enabled various high quality video, audio and data services. And there are various user facilities functions using digital data transmission. One of the various user facilities functions is EPG(Electronic Program Guide). EPG supports schedule of programs on screen for. audiences. EPG is composed to time, title, channel, genre etc. Users can select a program what they want to browsing. Currently EPG services are displaying program schedule on screen visually and make users to input ke:ywords with keypads, remote control devices or touch screen etc. However, this approach could cause a serious restriction to some users like to drivers or visually handicapped persons. A standard for a voice EPG to T-DMB is proposed. This method must be transferred VoiceXML based EPG files from the transmitter to receivers. This approach has a problem to process a standardization because the transmitter and receivers should be modified. We proposed and implemented a voice EPG platform that generates the voice EPG files from T-DMB SI without transferring voice EPG file from the transmitter.

The Digital Multimedia Broadcasting(DMB) system is developed to offer high quality audio-visual multimedia contents to the uses by the various portable terminals in the mobile environment. Integrated complex reception platform is required to receive multimedia broadcasting services transmitted from various transmission media. In this paper, we present the design and implementation technic for providing the both of terrestrial and satellite DMB services simultaneously using the same hardware platform. The implemented complex receiving terminal to accommodate these DMB services simultaneously need composed of it RF module. it baseband module, it complex control module and the complex de-multiplexer module. The complex control module is designed using uClinux operating system. The complex de-multiplexer, which perform the functions of the address decoder and each DMB stream de-multiplexer, is implemented. with FPGA device. The implemented platform is tested in a real environment and its performance is satisfied with required performance criteria.

기존의 아날로그 TV 방송 환경과 달리 디지털 방송에서는 상향채널(return channel)을 이용한 양방향 데이터 방송서비스를 통하여 다양한 부가 정보를 제공할 수 있다. 이러한 데이터 방송 서비스에서는 기존의 오디오/비디오 방송 프로그램 이외에 방송과 관련된 데이터 또는 방송과는 직접 관련이 없는 순수한 데이터를 제공하게 된다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 양방향 데이터 방송 서비스를 위해 데이터 방송 프로토콜인 데이터/객체 캐러셀(Carousel) 규격을 이용한 데이터 관리를 목적으로 하는 관리자의 구조를 제안하고, 설계함으로서 DTV용 컨텐츠 제작을 지원할 수 있다. 이러한 DTV용 컨텐츠 응용기술은 PID(패킷 ID)를 이용한 MPEG2-TS 데이터 방송에서 데이터 관리자를 이용해서 구현할 수 있다.

MPEG-7은 디지털 영상과 오디오와 같은 멀티미디어 데이터에 대한 구조와 의미 정보를 제공해 줌으로써, 정보를 효율적으로 검색하고 탐색하는데 도움을 주고 있다. 본 논문에서는 MPEG-7 기반의 메타데이터 편집할 수 있는 소프트웨어 시스템을 소개하고자 하며 이는 대화형 컨텐츠제작시에 필요한 메타데이터의 편집에 필요한 기술 및 전체 프레임웍을 제공한다. 본 연구에서 개발한 시스템은 MPEG-7 DDL을 기반으로 하는 메타데이터 생성, 편집, 저장 기능, MPEG1, 2 동영상을 기반으로 하는 동영상의 메타데이터 편집 기능, 그리고 편집과정 전체를 브라우징 할 수 있는 기능도 제공한다.

OFDM(Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing) 전송방식은 SCM(Single Carrier Modulation)에 비해 우수한 여러 가지 장점들을 가지며, 방송시스템들 중 Eureka 147 DAB(Digital Audio Broadcasting) 시스템에 가장 먼저 채택되었다. 그러나 OFDM 신호의 높은 PAPR(Peak-to-Average Power Ratio) 특성은 D/A, A/D 변환기의 복잡도를 높이고, 고출력 증폭기의 효율성을 감소시키는 원인이 된다. 이를 개선하기 위한 방법 중에, SDT(Signal Distortion Technique)는 전송시스템의 규격 및 수신기의 변경 없이도 적용 가능하다는 장점을 갖는다. 본 논문에서는 SDT에 속하는 companding 기법을 Eureka 147 DAB 시스템에 적용하여 PAPR 개선정도에 따른 시스템의 요구 $E_2/N_0$ 및 out-of-band의 PSD 열화 정도를 분석하였으며, 이를 clipping 기법의 성능과 비교하였다. 모의실험 결과, $\mu$값이 2인 경우, companding 기법이 PAPR, $E_2/N_0$, out-of-band의 PSD 특성 모두에서 clipping 기법에 비해 우수한 성능을 나타냈다. 또한 $\mu$ 값을 고정시킨 경우, 정규화 값이 증가할수록 신호왜곡 정도가 줄어들어 $E_2/N_0$, out-of-band의 PSD 성능개선 정도는 증가하지만, 이와는 반대로 PAPR 값은 개선 정도가 줄어들었다.

DAB(Digital Audio Broadcasting)는 고품질의 오디오뿐만 아니라 멀티미디어 데이터 서비스를 제공할 수 있는 새로운 국제표준이다. 본 논문에서는 Eureka-147 DAB를 통해 멀티미디어 데이터를 효율적으로 전송하기 위한 방안으로 DAB의 다중화 구조와 MPEG-2와 MPEG-4 시스템 규격을 이용하여 미디어들 간의 동기화와 다중화 기능을 제공할 수 있는 전송프레임 구조를 제안하고, 실험을 통하여 각 프레임 구조에 대한 성능을 비교·평가하였다. 특히 DAB의 다중화와 중복되는 MPEG 시스템의 기능을 제거하여 다중화 프레임 구조의 효율성을 향상시키는 방안들을 제시하고, 이를 비교·분석하였다. 또한 구현한 시스템을 이용하여 멀티미디어데이터를 다양한 환경의 채널을 통해 전송할 때 전송 오류의 영향을 측정하고 평가하였다.

This study was conducted to investigate the effect of weaning period on the vocalization frequency of Hanwoo calf. Twelve Hanwoo calves were allocated into 4 groups, control (forced weaning on 90days) and treatment (weaning on 70, 90 and 120days with 5 adaptation days). After weaning, behavior and vocalization of Hanwoo calves were recorded on 3 consecutive days with closed circuit television (DTC-R5254, Digite Co., Ltd., Korea) and digital audio tape recorder (SR-900, Idamtech Co., Ltd., Korea). Vocalization frequency of Hanwoo calf were not significance difference with control and treatment group. Thus, additional studies of feed intake and body weight gain were needed to determine the weaning period of Hanwoo calves.

본 논문에서는 비교적 간단한 설계기법과 효율적인 디자인 기술을 사용하여 방송용 8.4" LCD 모니터를 개발하였다. 소형화 기술, 혼성 비디오신호 처리기술, 하나의 포트에 다종의 HD 시그널을 구현하는 기술, 기판제작에 있어서의 디지털 신호와 아날로그 신호의 분리기법과 타겟 보드에 맞는 오디오 신호 처리기술 등이 본연구의 주 연구 대상이다. 제안된 다용도의 8.4" LCD 모니터는 방송용으로 고안하여 제작하였으므로 해당 분야에서의 활용에 있어서의 효율이 기대된다.

The main attractant of portable multimedia player(PMP), is often their versatility : being able to load and play different formats of video, audio, digital images, and interactive media. In this paper, we investigate the factors influencing the usage the PMP, based on the extended version of the Technology Acceptance Model. Using the data collected from online survey, we show that perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, and perceived enjoyment are the major determinants for using PMP. Factors, including ubiquitousness, community, and image are shown to directly or indirectly determine the level of perceived usefulness and ease of uses. In addition, we classify PMP users into two groups, users seeking hedonic value and utilitarian value, and examine the differences in path coefficients. Properties of the causal paths, including standardized path coefficients, the significance of difference, in the hypothesized model, are also presented, so that we can investigate the relative influences of different dominants, demonstrating how two groups differ in their decision-making processes regarding the PMP usage.

광학헤드는 디지털 오디오 및 비디오 장치의 핵심부품으로서 일반 가전제품에서부터 컴퓨터 기억장치 및 게임기까지 광범위하게 응용되고 있으며, 광미디어의 수요가 확대됨에 따라 그 수요도 급속도로 증가되는 추세이다. 본 논문에서는 광학헤드의 핵심 구성요소인 포커스 및 트랙킹 서보용 2축 구동부를 와이어 부동형 외팔보 형태로 설계하고, 시뮤레이션 및 시제작 특성 분석을 통하여 그 설계 타당성을 검증하였다. 또한, 시제작 특성 분석을 통하여, 설계상의 원인외에 2축 구동부의 성능에 악영향을 미치는 조립공정의 인자를 파악하였다.
