This study primarily aims at identifying what factors significantly affect the diffusion of knowledge management systems(KMS) and finding out how these identified factors can be effectively managed, especially for Korean companies. The research model is derived based on previous researches on innovation diffusion, information systems implementation, and KMS. The model is used to examine the role of determinants in influencing the extent to which KMS is diffused within organizations. Independent variables of this research are composed of technical characteristics, organizational characteristics and environmental characteristics. 'Breadth of diffusion' and 'depth of diffusion' concept are used to measure the extent of KMS diffusion which is the dependent variable of this model. The 101 companies of total 1,000 samples responded to the survey. To analyze tile results of this empirical study, we performed the multiple regression analysis. As a result, it was shown that the relative advantage, complexity, information system maturity, size, top management support, champion, competitive pressure have influences on both the breadth and the depth diffusions. On the other hand, the organizational culture, valuation and compensation, and uncertainty of environmental factors were not verified to be significant. This empirical study will provide Korean companies with insights into effective ways to diffuse the KMS and succeed in business competition.
Hygroscopic knitted cotton fabric was found to spontaneously absorb water showing a significantly wide concentration gradient in the absorption direction. A semi-empirical diffusion model was introduced to describe how the wicking behavior compared to the classical capillary model (Washburn's equation), which has been widely used in the textiles industry. The capillary sorption curve and the permeability coefficient, which are key variables for the model equations, were measured using an electronic balance. The concentration profile as a function of the wicking distance and the elapsed time was derived, based on the diffusion model. From the concentration profile, the wicking distance detectable by the human eye or a digital camera with the aid of an image-analysis system, could be described realistically as a function of the time. The classical capillary model could be modified by introducing the tortuous correction factor to match the diffusion model. Wicking models and data-processing techniques in the work could provide useful tools for objectively evaluating the textile's wicking performances.
In this paper, we formed the shallow junction by preamorphization and low energy ion implantation. And a simulator is designed for predicting the annealing process results. Especially, if considered the applicable to single step annealing process(RTA, FA) and dual step annealing process(RTA+FA, FA+RTA). In this simulation, the ion implantation model and the boron diffusion model are used. The Monte Carlo model is used for the ion implantation. Boron diffusion model is based on pair diffusion at nonequilibrium condition. And we considered that the BI-pairs lead the diffusion and the boron activation and clustering reaction. Using the boundary condition and initial condition, the diffusion equation is solved successfully. The simulator is made ofC language and reappear the experimental data successfully.

In this paper we suggest two novel methods for an implementation of the spot detection phase in the 2-DE gel image analysis program. The one is the adaptive thresholding method for eliminating noises and the other is the asymmetric diffusion model for spot matching. Remained noises after the preprocessing phase cause the over-segmentation problem by the next segmentation phase. To identify and exclude the over-segmented background regions, il we use a fixed thresholding method that is choosing an intensity value for the threshold, the spots that are invisible by one's human eyes but mean very small amount proteins which have important role in the biological samples could be eliminated. Accordingly we suggest the adaptive thresholding method which comes from an idea that is got on statistical analysis for the prominences of the peaks. There are the Gaussian model and the diffusion model for the spot shape model. The diffusion model is the closer to the real spot shapes than the Gaussian model, but spots have very various and irregular shapes and especially asymmetric formation in x-coordinate and y-coordinate. The reason for irregularity of spot shape is that spots could not be diffused perfectly across gel medium because of the characteristics of 2-DE process. Accordingly we suggest the asymmetric diffusion model for modeling spot shapes. In this paper we present a brief explanation ol the two methods and experimental results.
A one site chemotherapy agent-diffusion model is proposed which accounts for diffusion of chemotherapy agent, normal and cancer cells. It is shown that, by controlling the initial conditions, consequently an initial dose of the chemotherapy agent, the system is guaranteed to evolute towards a target equilibrium state. Or, growth of the normal cells occurs against decay of the cancer cells. Effects of diffusion of chemotherapy-agent and cells are investigated through numerical computations of the concentrations in square and triangular cancer sites.
In order to analyze the densification behaviour of stainless steel powder compacts during hot isostatic pressing (HIP) at elevated temperatures, a power-law creep constitutive model based on the plastic deformation theory for porous materials was applied to the densification. Various densification mechanisms including interparticle boundary diffusion, grain boundary diffusion and lattice diffusion mechanisms were incorporated in the constitutive model, as well. The power-law creep model in conjunction with various diffusion models was applied to the HIP process of 316L stainless steel powder compacts under 50 and 100 MPa at 1125 $!`\acute{\dot{E}}$. The results of the calculations were verified using literature data It could be found that the contribution of the diffusional mechanisms is not significant under the current process conditions.
The nonlinear humidity distribution occurs due to the moisture diffusion when a concrete is exposed to an ambient air. These nonlinear humidity distribution induces shrinkage cracks on surfaces of the concrete. Because shrinkage cracks largely affect the durability and serviceability of concrete structures, the moisture diffusion in concrete must be investigated. The purpose of this paper is to propose a model of the moisture diffusion coefficient that governs moisture diffusion within concrete structures. To propose the model, numerical analysis were performed based on several experiments. Because the moisture diffusion coefficient is changed with aging, especially at early ages, the proposed model includes aging effect by terms of the porosity as well as the humidity of concrete.

A spatio-temporal models as systems of ODE which describe two-species Beddington - DeAngelis type predator-prey system living in a habitat of two identical patches linked by migration is investigated. It is assumed in the model that the per capita migration rate of each species is influenced not only by its own but also by the other one's density, i.e. there is cross diffusion present. We show that a standard (self-diffusion) system may be either stable or unstable, a cross-diffusion response can stabilize an unstable standard system and destabilize a stable standard system. For the diffusively stable model, numerical studies show that at a critical value of the bifurcation parameter the system undergoes a Turing bifurcation and the cross migration response is an important factor that should not be ignored when pattern emerges.
Among emerging devices propelling the growth of mobile devices, smartphones and tablet-PCs are among the most recognizable. In this study, a research model is designed for exploring acceptance-diffusion strategies for tablet-PCs from the viewpoint of consumer perception, which is verified through a survey. The results of this study show that tablet-PCs have great potential to be versatile, multifunctional devices, even though they are currently considered mostly as entertainment-oriented rather than fulfilling the essential needs of everyday life. An analysis of the acceptance model for tablet-PCs revealed that playability, cost level, functionality, and complexity significantly affect user acceptance. An analysis of the diffusion model, on the other hand, showed that playability and user interface have a significant influence on satisfaction, trust, and positive behavioral intention. We also found that cost level is not a major hindrance in the market diffusion of tablet-PCs. The results of this study can be used to establish effective acceptance and diffusion strategies for tablet-PCs and other emerging devices.
Shallow $p^+-n$ junctions were formed by ion implantation and dual-step annealing processes. The dopant implantation was performed into the crystalline substrates using BF$_2$ ions. The annealing was performed with a rapid thermal processor and a furnace. FA+RTA annealing sequence exhibited better junction characteristics than RTA+FA thermal cycle from the viewpoint of junction depth and sheet resistance. A new simulator is designed to model boron diffusion in silicon. The model which is used in this simulator takes into account nonequilibrium diffusion, reactions of point defects, and defect-dopant pairs considering their charge states, and the dopant inactivation by introducing a boron clustering reaction. Using initial conditions and boundary conditions, coupled diffusion equations are solved successfully. The simulator reproduced experimental data successfully.
