  • This research suggests the keyword filtering about disaster and the method of detecting area in real-time event detecting system by analyzing contents of twitter. The diffusion of smart-mobile has lead to a fast spread of SNS and nowadays, various researches based on studying SNS are being processed. Among SNS, the twitter has a characteristic of fast diffusion since it is written in 140 words of short paragraph. Therefore, the tweets that are written by twitter users are able to perform a role of sensor. By using these features the research has been constructed which detects the events that have been occurred. However, people became reluctant to open their information of location because it is reported that private information leakage are increasing. Also, problems associated with accuracy are occurred in process of analyzing the tweet contents that do not follow the spelling rule. Therefore, additional designing keyword filtering and the method of area detection on detecting real-time event process were required in order to develop the accuracy. This research suggests the method of keyword filtering about disaster and two methods of detecting area. One is the method of removing area noise which removes the noise that occurred in the local name words. And the other one is the method of determinating the area which confirms local name words by using landmarks. By applying the method of keyword filtering about disaster and two methods of detecting area, the accuracy has improved. It has improved 49% to 78% by using the method of removing area noise and the other accuracy has improved 49% to 89% by using the method of determinating the area.

  • A numerical scheme that incorporates a self-consistent cosmic-ray (CR, hereafter) injection model into the combined gas dynamics and CR diffusion-convection code has been developed. The hydro/CR code can follow in a very cos-effective way the evolution of CR modified shocks by adopting subzone shock-tracking and multi-level Adaptive Mesh Refinement techniques. The injection model is based on interactions of the suprathermal particles with self-generated MHD waves in quasi-parallel shocks. The particle injection is followed numerically by filtering the diffusive flux of suprathermal particles across the shock to upstream region according to a velocity-dependent transparency function, which represents the fraction of leaking suprathermal particles. In the strong shock limit of Mach numbers $\ge$20, significant physical processes such as the injection and acceleration seem to become independent of M, while they are sensitively dependent on M for M < 10. Although some particles injected early in the evolution continue to be accelerated to higher energies, the postshock CR pressure reaches a time asymptotic value due to balance between acceleration and diffusion of the CR particles.

  • This paper introduces a real-time face swapping system that enables video influencers to swap their faces with arbitrary generated face images of their choice. The system is implemented as a Django-based server that uses a REST request to communicate with the generative model, specifically the pretrained stable diffusion model. Once generated, the generated image is displayed on the front page so that the influencer can decide whether to use the generated face or not, by clicking on the accept button on the front page. If they choose to use it, both their face and the generated face are sent to the landmark extraction module to extract the landmarks, which are then used to swap the faces. To minimize the fluctuation of landmarks over time that can cause instability or jitter in the output, a temporal filtering step is added. Furthermore, to increase the processing speed the system works on a reduced set of the extracted landmarks.

  • This paper is to propose a method to enhance the connectivity of the broken structures. The pixels to be connected are found by a decision rule which is based on the intensity and gradient information of the neighboring pixels. The intensity of the pixel, if it is decided to be filled, is increased so that the pixel together with its neighbors looks connected. The anisotropic diffusion follows to make the connected structural region look more natural. The same structure matrices have been used both to get gradient information and to decide the direction of diffusion to improve the computational speed. It has been shown by the experiments on the real ultrasound images that the broken structural regions can be connected by the proposed method.

  • This paper describes a technique for detecting the boundary of the optic disk in digital image of the retina using inward and outward curve evolution. Optic disk boundary offers medical information about glaucoma progresses. For accurate boundary detection, image inpainting based on PDE removes blood vessels crossing the optic disk. For removing noises and preserving boundary of optic disk in image inpainting process, the anisotropic diffusion filtering is developed. After pre-processing, the optic disk boundary is determined using inward and outward curve evolution. Experimental results show that blurring effect of original region and optic disk boundary is reduced considerably. By the proposed method, we can detect correct disk boundary compare to conventional method.

  • This Paper proposes an adaptive error diffusioThis paper proposes an adaptive error diffusion algorithm for text enhancement followed by an efficient text segmentation that uses the maximum gradient difference (MGD). The gradients are calculated along with scan lines, and the MGD values are filled within a local window to merge the potential text segments. Isolated segments are then eliminated in the non-text region filtering process. After the left segmentation, a conventional error diffusion method is applied to the background, while the edge enhancement error diffusion is used for the text. Since it is inevitable that visually objectionable artifacts are generated when using two different halftoning algorithms, the gradual dilation is proposed to minimize the boundary artifacts in the segmented text blocks before halftoning. Sharpening based on the gradually dilated text region (GDTR) prevents the printing of successive dots around the text region boundaries. The error diffusion algorithm with edge enhancement is extended to halftone color images to sharpen the tort regions. The proposed adaptive error diffusion algorithm involves color halftoning that controls the amount of edge enhancement using a general error filter. The multiplicative edge enhancement parameters are selected based on the amount of edge sharpening and color difference. Plus, the additional error factor is introduced to reduce the dot elimination artifact generated by the edge enhancement error diffusion. By using the proposed algorithm, the text of a scanned image is sharper than that with a conventional error diffusion without changing background.

  • Parallel imaging technique can provide several advantages for a multitude of MRI applications. Especially, in SENSE technique, sensitivity maps were always required in order to determine the reconstruction matrix, therefore, a number of difference approaches using sensitivity information from coils have been demonstrated to improve of image quality. Moreover, many filtering methods were proposed such as adaptive matched filter and nonlinear diffusion technique to optimize the suppression of background noise and to improve of image quality. In this study, we performed SENSE reconstruction using computer simulations to confirm the most suitable method for the feasibility of filtering effect and according to changing order of polynomial fit that were applied on variation of spatial resolution of sensitivity map. The image was obtained at 0.32T(Magfinder II, Genpia, Korea) MRI system using spin-echo pulse sequence(TR/TE = 500/20 ms, FOV = 300 mm, matrix = $128{\times}128$, thickness = 8 mm). For the simulation, obtained image was multiplied with four linear-array coil sensitivities which were formed of 2D-gaussian distribution and the image was complex white gaussian noise was added. Image processing was separated to apply two methods which were polynomial fitting and filtering according to spatial resolution of sensitivity map and each coil image was subsampled corresponding to reduction factor(r-factor) of 2 and 4. The results were compared to mean value of geomety factor(g-factor) and artifact power(AP) according to r-factor 2 and 4. Our results were represented while changing of spatial resolution of sensitivity map and r-factor, polynomial fit methods were represented the better results compared with general filtering methods. Although our result had limitation of computer simulation study instead of applying to experiment and coil geometric array such as linear, our method may be useful for determination of optimal sensitivity map in a linear coil array.

  • Accurate facial expression recognition (FER) requires reliable signal filtering and the effective feature extraction. Considering these requirements, this paper presents a novel approach for FER which is robust to noise. The main contributions of this work are: First, to preserve texture details in facial expression images and remove image noise, we improved the anisotropic diffusion filter by adjusting the diffusion coefficient according to two factors, namely, the gray value difference between the object and the background and the gradient magnitude of object. The improved filter can effectively distinguish facial muscle deformation and facial noise in face images. Second, to further improve robustness, we propose a new feature descriptor based on a combination of the Histogram of Oriented Gradients with the Canny operator (Canny-HOG) which can represent the precise deformation of eyes, eyebrows and lips for FER. Third, Canny-HOG's block and cell sizes are adjusted to reduce feature dimensionality and make the classifier less prone to overfitting. Our method was tested on images from the JAFFE and CK databases. Experimental results in L-O-Sam-O and L-O-Sub-O modes demonstrated the effectiveness of the proposed method. Meanwhile, the recognition rate of this method is not significantly affected in the presence of Gaussian noise and salt-and-pepper noise conditions.

  • A high-speed image processor (HIP) is implemented for a high-speed multi-function peripheral. HIP has a binarization architecture with unified data path. It has the pixel-by-pixel pipelined processing to minimize size of the external memory. It performs pre-processing such as shading correction, automatic gain control (AGC), and gamma correction, and also drives external CCD or CIS modules. The pre-processed data can be enlarged or reduced. Various binarizatin algorithms can be processed in the unified archiecture. The embedded binarization algorithms are simple thresholding, high pass filtering, dithering, error diffusion, and thershold modulated error diffusion. These binarization algorithms are unified based on th threshold modulated error diffusion. The data path is designed to share the common functional block of the binarization algorithms. The complexity of the controls and the gate counts is greatly reduced with this novel architecture.

  • Information sharing behavior in the Internet has raised much interest. Recently, social network sites provide a new information sharing channel for the users who want to connect with others based on common social background or tastes. Especially, we focus that a social network site becomes one of major routes for information sharing about socially influential issues. Therefore, studying how information is diffused via a social network site may give theoretically, practically significant implication. Based on the assertion, we investigated user's behavior to mediate other user's information messages. We define information mediating behavior as concurrent actions of filtering and distributing behavior of the digital content that is originated from one of the connected users. In this study, we intended to understand the effects of information mediating behavior, and tried to understand characteristics of re-mediating of previously mediated information. Using an agent-based simulation model, we found that information mediating behavior increased the extent of information diffusion significantly. In addition, even a small degree of mediating probability could boost up the level of information diffusion in the case of a re-mediating condition. We believe that those findings provide remarkable insight of research and business application on both of information sharing and diffusion in a social network site.
