Ultrafast and flexible UV photodetector based on NiO

  • The flexible solid state device has been widely studied as portable and wearable device applications such as display, sensor and curved circuits. A zero-bias operation without any external power consumption is a highly-demanding feature of semiconductor devices, including optical communication, environment monitoring and digital imaging applications. Moreover, the flexibility of device would give the degree of freedom of transparent electronics. Functional and transparent abrupt p/n junction device has been realized by combining of p-type NiO and n-type ZnO metal oxide semiconductors. The use of a plastic polyethylene terephthalate (PET) film substrate spontaneously allows the flexible feature of the devices. The functional design of p-NiO/n-ZnO metal oxide device provides a high rectifying ratio of 189 to ensure the quality junction quality. This all transparent metal oxide device can be operated without external power supply. The flexible p-NiO/n-ZnO device exhibit substantial photodetection performances of quick response time of $68{\mu}s$. We may suggest an efficient design scheme of flexible and functional metal oxide-based transparent electronics.

  • In the manufacturing of VLSI circuits, variations of device characteristics due to the slight differences in process parameters drastically aggravate the performances of fabricated devices. Therefore, it is very important to establish optimal process conditions in order to minimize deviations of device characteristics. In this paper, we used one-dimensional process simulator, SUPREM-II, and two dimensional device simulator, MINIMOS 4.0 in order to extract optimal process parameter which can minimize changes of the device characteristics caused by process parameter variation in the case of short channel nMOSFET and pMOSFET device. From this simulation, we have derived the dependence relations between process parameters and device characteristics. Here, we have suggested a method to extract process parameters from design trend curve(DTC) obtained by these dependence relations. And we have discussed short channel effects and device limitations by scaling down MOSFET dimensions.

  • This paper proposes a single sign-on scheme in which a mobile user offers his credential information to a home network running the OSGi (Open Service Gateway Initiative) service platform, to obtain user authentication and control a remote device through a mobile device using this authentication scheme, based on SAML (Security Assertion Markup Language). Especially by defining the single sign-on profile to overcome the handicap of the low computing and memory capability of the mobile device, we provide a clue to applying automated user authentication to control a remote device via a mobile device for distributed mobile environments such as a home network based on OSGi.

수송 트레일러의 충격흡수장치 개발(II) - 동력경운기 연결 히치 - (Development of Vibration Absorption Device for the Transportation-Trailer System(II) - Connecting Hitch for Power Tiller-Trailer -)

  • The improved hitch device, which connecting the trailer to power tiller, was developed. This device, composed with spring and rubber, could reduce the vibration and shock levels during driven on off-road. The vertical vibration accelerations for the improved hitch device were measured at 6 positions, i.e. engine, hitch, seat, and three points in trailer (front, middle, and rear) for not driving but at low engine speed of 500 rpm, and compared with the existing hitch device. The results of this study could be summarized as follows; The average vibration acceleration up to 120 Hz was $0.4m/s^2$ at engine part, but it was 0.08 and $0.05m/s^2$ at trailer for existing and improved hitch device, respectively. About $38\%$ of average acceleration level could be absorbed for the improved hitch device compared with existing hitch device. The average vibration acceleration up to 40 Hz was reduced to 0.12 and $0.06m/s^2$ at trailer for existing and improved hitch device respectively, showing the reduction effect of $50\%$. The maximum acceleration occurred at up to 20 Hz of low frequency was much higher than total acceleration occurred at up to 120 Hz, which means that much loss or damage could be occurred during transporting of agricultural products on off-road. The portions of average acceleration occurred at up to 20 Hz of low frequency were $27\%\;and\;21\%$ for the existing and improved hitch device, respectively.

국내 의료기기 제조업체의 ISO13485:2016 교육 프로그램 개발 및 교육 효과 연구 (A Study on the Development and Effectiveness of ISO13485:2016 Education Programs for Domestic Medical Device Manufacturers)

  • Purpose: As ISO 13485 was revised in 2016, the domestic GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) system was also revised and implemented in 2019. However, there are many problems in the domestic medical device industry because most of the small and medium-sized enterprises lack human and material resources. Accordingly, this study was conducted to provide education programs for domestic medical device companies to induce information provision and improve the company's quality management ability. Methods: First, analyze existing education. Second, based on the revised GMP system, a survey paper was produced to investigate difficulties and problems experienced by companies. Third, a two-week survey was conducted on domestic medical device manufacturers, and a total of 77 companies responded to this survey. Fourth, educational program development was conducted based on the results of the survey. Results and Conclusion: The developed education program consists of a total of five sessions. In this study, the educational program developed by grasping the needs of the company through a survey consists of a total of five sessions. The first session consisted of theoretical education and the second to fifth sessions of practical education. Through the education program developed in this study, it is expected to contribute to the overall development of medical device quality by establishing a domestic medical device manufacturing environment that secures the safety and performance of domestic medical device companies.

  • In this paper, a method to implement new Quasi-SOI LDMOSFET is introduced and the electrical characteristics of the device are studied. Key process steps of the device are explained briefly. By performing process and device simulations, electrical characteristics of the device are investigated, with emphasis on the optimization of the tilt angle of p$\^$0/ channel region. The electrical properties of the Quasi-SOI device are compared with those of bulk and SOI devices with the same process parameters. Simulated device characteristics are threshold voltage, off-state leakage current, subthreshold swing, DIBL, output resistance, lattice temperature, I$\_$D/-V$\_$Ds/, and cut-off frequency.

  • Hot carrier induced device degradation is observed in thin-film, gate-all-around SOI transistor under DC stress conductions. We observed the more significant device degradation in GAA device than general single gate SOI device due to the degradation of edge transistor. Therefore, it is expected that the maximum available supply voltage of GAA transistor is lower than that o( bulk MOSFET or single gale SOI device.

노인복지용구의 품목 및 서비스의 만족도와 요구도에 대한 연구:노인장기요양보험 등급 인정자를 중심으로 (Study on Needs and Satisfaction of Service Related to Assistive Device and Assistive Device for Long-Term Care Elderly : Focused on Beneficiary Older Adults People in Long-term Care Insurance)

  • 본 연구는 노인 장기요양보험 등급 인정자들의 노인복지용구 품목과 서비스에 대한 만족도와 요구도를 조사함으로써 복지용구의 개선방안을 제시하고자 한다. 자료수집은 D광역시와 I시에 위치한 재가복지서비스 시설을 이용하는 노인 장기요양보험 등급자 184명 대상으로 실시하였다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS 20.0을 이용하여 기술통계 분석을 하였다. 연구결과, 인지지원 등급자를 제외한 대상자들은 복지용구 품목과 서비스에는 보통에서 만족하는 경향을 보였다. 1등급과 2등급 인정자들은 자조관리를 돕는 품목, 3등급에서 5등급 및 인지지원 등급자들은 건강관리 및 안전에 관련된 품목에 대한 요구도를 보였다. 복지용구 서비스에서는 모든 장기요양보험 등급 인정자들이 주기적인 추후관리 서비스, 복지용구 전문가 및 전문 인력 교육훈련 그리고 체계적인 평가를 필요로 하였다. 본 연구는 기존의 복지용구관련 선행연구와 달리 장기요양보험등급별 복지용구 품목에 대한 요구도를 세부적으로 제시했다는 점에서 의의가 있다고 할 수 있다. 추후 본 연구결과가 복지용구 품목 및 서비스와 관련한 제도개선에 기초적인 자료로 활용되기를 기대해본다.

새로운 ICT 기반 서비스에 대한 연구 : N-디바이스 스마트교육 서비스를 중심으로 (A Study on the novel ICT baced Services : Focused on N-Device Smart Education Services)

  • A novel concept of ICT based service, which is called N-device service, is proposed and implemented in the form of N-device smart education services. The N-device services are different from the existing N-screen services in terms of the number of devices a user is using for a specific service at the same time. A N-device service consists of several smart devices which are different in size, software and hardware platform, mobility, manufacturer and the like by fully utilizing the characteristic of each device. The major and unique features of N-device services are analyzed and depicted in a strict way. Those are shared role for each device, service by configurable device, one sensor multiple use, real-time data sharing, role shifting and new market creation. It is turned out that the N-device service is more human centric compared with existing ICT based services and can give richer digital experience to users because non-existent services become possible with the new concept. However, there exist several barriers to be implemented and commercialized in the real world. Those include high development cost and time, small market and different application platforms of devices. These barriers can be overcome by technical advances and cooperation between relevant parties. The smart education is very prominent area, in which the novel concept can be applied with high priority because Korean government announced its plan to boost up new educational services with big budget and these are acceptable by enthusiastic Korean parents and students. That's why the N-device service is implemented in the education area, which is called as "livessam(live teacher)," with four smart devices, IPTV, tablet PC, PC and smart phone. By providing both detailed service scenario and techniques, we shows that the novel education service is technically feasible and acceptable by teachers and students.

수면안대와 귀마개 적용이 중환자실 관상동맥질환자의 수면양상에 미치는 효과 (Effects of Eye Protective Device and Ear Protective Device Application on Sleep Disorder with Coronary Disease Patients in CCU)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this research was to analyze the effects of an eye protective device and ear protective device application on sleep disorder with coronary disease patients in CCU. Methods: The research design was set up as a nonequivalent control group non-synchronized design. The subjects were coronary disease patients in the CCU of a tertiary hospital. The subjects were composed of 20 in the group with an eye protective device, 18 in the group with an ear protective device, 17 in the group with an eye protective device and ear protective device and 20 in the control group. The data was analyzed by $X^2-test$, ANOVA, Repeated measures ANOVA, Sheffe-test, Simple main effect and Time contrast using SPSS Win 12.0. Results: The hypothesis, 'There are significant differences in sleep quantity among the four groups' was supported (F=1,342.71, p=.000). The hypothesis, 'There are significant differences in the subjective evaluation of the general sleep patterns among the four groups' was supported (F=3,638.73, p=.000). In addition the hypothesis, 'There are significant differences in degree of sleep among the four groups' was supported (F=1,616.61, p=.000). Conclusion: It is cost effective and a simple eye protective device and ear protective device should be applied to patients according to their preference and characteristics in the clinical setting.
