Distribution of Certain Chlorobenzenes in Seawater from Youngil Bay, Korea

  • Surface seawater was sampled from 20 stations in Youngil Bay, Korea in November 2000. The samples were analyzed for eight chlorobenzenes(CBs) out of a total of 12 in the congener series using a gas chromatography coupled to a mass spectrometer detector(GC/MSD). The total CB levels varied from 1.3 to 6.1 ng/L with a mean of 4.0 ng/L. Trichlorobenzene groups (sum of 1,3,5-, 1,2,4-, and 1,2,3-trichlorobenzene) were the predominant class among the four congener groups, while tetrachlorobenzenes(sum of 1,2,3,5-, 1,2,4,5-, and 1,2,3,4- tetrachlorobenzene) and pentachlorobenzene showed a low presence. The total CB levels exhibited similar patterns for all the stations. A significant positive correlation was observed between the individual CB compounds in the particulate samples, while the dissolved samples revealed a strong correlation between the heavier molecular weight CBs.

경관관련 제도변화에 따른 농촌경관계획의 발전방안 연구 (A Study on Development Direction for the Establishment of the Rural Landscape Planning)

  • The main contents of revision of the rural landscape planning according to Landscape Law discussed in this study show that the urban landscape and rural landscape have a propulsion system which integrate them into the national landscape and manages through the landscape planning. However, management and conservation reflecting the fundamental difference between urban and rural areas are needed. Planning the landscape by generalizing the size of the population, administrative district, the surface area does not meet the ultimate purpose of the Landscape Law that tries to establish differentiated local landscapes. Therefore, the association of professionals who can support and establish a propulsion system for landscape planning with the consideration of regional characteristics. For the urban landscape, the landscape committee is fulfilling the role, but none is available for the rural areas. This study is mostly based on previous literatures, however, in the future, it is desirable to have selected pilot areas for different landscape types and review problems that may occur during the application and process, in order to establish the landscape guidelines for the rural landscape plan.

지역주민(地域住民)의 자연환경태도(自然環境態度) 수준(水準)이 휴양림(休養林) 개발(開發) 지각(知覺)에 미치는 영향(影響) (Residents' Attitudes toward Natural Environment and Perceptions on Recreation Forest Development)

  • 본 연구는 휴양림 개발에 따른 지역 주민의 영향 지각이 그들의 자연환경태도 수준에 따라 차이가 있는지를 파악하고 이를 통해 휴양림 개발 이용 관리에 따른 지역주민간 이해 충돌 소지의 파악 방법으로 자연환경태도 정보 자료가 활용될 수 있는지를 살펴보기 위하여 수행되었다. 기존 연구 문헌을 참조하여 30개 지역 주민의 개발 영향 지각 및 의견 항목을 선정하였다. 자연환경태도 측정 조사는 NEP 척도 항목을 이용하였다. 1995년 10월, 2개 휴양림 인근 지역에 거주하고 있는 지역주민에 대한 직접 방문 조사를 통하여 총 204매의 설문 자료가 수집되었다. 일반적으로 대부분의 지역주민은 휴양림 개발에 대해 낮은 경제적 효과와 부정적 환경 영향을 지각하고 있었다. 자연환경태도 수준은 지역 주민의 사회경제적 변수에 따라 유의적 차이를 보였으며 특히 연령과 학력수준 변수에서 높은 유의적 차이가 인정되었다. 지역주민의 자연환경태도 수준은 휴양림 개발 지각에 영향을 주고 있었다. 본 연구 결과 자연환경태도는 휴양림 관리의 이해 충돌 해결에 유용한 도구로 활용될 수 있을 것으로 판단되었다.

새만금 개발사업이 해양환경에 미치는 영향에 대한 인식 (Public Attitudes to Saemangeum Development Project and Its Effects on Marine Environment)

  • 본 논문에서는 새만금 개발사업이 해양환경에 미치는 영향에 대한 국민들의 인식을 분석하였다. 이를 위해 새만금 인근지역인 전북 군산시, 김제시, 부안군 400가구 및 새만금 인근지역 외 전국 600가구 등 총 1,000가구를 대상으로 설문조사를 수행하여 얻은 결과를 분석하였다. 또한 새만금 개발사업의 경제적 효과 및 해양환경 영향을 동시에 고려할 때 새만금 개발사업에 대해 판단하는 공공의 태도에 영향을 미치는 요인을 분석하기 위해 서열프로빗 모형을 적용한 통계적 분석을 수행하였다. 인식조사 결과, 새만금 개발사업의 경제적 효과와 해양환경 영향을 동시에 고려할 때, 새만금 인근지역조사 및 전국조사 응답자의 70 % 이상이 새만금 개발사업을 반대하였다. 또한 설문조사 응답자의 90 % 이상이 새만금 방조제 외해역의 해양환경관리가 필요하다고 인식하고 있었다. 따라서 새만금 방조제 외해역 환경관리를 위한 적절한 대책이 마련되어야 할 것이다.

수직 이착륙 무인 항공기용 영상보정항법 시스템 성능평가를 위한 검증환경 개발 (Development of a Test Environment for Performance Evaluation of the Vision-aided Navigation System for VTOL UAVs)

  • 본 논문은 수직 이착륙 무인 항공시스템의 GPS (global positioning system) 불가 시 대체 항법 시스템으로의 영상보정항법 시스템을 시험하기 위한 검증환경 개발 내용을 소개한다. 개발 중인 영상보정항법 시스템의 시험 및 평가를 위해서는 가상 환경을 활용하는 것이 효율적이지만, 현재 국내에는 적합한 장비가 개발되어 있지 않다. 따라서 제안된 검증환경은 시험 대상 장비의 운용 환경을 모델링 및 시뮬레이션 하여 입력 신호를 생성하고, 출력 신호를 관측함으로써 대상 장비의 성능을 평가할 수 있도록 개발되었다. 연구 과정은 검증환경 요구도 생성, 검증환경 설계에서부터 구성품별 하드웨어 및 소프트웨어 설계, 제작까지 포괄적으로 기술되었다. 이를 바탕으로 제작된 검증환경을 개발 중인 영상기반 보정항법 알고리즘의 성능평가와 시뮬레이션 기반의 사전 비행시험 수행에 활용하였다.

휴대용 게임기를 이용한 공개 SW 기반 임베디드 소프트웨어 교육 IDE 환경 구성 (Implementation of Open Source Embedded Software Educational Integrated Development Environment Using Portable Game Console)

  • In this paper we describe the integrated development environment for embedded software education. Our environment uses a cheap and widely available portable game console, Nintendo DS-lite. We have integrated open source development tools, and have implemented download shell, remote debugger. The results are all open source, and were used for university class for real embedded software education.

  • 이어도 해양과학기지에서 해수중으로 청음기를 내려 2004년 7월에 3일간 연속적으로 수중 배경소음을 녹음 하였다. 측정된 주파수스펙트럼을 통계처리하고 또한 시계열 신호의 특성을 분석하였다. 해상 풍속도 관측하였다. 전체적으로 한반도 주변 해양의 배경소음에 비해 상대적으로 소음레벨이 작은 경향을 보였다.

하천그룹화 방법을 이용한 수질개선 하천유역의 우선순위 선정 (Selection Priority of Tributary Catchments for Improving Water Quality using Stream Grouping Method)

  • For effective watershed management, it is very important to select the tributaries through selection and concentration of targeted tributary catchments for improving water quality within the limited financial conditions. This study introduced the selection and diagnosis procedure of tributary catchments for improving water quality at Chungcheongnam-do based on water quality and flowrate monitoring, stream grouping method. The tributaries with high value of water quality and flowrate were selected for improving water quality according to stream grouping method. The diagnosis of selected tributaries for improving water quality was performed with analysis of the pollution load (generated, discharged, delivered) and point source discharged pollution load density. The plans for improving water quality of tributaries were suggested thorough various diagnosis of tributary catchments. For improving water quality of tributaries in Chungcheongnam-do, the tributary catchments in the Dangjin, Asan, Yesan, Cheonan, Hongseong area should be preferentially considered. The water quality improving plans for those tributary catchments, in accordance with the reduction of sources of pollution by population and livestock, should be established.

실내디자인 교육의 친환경 교육과정 현황에 관한 연구 -4년제 대학교의 교육과정을 중심으로- (A Study on the eco-friendly design curriculum in the interior design education - Focus on the curriculum of 4year Universities -)

  • The concern and recognition of the energy, environment, conservation of natural resources of the world today are raising, and sustainable development can't be considered in a way of separating development from environment any more. For sustainable development, a new educational infrastructure construction and paradigm coping with new environment through the whole education are needed. Accordingly, this research analyzed eco-friendly design curriculum among interior design major of 4year universities to help with reestablishing educational goal as a model for eco-friendly design curriculum development. According to this research, environment related subject were 91, the rate of 16.4% among total 1492 interior designs major, and among them, eco-friendly design related subjects were 15, which is the 6.4% of 91 environment related subjects, and which is 1.0% among total interior designs, through which we could see that eco-friendly design related subjects were very light weight in the total interior designs. So, the reasonable and concrete reform of eco-friendly design related subjects in 4year universities interior design curriculum seems to be urgent, and diverse eco-friendly design related subjects needed to be developed and established.

신환경영향평가기술(新環境影響評價技術)의 개발방향(開發方向) (New Environmental Impact Assessment Technology)

  • The purpose of this study is to identify the problems of environmental impact assessment(EIA) and to suggest new EIA technology. The problems of EIA in Korea can be summarized as follows. First, the EIA does not reflect the impact of policy, plan and program on environment. Second, the project EIA does not consider the cumulative impacts such as additive impacts, synergistic impacts, threshold/saturation impacts, induced and indirect impacts, time-crowded impacts, and space-crowded impacts. Third, the EIA techniques in Korea are not standardized. Finally, the present EIA suggests only alternatives to reduce adverse impacts. To solve above-mentioned problems, the development of new EIA technology is essential. First, the new EIA technology should be developed toward pollution prevention technology and comprehensive and integrated environmental management technology. Second, new fields of EIA for pollution prevention contain strategic environmental assessment, cumulative impacts assessment, socio-economic impact assessment, cyber EIA and EIA technology necessary after the reunification of Korean Peninsula. Third, EIA technology for integrated environmental management contains the development of integated environment assessment system and the development of packaged EIA technology. The EIA technology for integrated environmental assessment system contains (1) development of integrated impact assessment technology combining air/water quality model, GIS and remote sensing, (2) integrated impact assessment of EIA, traffic impact assessment, population impact assessment and disaster impact assessment. (3) development of integrated technology combining risk assessment and EIA (4) development of integrated technology of life cycle assessment and EIA, (5) development of integrated technology of spatial planning and EIA, (6) EIA technology for biodiversity towards sustainable development, (7) mathematical model and GIS based location decision techniques, and (8) environmental monitoring and audit. Furthermore, there are some fields which need packaged EIA technology. In case of dam development, urban or industrial complex development, tourist development, landfill or combustion facilities construction, electric power plant development, development of port, road/rail/air port, is necessary the standardized and packaged EIA technology which considers the common characteristics of the same kind of development project.
