비행제어시스템 설계 및 검증 절차 (Flight Control System Design and Verification Process)

  • Relaxed static stability(RSS) concept has been applied to improve aerodynamic performance of modern version supersonic jet fighter aircraft. Therefore, flight control systems are necessary to stabilize an unstable aircraft, and provides adequate handling qualities and achieve performance enhancements. Standard FCSDVP (Flight Control System Design and Verification Process) is provided to reduce development period of the flight control system. In addition, if this process is employed in developing flight control system, it reduces the trial and error for development and verification of flight control system. This paper addresses the flight control system design and verification process for the RSS aircraft utilizing design goal based on military specifications, linear and nonlinear system design and verification based on universal software, handling quality test based on HILS(Hardware In-the-Loop Simulator) environment, and ground and flight test results to verify aircraft dynamic flight responses.

  • 다양한 센싱 데이터를 수집하는 시스템은 복잡하게 구성되어 있다. 따라서 그 기능에 대한 검증을 수행하는 절차를 설계하는 것이 매우 중요하다. 이러한 환경에서 개발된 시스템의 통합 검증 프로세스를 설계하기 위해서, 본 논문에서는 다양한 센싱 데이터를 수집하는 시스템을 검증하는 절차에 대해 설계한다.

  • Most manufacturing companies are trying to develop a competitive product by increasing the quality, shortening time to market and reducing the cost of a product. Collaborators related to the development of a new product want to confirm geometric forms and dimensions during the design process, as well as to verify dimensional errors of a product during the fabrication process. Objective of this paper is the development of a collaborative design and dimension verification system on the Internet. STEP files obtained from the design process are used for the design and dimension verification. Functions of the design and dimension verification modules are constructed over the ActiveX control using the visual C/sup ++/ and OpenGL. By using mark up functions over the Internet, collaborators check geometries, interferences, dimensional errors, human factors and form errors, as well as share their design ideas and opinions with XML rapidly and remotely. The usefulness of the developed system is confirmed through case studies.

  • Current CAD systems are good enough to be used as a tool to manipulate three-dimensional shapes. This is a very important capability to be owned by a design tool because a major portion of designers'activities is spent on the shape manipulation in the design detailing process. However, the whole design process involves a lot more than the, shape manipulation. Currently, these remaining tasks, mostly logical reasoning process for the function realization together with structure decomposition in the top-down manner, are processed in the designer's brain. To support the top-down functional design process of a mechanical product, a system integrating the functional, structural and geometrical aspects of a product design in a unified environment is presented. Using this system, a designer can perform function decomposition, structure decomposition, and geometry detailing, and function verification activities in parallel and the whole design process it modeled resultantly. Once the whole design process is modeled, any redesign task can be automatically performed with the verification of the desired functions.

Analysis of Verification Methodologies Based on a SoC Platform Design

  • In a SoC (system-on-chip) design, a design complexity is a big bottleneck. In order to overcome the design complexity, platform based design method is widely adopted for designers. Most complex SoCs need a heterogeneous design development environment for hardware and software co-design. In this paper, we discuss about some kinds of verification approaches with platform based design methodology at various abstraction levels of SoC design. We separate the verification process to two steps according to the different levels of verification. We employ a flexible SoC design environment to support simultaneous hardware and software development. We demonstrate the verification strategy of a target SoC design, IEEE 802.11a WLAN SoC.

시스템 다이내믹스 기반 해양구조물 분리시스템의 설계검증 방법에 관한 연구 (Design Verification Method of Offshore Separation Systems Based on System Dynamics)

  • 본 연구는 시스템 다이내믹스를 기반으로 해양구조물 분리시스템(Separation system)의 설계검증 방법을 제안하였다. 해양구조물 분리시스템은 부가가치 측면에서 EPC 프로젝트의 성공 여부를 결정할 수 있는 상부구조(Topsides)의 가장 중요한 시스템 중 하나이다. 그럼에도 불구하고, 설계검증에 대한 지금까지의 실태는 설계 작업의 프로세스 진행이나 도면작성 및 제공에 국한되어 있어 기본설계 단계에서 설계검증의 미흡으로 인하여 계약 후 잦은 설계변경에 의한 기업손실이 발생되어 왔다. 이러한 맥락에서 본 연구의 목적은 해양구조물의 전체 프로젝트 수행 기간에 성공적인 사업수행을 도모하고자 설계검증 모델을 구축하여 적용하도록 하였다. 제안된 설계검증 방법은 상세 설계의 효과적인 실행뿐만 아니라 초기설계 단계에서 기술적 오류나 불일치 사항을 미리 찾아냄으로써 해양구조물의 엔지니어링, 조달 및 건조에 대한 경쟁력을 향상시키는데 기여 할 것으로 예상한다. 본 연구에서는 먼저 건조한 실적선 자료를 바탕으로 설계검증을 수행하여 FPSO 분리시스템에 적용하고 ISO 15288 국제 표준을 준수하였다. 결과적으로, 제안된 설계검증 방법이 해양구조물의 FEED 검증 프로세스에 적용될 수 있으며, 향후 해양 프로젝트의 성공적인 수행에 의한 이익창출을 도모할 수 있을 것이다. 또한, 해양구조물 건조 시 설계변경에 의한 막대한 손실을 최소화 할 수 있을 것으로 기대한다.

  • As the human demand or desire on brand new systems otherwise equipped with new functions grows drastically, so does the complexity of the systems. With this trend, the systems are becoming bigger in scale and at the same time the safety requirements are more stringent in the development. Typical systems examples in such a situation may include high-speed railway systems, aero and space systems, marine systems, etc. Failure of those systems can cause serious damages on both the human being and wealth with social infrastructure. As such, it is quite necessary to ensure that the safety requirements be satisfied in the system development. To achieve this need, there could be a lot of solutions to take. In this paper, regarding safety, a special attention is given to the verification phase process, which is one of the intermediate phases of whole systems development process. More specifically, the ultimate concern is placed on how to carry out the design verification while ensuring the safety requirements. To do so, some improvements in the verification phase were proposed first. Then, the outcomes were combined with the systems safety process by generating an integrated process model to reach the goal. As a case study, application to a railway system was discussed, where strict safety requirements are usually necessary. It would be expected that the potential likelihood of failure with rail systems could be reduced if the results obtained are used effectively with some enhancement from further study.

자바 바이트코드의 검증을 위한 프레임워크 설계 (A Design of Verification Framework for Java Bytecode)

  • Java bytecode verification is a critical process to guarantee the safety of transmitted Java applet on the web or contemporary embedded devices. We propose a design of framework which enables to analyze and verify java bytecode. The designed framework translates from a java bytecode into the intermediate representation which can specify a properties of program without using an operand stack. Using the framework is able to produce automatically error specifications that could be occurred in a program and express specifications annotated in intermediate representation by a user. Furthermore we design a verification condition generator which converts from an intermediate representation to a verification condition, a verification engine which verifies verification conditions from verification condition generator, and a result reporter which displays results of verification.

  • The paper aims at presenting a systematic approach process and a method of requirement validation and system verification. Validation is applied during concept development to ensure conceptual validity, requirements validity, and design validity. Verification work is applied subsequent to the design work on test articles and early production items to produce evidence that the design solutions do, in fact, satisfy th requirements. In this paper, we present a requirements validation model and a system verification model. This models are applied to the development of TTX(Tilting Train Express)system with systems engineering tool, CORE.
