  • In this paper, design and control of the novel SEPIC-Flyback converter(SF converter) is developed as a possible converter for fuel cell system. This output characteristic of SF converter is similar to Buck-Boost converter in that it can step-up or step-down the voltage. With the small signal equivalent circuit modeling of SF converter, control-to-output transfer function is obtained. SF converter couples up the inductive type converter to capacitive type converter with one transformer, which has less ripple current than its respective one does. To verify the validity of the proposed converter, 500W, 100kHz converter is designed and tested. ZVS switching and active clamping are also tested in practice.

  • A reinforced hydraulic hoses,caiied a resonator hoses,with fixible metal tube are commonly used in automotive power steering hydraulic systems to attenuate and eliminate the objectionable fluid borne noise(pressure ripple) or vibration produced by a pump or steering gear. To achieve better nose attenuation in automotile vehicles, the investigations on propagation and attenuation characteristics of fluid borne pressure ripple in power steering hydraulic ciruit are required. So, this paper descibes a mathematical model of hydraulic hoses to support design the power steering hydraulic circuit and analyze the attenuation characteristics of flow and pressure ripples. The model is based on the transfer matrix approach. The experimental results show that the pulsation attenuation characteristics of hydraulic house is remarkably affected by the flexible metal tube inserted coaxially inside a hydraulic hose with a finite length as well as viscoelastic properties of house wall. It is also shown that the predicted results bymodel proposed here agree well with the measured results over a wide frequency range. These results will assist in the modeling and design of hydraulic hoses, and hear, should provide a means for designing a quieter automotive power steering hydraulic systems.

  • A new band pass filter (BPF) prepared by dielectric monoblock and its design techniques are presented. The modeling of the three-pole dielectric monoblock BPF has been carried out by CAD. The equivalent circuit of the BPF was established by transmission lines and lumped capacitors. The transmission line characteristic impendances were computed using 2-D FEM. The BPF for PCS has been designed to have a 60 MHz pass-bandwidth with center frequency of 1960 MHz and an attenuation pole at below the passband using a commercial 3-D structure simulator.

  • The demands of high data transfer rate and high recording density in optical disk memory device are being increased. In order to achieve high performance, lever actuator for optical disk is proposed. Firstly, the role of lever and structure are discussed and the flexure hinge is introduced to enhance the precise movement. Next is to present the magnetic circuit structure and concept design for the lever actuator. Finally, the dynamic modeling of the lever actuator is found and the analysis results are shown. Consequently, the lever actuator shows the possibility as a pickup actuator for the next generation optical disk.

  • Routing region modeling methods for PCB auto-routing system in Shape based type(non-grid method) used region process type and the shape located in memory as a individual element, and this element consumed small memory due to unique data size. In this paper we design PCB(Printed Circuit Board) auto-routing system using the auction algorithm method that 1) Could be reached by solving the shortest path from single original point to various destination, and 2) Shaped based type without any memory dissipation with the best speed. Also, the auto-routing system developed by Visual C++ in Window environment, and can be used in IBM Pentium computer or in various individual PC system.

  • This work presents modelling and simulation of a readout integrated circuit (ROIC) design considering pair-wise serial configuration along with thermal modeling of an uncooled microbolometer array. A fully differential approach is used at the input stage in order to reduce fixed pattern noise due to the process variation and self-heating-related issues. Each pair of microbolometers is pulse-biased such that they both fall under the same self-heating point along the self-heating trend line. A ${\pm}10%$ process variation is considered. The proposed design is simulated with a reference input image consisting of an array of $127{\times}92$ pixels. This configuration uses only one unity gain differential amplifier along with a single 14-bit analog-to-digital converter in order to minimize the dynamic range requirement of the ROIC.

  • Simple equivalent circuit model is developed for wireless energy transfer system via coupled magnetic resonances and practical design method is also provided. Node equations for the resonance system are built with the method expanding transformer's equations and the optimum distances of coils in the system is derived analytically for optimum coupling coefficients for high transfer efficiency. Moreover, to calculate the frequency characteristics for a lossy system the equivalent model is established at an electric design automation tool. The model parameters of the actual system are extracted and the results of modeling are compared with the measurement. Through the developed model, we can understand the principles that the system shows higher efficiency than conventional magnetic coupling systems and impedance matching is important to achieve high efficiency.

  • In the paper, we confirmed improvement Noise figure of the entire RF front-end using spiral inductor with PGS(Patterned Ground Shield) and current bleeding techniques. LNA design is to achieve simultaneous noise and input matching. Spiral inductor in input circuit of LNA inserted PGS for betterment of Q-factor. we modeling inductor using EM simulator, so compared with inductor of TSMC 0.18um. We designed and simulation the optimum structure of PGS using Taguchi's method. We confirmed enhancement of noise figure at LNA after substituted for inductor with PGS. Mixer designed using current bleeding techniques for reduced noise. We designed LNA using inductor with PGS and Mixer using current bleeding techniques, so confirmed improvement of noise figure.

  • 본 논문에서는 기존의 방법과 비교하여 간결한 X-band 위성 통신용 셉텀 편파기의 설계방법을 제안한다. 제안된 방법은 기존의 셉텀 편파기 설계 방법들과 비교하여 설계과정에서 소요되는 시간적인 측면과 설계방법의 복잡성 측면에서 개선된 방법이다. 더욱이 도파관형 셉텀 편파기의 해석 및 설계를 위해 등가모델링 방법을 상용 EM 소프트웨어를 이용한 전파상수(${\beta}$) 및 도파관 임피던스 계산과 전송선로 이론을 적용하였다. 마지막으로 시뮬레이션과 실제측정 결과를 통해, 위성 통신용 적합성을 확인하였다.

개구면을 통한 마이크로스트립-수직 슬롯 라인 결합 구조의 회로망 해석과 모델링 (Equivalent Circuit Modeling of Aperture-Coupled Microstrip-to-Vertically Mounted Slotline Coupler)

  • 마이크로스트립 라인에서 접지면의 개구면을 통해 수직으로 세워진 슬롯라인으로의 결합구조에 대한 등가회로를 도출하고, 관련된 변수 값들을 효율적으로 계산하기 위한 일반적인 해석을 제안하였다. 제안된 해석방법을 토대로 결합구조의 주파수 특성을 포함하여 개구면 길이와 수직 슬롯라인 폭 변화에 따른 영향을 살펴보았다. 제안한 해석방법과 설계 이론을 검증하기 위해 제안한 등가회로 모델과 하이브리드 유전알고리듬을 이용하여 C-대역 접지면 슬롯을 통한 마이크로스트립 라인-수직 슬롯라인 결합구조를 갖는 선형 테이퍼 슬롯 안테나를 최적 설계하였다. 뿐만아니라 등가회로를 이용하여 계산한 안테나 반사손실 특성을 측정 결과 및 수치해석 결과와 비교 하였으며, 이들간의 상당한 일치도는 제안한 해석, 설계 이론과 등가회로 모델의 타당성을 충분히 입증해 준다.
