Contents based Watermarking on Image (영상의 내용 기반 워터마킹)

  • We propose a content based watermarking technique in multimedia management system. In the proposed technique, a content description technique of MPEG-7 for the multimedia database is adopted into a watermarking technique. With multimedia features described by MPEG-7 standard, we propose a novel watermarking technique where MPEG-7 descriptors are regarded as perceptually significant portions. The watermark is embedded in cooperating with multimedia features such as MPEG-7 descriptor. To verify the feasibility and performance of proposed watermarking technique, experiments with the MPEG-7 database are performed.

  • 본 논문에서는 다차원 멀티미디어 데이터의 효율적인 스트리밍과, 다차원 입체 시스템 정보의 효율적인 전송을 위한 (역)다중화기를 제안하였다. 제안한 (역)다중화기는 MPEG-2를 TransMux Layer Tool로 이용하였으며 HPEG-4 시스템을 기반으로 설계되었다 다차원 입체 시스템의 구동을 위한 부가 정보는 본 논문에서 제안한 설러 가지 descriptor를 통해, 다차원 멀티미디어 데이터인 다시점 비디오, 스테레오 오디오, 합성 영상과 함께 수신부로 전송된다. 제안한 (역)다중화기는 다차원 입체 시스템에 매우 적합하며, 다른 시스템과의 호환성도 매우 우수하다.

  • In this paper, We propose the feature-based 3D model Retrieval System. 3D models are represented as triangle meshes. A first simple feature vector can be calculated from hull. After looking for meshes intersected with the hull, we compute the curvature of meshes. These curvature are used as the model descriptor.

  • The design of an automatic aircraft recognition system involves two parts. The first part is extraction of invariant features independent of scale, rotation and translation. The second part is determination of optimal decision procedures, which are needed in the classification process. In this research, we extracted invariant aircraft features regardless of size, rotation and translation using Fourier Descriptors and Zernike Moments and classified using neural networks.

  • The interaction of emotion is an important factor in Human-Robot Interaction(HRI). This requires a contextual appraisal of emotion extracting the emotional information according to the events happened from past to present. In this paper an emotion appraisal system based on the cognitive context is presented. Firstly, a conventional emotion appraisal model is simplified to model a contextual emotion appraisal which defines the types of emotion appraisal, the target of the emotion induced from analyzing emotional verbs, and the transition of emotions in the context. We employ a language based cognitive system and its sentential memory and object descriptor to define the type and target of emotion and to evaluate the emotion varying with the process of time with the a priori emotional evaluation of targets. In a experimentation, we simulate the proposed emotion appraisal system with a scenario and show the feasibility of the system to HRI.

Combined Optimal Design of Robust Control System and Structure System for Truss Structure with Collocated Sensors and Actuators

  • A control-structure combined optimal design problem is discussed taking a 3-D truss structure as a design object. We use descriptor forms for a controlled object and a generalized plant because the structural parameters appear naturally in these farms. We consider not only minimum weight design problem for structure system, but also suppression problem of the effect of disturbances for control system as the purpose of the design. A numerical example shows the validity of combined optimal design of structure and control systems. We also consider the validity of sensor-actuator collocation for control system design in this paper.

  • In this paper, we propose a new 3D object retrieval system using the shape information of 2D silhouette images. 2D images at different view points are derived from a 3D model and linked to the model. Shape feature of 2D image is extracted by a region-based descriptor. In the experiment, we compare the results of the proposed system with those of the system using curvature scale space(CSS) to show the efficiency of our system.

  • This paper proposes an intelligent video surveillance system for human object tracking. The proposed system integrates the object extraction, human object recognition, face detection, and camera control. First, the object in the video signals is extracted using the background subtraction. Then, the object region is examined whether it is human or not. For this recognition, the region-based shape descriptor, angular radial transform (ART) in MPEG-7, is used to learn and train the shapes of human bodies. When it is decided that the object is human or something to be investigated, the face region is detected. Finally, the face or object region is tracked in the video, and the pan/tilt/zoom (PTZ) controllable camera tracks the moving object with the motion information of the object. This paper performs the simulation with the real CCTV cameras and their communication protocol. According to the experiments, the proposed system is able to track the moving object(human) automatically not only in the image domain but also in the real 3-D space. The proposed system reduces the human supervisors and improves the surveillance efficiency with the computer vision techniques.

  • This paper describes a design and implementation of the DFR(Document Filing and Retrieval) system. one of applications of DOAM(Distributed Office Application Model) which is the international standard in ISO(International Standards Organization). On the basis of the international standard, the DFR system is implemented on SUN workstation and PC/386 with C language, and its implementation is verified by tracing the association descriptor and primitives of service elements when its operation is tested between client and server. The result of this study shows that the DFR system can be implemented on the basis of the international standard, and makes a contribution toward the establishment of functional standards for the DFR system.
