  • As social data become into the spotlight, mainstream web search engines provide data indicate how many people searched specific keyword: Web Search Traffic data. Web search traffic information is collection of each crowd that search for specific keyword. In a various area, web search traffic can be used as one of useful variables that represent the attention of common users on specific interests. A lot of studies uses web search traffic data to nowcast or forecast social phenomenon such as epidemic prediction, consumer pattern analysis, product life cycle, financial invest modeling and so on. Also web search traffic data have begun to be applied to predict tourist inbound. Proper demand prediction is needed because tourism is high value-added industry as increasing employment and foreign exchange. Among those tourists, especially Chinese tourists: Youke is continuously growing nowadays, Youke has been largest tourist inbound of Korea tourism for many years and tourism profits per one Youke as well. It is important that research into proper demand prediction approaches of Youke in both public and private sector. Accurate tourism demands prediction is important to efficient decision making in a limited resource. This study suggests improved model that reflects latest issue of society by presented the attention from group of individual. Trip abroad is generally high-involvement activity so that potential tourists likely deep into searching for information about their own trip. Web search traffic data presents tourists' attention in the process of preparation their journey instantaneous and dynamic way. So that this study attempted select key words that potential Chinese tourists likely searched out internet. Baidu-Chinese biggest web search engine that share over 80%- provides users with accessing to web search traffic data. Qualitative interview with potential tourists helps us to understand the information search behavior before a trip and identify the keywords for this study. Selected key words of web search traffic are categorized by how much directly related to "Korean Tourism" in a three levels. Classifying categories helps to find out which keyword can explain Youke inbound demands from close one to far one as distance of category. Web search traffic data of each key words gathered by web crawler developed to crawling web search data onto Baidu Index. Using automatically gathered variable data, linear model is designed by multiple regression analysis for suitable for operational application of decision and policy making because of easiness to explanation about variables' effective relationship. After regression linear models have composed, comparing with model composed traditional variables and model additional input web search traffic data variables to traditional model has conducted by significance and R squared. after comparing performance of models, final model is composed. Final regression model has improved explanation and advantage of real-time immediacy and convenience than traditional model. Furthermore, this study demonstrates system intuitively visualized to general use -Youke Mining solution has several functions of tourist decision making including embed final regression model. Youke Mining solution has algorithm based on data science and well-designed simple interface. In the end this research suggests three significant meanings on theoretical, practical and political aspects. Theoretically, Youke Mining system and the model in this research are the first step on the Youke inbound prediction using interactive and instant variable: web search traffic information represents tourists' attention while prepare their trip. • The term "articles for ship" is a general term for all relevant mechanical accessories (SPARE) and consumable materials (STORE) commonly used in ships. Ships commonly are at sea, so it is difficult to respond rapidly to the demand for them in an emergency situation. In particular, it is more difficult to determine the boarding location of tramper ships as it is more difficult to predict the next sailing route in advance. The purpose of this study was to identify the important factors to be considered in determining the boarding location of tramper ships through a survey of each ship owner and ship management company. This valuable information on the proposed supply procedures for each country and port, would be an efficient way to supply articles for ships.

  • To set the estimated energy requirement (EER) in Dietary Reference Intakes for Koreans (KDRI), we need the coefficient by physical activity stage, as determined by the physical activity level(PAL). Thus, there has been demand for a tool to calculate PAL based on the physical activity diary. This study was undertaken to develop a physical activity (PA) classification table for Koreans, using the 2011 Compendium of physical activities in the United States. The PA classification table for Koreans contains 262 codes, and values of the metabolic equivalent of task (MET) for specific activities. Of these, 243 PAs which do not have Korean specific data or information, were selected from the 2011 Compendium of PAs that originated in the United States; another 19 PAs were selected from the previous research data of Koreans. The PA classification table is codified to facilitate the selection of energy values corresponding to each PA. The code for each PA consists of a single letter alphabet (activity category) and four numeric codes that display the activity type (2 digit number), activity intensity (1 digit number), and specific activities (1 digit number). In addition, the intensity (sedentary behavior, low, middle and high) of specific PA and its rate of energy expenditure in MET are presented together. The activity categories are divided into 4 areas: Daily Activity (A), Movement (B), Occupation (C), and Exercise and Sports (D). The developed PA classification table can be applied to quantify the energy cost of PA for adults in research or practice, and to assess energy expenditure and physical activity levels based on self-reported PA.

  • There has been a strong demand for low altitude UAV development in rapid mapping not only to acquire high resolution image with much more low cost and weather independent, compared to satellite surveying or traditional aerial surveying, but also to meet many needs of the aerial photogrammetry. Especially, efficient geocoding of UAV imagery is the key issue. Contrary to high UAV potential for civilian applications, the technology development in photogrammetry for example direct georeferencing is in the early stage and it requires further research and additional technical development. In this study, two approaches are supposed for automatic geocoding of UAV still images by simple affine transformation and block adjustment of affine transformation using minimal ground control points and also evaluated the applicability and quality of geometric model compared to geocoded images generated by commercial S/W.

  • As the demand for underwater systems providing pollution monitoring, marine ecosystem observation, surveillance monitoring is increased, acoustic modem for short-range underwater communication is spotlighted as one of significant research topics. Typically, in shallow water, it is so hard to analyze acoustic wave which undergoes spreading, absorption, reflection and scattering through transmission that there are limited advanced results. Furthermore, in order for the modem to be loaded in a fixed node or a moving vehicle in shallow water, its size should be small enough. In this paper, we address underwater acoustic channel model and design and implement an efficient micro acoustic modem which is adequate for short-range underwater communication. The developed modem is verified in a lake by varying working range and data rate up to 500 meters and 2 kbps, respectively.

  • Since 2000, the demand for multimedia content consumption has been continuously increasing. The research and standardization for the mobile broadcast service has been done to deliver multimedia contents to the huge number of users with the minimum cost. A few commercial services started after the related standards were released. We call this mobile broadcast service the 1st generation service. Now, many experts are researching and developing the technologies for 3Screens(TV, PC, and Mobile) Services that an user can enjoy multimedia contents at every place with the various networks and devices. To enable this service, two main technical areas exist. The first is a core network technology that can support the various access network and the second is a common application layer technology. To resolve these technical areas, we propose IMS(IP Multimedia Subsystem) based OMA BCAST(Open Mobile Alliance Mobile Broadcast Service Enabler Suite) as the technical solution for 3 Screen Services in the paper. In addition, we propose application layer multicast that is enable to implement IMS based OMA BCAST to the existing network with the minimum cost. Finally, we show how we can save the implementation cost of IMS based OMA BCAST with the simulation results.

  • Digital Elevation Model (DEM) generation from remotely sensed imagery is crucial for a variety of mapping applications such as ortho-photo generation, city modeling. High resolution imaging satellites such as SPOT-5, IKONOS, QUICK-BIRD, ORBVIEW constitute an excellent source for efficient and economic generation of DEM data. However, prerequisite knowledge in the areas of sensor modeling, epipolar resampling, and image matching is required to generate DEM from these high resolution satellite imagery. From the above requirements, epipolar resampling emerges as the most important factors. Research attempts in this area are still in high demand and short supply. Another cause that adds to the complication of the problem is that most studies of DEM generation from IKONOS scenes have been based on rational function model. In this paper, we proposed a new methodology for DEM generation from satellite scenes using parallel projection model which is sensor independent, makes it possible for sensor modeling and epipolar resampling by only few control points. The performance and feasibility of the developed methodology is evaluated through real dataset captured by IKONOS.
