Fabrication of Polymer Laser Device by Two-Photon Induced Photopolymerization Technique

  • We fabricated a polymer sub-microstructure for optical device application by two-photon-induced laser lithography technique. Polymer pattern could be minimized as small as ${\sim}100\;nm$. The photopolymerization resin contains laser-dye, thus promising a high level of the optical gain. We utilized the lithography technique to the photonic crystal application, where the template of the two-dimensional photonic crystal was modified by polymer gain medium as defect-shape and line-shape orientations. Photonic band gap effect from polymer-doped photonic crystals is expected to exploit the application such as organic solid-state laser device.

  • Porthole die extrusion has a great advantage in the forming of hollow section tubes difficult to produce by conventional extrusion with a mandrel on the stem. Because of the complicated structure of die assembly, extrusion process as a forming of hollow section tubes has been investigated experimentally Therefore, analytic approaches that are useful in profitable die design and in the improvement of productivity are inevitably demanded Welding strength is affected by many parameters, which are such as extrusion ratio, extrusion speed, die shape, porthole number, bearing length, billet temperature and mandrel shape. In this paper, the parameters, which are such as billet temperature, bearing length and tube thickness, are examined. The welding pressures are examined through 3D simulation of non steady state and compared with experimental results.

  • The semi-solid process has been developed near net-shape components for kinds of methods. Thixo-forming with reheating prepared billet and rheo-forming with cooled melt until semi-solid state. Material is applied electromagnetic stirring system to slurry with aluminum 6061 alloy. An experiment has variation factors which are pressure, solid-fraction, stirring current and stirring time. The mechanical properties are compared to forge sample with to apply heat treatment T6. This study is researched function a virtual pressure and fine shape zone. Optimum pressure is found to prevent defect of porosity.

  • Confirmation of a damage degree and repair about a damage part are very hard for an underwater structure. And quality control of a construction is very complicated even if repair work is carried out on a damaged structure because repair work is carried out in water. If repair work is carried out while a defect part of the structure which there is in water keeps dry state, a efficient of repair is maximized. However, as for the repair technology about an underwater structure, a systematic researcher is not enough because of the environmental trouble. And, as for the effect about repair method to be applied to a currently underwater structure, it is not certainly proved. In this study The repair work of an underwater structure damaged applied the method that used a fiber panel form work. And a efficient of structure repaired was evaluated.

  • TIGBT has some merits which are lower on-state voltage drop and smaller cell pitch, but also has a defect which is relatively lower breakdown voltage in comparison with planar IGBT. This lower breakdown voltage is due to the electric field which is concentrated on beneath the vertical gate. Therefore in this paper, new trench IGBT structure is proposed to improve breakdown voltage In the new proposed structure, a narrow oxide beneath the trench gate edge where the electric field is concentrated is extended into rectangular shape to decrease the electric field. As a result, breakdown voltage is improved to 23%.

F-Center Excitation Energy Transfer to CN$^-$ vibrational Levels in CsCl

  • The rapid quenching dynamics of the F-center excitation by CN- defects in CsCl crystals were investigated by monitoring the ground state bleach recovery kinetics of F-centers, using a picosecond streak camera absorption spectrometer. The F-centers in CN- doped quenched samples show two bleach recovery components. Optical aggregation converts the slow component to the fast component. The slow one is due to the normal relaxation of the F*-centers as found in CN_ free crystals. The fast one is due to the energy transfer of the F-center electronic excitation to the vibrational energy levels of CN_ molecualr defects. The energy transfer occurs only in the F-center-CN_ defect pairs, FH(CN_)-centers.

계수치 데이터를 위한 EWMA 관리도 (Exponentially Weighted Moving Average Control Charts for Counted Data)

  • This study is concerned with design of EWMA control charts for counted data. Control charts for the fraction defective and the number of defects are designed. Performance analysis is accomplished for validity of the designed EWMA control charts. Average run length(ARL) is adopted as a criterion for comparison. Simulation results show that the designed EWMA control charts have shorter ARL than pn, p and c control charts when the fraction nonconforming or the average defect number are shifted. This means that the designed control charts can detect the out of -control state of the process more fastly than the traditional control charts.

  • 양자점은 밴드갭을 조절할 수 있거나 multiple exciton generation등 과 같은여러가지 장점을 갖고 있어 양자점 감응형 태양전지에 대한 많은 연구가 진행되어왔다. 하지만 아직까지 이론적인 에너지 전환 효율에 비하여 낮은 효율을 보여주고 있다. 이러한 낮은 효율은 양자점과 전해질 계면에서의 defect나 surface state로 인한 전자-정공의 재결합으로 설명할 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 CdSe 양자점 합성법 중의 하나인 Chemical Bath Deposition의 전구체 농도조절을 통하여 고품질의 CdSe양자점을 합성하였다. 특정 농도에서 CdSe 양자점 표면에 생성되는 SeO2층을 억제하여 CdSe양자점/전해질 계면에서의 전하 재결합 저항을 높였고 가장 높은 에너지 전환 효율을 보여주었다.

  • This paper describes a new digital control method of 3-phase PWM inverter with LC filter for uninterruptible power supply(UPS). The overall control system is based on the dead beat control, which has the minor loop of current control within the voltage control major loop. In this paper, the full-order disturbance observer is proposed to compensate the disturbances generated due to a sudden change of load currents. The proposed disturbance observer is composed of dead beat observer which estimates state values within a finite time, and cancels the disturbances by adding feedforward compensation loop in the control system. In addition, on order to remove a defect of oscillation generated in output of conventional dead beat controller, a modified dead beat algorithm is proposed in this paper.

카오스 분석을 통한 용접 품질 정량화 (Weld Quality Quantification through Chaotic Analysis)

  • Irregular fluctuation of penetration depth in CW single mode fiber laser welding is analyzed statistically and chaotically. Among various chaos theories, one of the basic concept referred as Lyapunov exponent is applied to the analysis to quantify the irregularity of penetration. Especially, maximal Lyapunov exponent (MLE) is known as the representative value indicating chaotic degree of the system dynamics. MLE calculation method of experimental data is applied to longitudinal spiking defect in fiber laser weld. Laser power modulation is suggested as a remedy then the computed MLE value is compared to CW case. It is shown that the adoption of chaos theory, MLE computation, can be used as a measurement standard to prove the validity of the solutions to prevent the unexpected chaotic behavior of weld through this work.
