Images displayed on a digital devices under the sunlight are generally perceived to be darker than the original images, which leads to a decrease in visibility. For better visibility, global luminance compensation or tone mapping adaptive to ambient lighting is required. However, the existing methods have limitations in chrominance compensation and are difficult to use in real world due to their heavy computational cost. To solve these problems, this paper propose a piece-wise linear curves (PLECs)-based image enhancement method to improve both luminance and chrominance. At this time, PLECs are regressed through deep learning and implemented in the form of a lookup table to real-time operation. Experimental results show that the proposed method has better visibility compared to the original image with low computational cost.
Building information is essential for various urban spatial analyses. For this reason, continuous building monitoring is required, but it is a subject with many practical difficulties. To this end, research is being conducted to extract buildings from satellite images that can be continuously observed over a wide area. Recently, deep learning-based semantic segmentation techniques have been used. In this study, a part of the structure of the context-based ResU-Net was modified, and training was conducted to automatically extract a building from a 30 cm Worldview-3 RGB image using SpaceNet's building v2 free open data. As a result of the classification accuracy evaluation, the f1-score, which was higher than the classification accuracy of the 2nd SpaceNet competition winners. Therefore, if Worldview-3 satellite imagery can be continuously provided, it will be possible to use the building extraction results of this study to generate an automatic model of building around the world.
This paper is a study to evaluate the performance when classifying explosive components by capacity using a convolutional neural network (CNN). Among the existing explosive classification methods, the IMS steam detector method determines the presence or absence of an explosive only when the explosive concentration exceeds the threshold set by the user. The IMS steam detector has a problem of determining that even if an explosive exists, the explosive does not exist in an amount that does not exceed the threshold. Therefore, it is necessary to detect the explosive component even when the concentration of the explosive component does not exceed the threshold. Accordingly, in this paper, after imaging explosive time series data with the Gramian Angular Field (GAF) algorithm, it is possible to determine whether there are explosive components and the amount of explosive components even when the concentration of explosive components does not exceed a threshold.

In this paper, we discuss the design and implementation of predictive and diagnostic models for realizing intelligent predictive models by collecting and storing the power output of agricultural photovoltaic power generation systems. Our model predicts the amount of photovoltaic power generation using RNN, LSTM, and GRU models, which are recurrent neural network techniques specialized for time series data, and compares and analyzes each model with different hyperparameters, and evaluates the performance. As a result, the MSE and RMSE indicators of all three models were very close to 0, and the R2 indicator showed performance close to 1. Through this, it can be seen that the proposed prediction model is a suitable model for predicting the amount of photovoltaic power generation, and using this prediction, it was shown that it can be utilized as an intelligent and efficient O&M function in an agricultural photovoltaic system.

This paper proposes database generation and management system for small-pixelized airborne target recognition. The proposed system has five main features: 1) image extraction from in-flight test video frames, 2) automatic image archiving, 3) image data labeling and Meta data annotation, 4) virtual image data generation based on color channel convert conversion and seamless cloning and 5) HOG/LBP-based tiny-pixelized target augmented image data. The proposed framework is Python-based PyQt5 and has an interface that includes OpenCV. Using video files collected from flight tests, an image dataset for airborne target recognition on generates by using the proposed system and system input.

COVID-19 has remained one of the most serious health crises in recent history, resulting in the tragic loss of lives and significant economic impacts on the entire world. The difficulty of controlling COVID-19 poses a threat to the global health sector. Considering that Artificial Intelligence (AI) has contributed to improving research methods and solving problems facing diverse fields of study, AI algorithms have also proven effective in disease detection and early diagnosis. Specifically, acoustic features offer a promising prospect for the early detection of respiratory diseases. Motivated by these observations, this study conceptualized a speech-based diagnostic model to aid in COVID-19 diagnosis. The proposed methodology uses speech signals from confirmed positive and negative cases of COVID-19 to extract features through the pre-trained Visual Geometry Group (VGG-16) model based on Mel spectrogram images. This is used in addition to the K-means algorithm that determines effective features, followed by a Genetic Algorithm-Support Vector Machine (GA-SVM) classifier to classify cases. The experimental findings indicate the proposed methodology's capability to classify COVID-19 and NOT COVID-19 of varying ages and speaking different languages, as demonstrated in the simulations. The proposed methodology depends on deep features, followed by the dimension reduction technique for features to detect COVID-19. As a result, it produces better and more consistent performance than handcrafted features used in previous studies.

In this paper, we propose a quadtree-based optimization technique that enables fast Super-resolution(SR) computation by efficiently classifying and dividing physics-based simulation data required to calculate SR. The proposed method reduces the time required for quadtree computation by downscaling the smoke simulation data used as input data. By binarizing the density of the smoke in this process, a quadtree is constructed while mitigating the problem of numerical loss of density in the downscaling process. The data used for training is the COCO 2017 Dataset, and the artificial neural network uses a VGG19-based network. In order to prevent data loss when passing through the convolutional layer, similar to the residual method, the output value of the previous layer is added and learned. In the case of smoke, the proposed method achieved a speed improvement of about 15 to 18 times compared to the previous approach.

This paper studies the effect of the number of filters in the CNN (Convolutional Neural Network) layer on the performance of a noise attenuator. Speech is estimated from a noised speech signal using a 64-neuron, 16-kernel CNN filter and an error back-propagation algorithm. In this study, in order to verify the performance of the noise attenuator with respect to the number of filters, a program using Keras library was written and simulation was performed. As a result of simulation, it can be seen that this system has the smallest MSE (Mean Squared Error) and MAE (Mean Absolute Error) values when the number of filters is 16, and the performance is the lowest when there are 4 filters. And when there are more than 8 filters, it was shown that the MSE and MAE values do not differ significantly depending on the number of filters. From these results, it can be seen that about 8 or more filters must be used to express the characteristics of the speech signal.

This paper shows the face rotation applicable to game character facial illustration. Existing studies limited data to human face data, required a large amount of data, and the synthesized results were not good. In this paper, the following method was introduced to solve the existing problems of existing studies. First, a 3D model with features of the input image was rotated and then rendered as a 2D image to construct a data set. Second, by designing GAN that can learn features of various poses from the data built through the 3D model, the input image can be synthesized at a desired pose. This paper presents the results of synthesizing the game character face illustration. From the synthesized result, it can be confirmed that the proposed method works well.
As the global economy stagnated due to the Corona 19 virus from Wuhan, China, most countries, including the US Federal Reserve System, introduced policies to boost the economy by increasing the amount of money. Most of the stock investors tend to invest only by listening to the recommendations of famous YouTubers or acquaintances without analyzing the financial statements of the company, so there is a high possibility of the loss of stock investments. Therefore, in this research, I have used artificial intelligence deep learning techniques developed under the existing automatic trading conditions to analyze and predict macro-indicators that affect stock prices, giving weights on individual stock price predictions through correlations that affect stock prices. In addition, since stock prices react sensitively to real-time stock market news, a more accurate stock price prediction is made by reflecting the weight to the stock price predicted by artificial intelligence through stock market news text mining, providing stock investors with the basis for deciding to make a proper stock investment.
