We discuss the paper by Cho, Shin, Lee, and Han on the "information-relate" undergraduate statistics major program from the following perspectives: Recently, Korean universities are under re-structuring turmoil. To effectively confront the situation, we need both the vision and the strategy for statistics and statistics departments. For undergraduate statistics major program, our visions are 1) it should not be preliminary education program targeted for the graduate degrees, 2) it should be responsive to future social demand, and 3) it should incorporate the progressive identity of statistics as information and data science. As strategies, we propose 1) the effective integration and due balance among data collection, management and analysis, 2) the harmony and role development of computers and mathematics as statistical tools, 3) the statistics education through task-oriented problem solving, and 4) the emphasis of team work and communication skills.on skills.

The production of waste concrete is increased continuously by urban renewal, reconstruction, remodeling, and so on. So the positive use of recycled aggregate concrete is needed. Research for recycled aggregate concrete that use recycled aggregate from the mid-80s to solve environmental problem of aggregate insufficiency and waste concrete is consisting vigorously. However, specifications and mix design about waste concrete's use are evading use of recycled aggregate concrete yet in spot being not taken a triangular position. Therefore. it analyze existing research data for recycled aggregate concrete collection to develop strength estimate program in this research. Recycled aggregate concrete's strength estimate program if specifications and mix design about recycled aggregate concrete are taken a triangular position to foundation recycled aggregate concrete's practical use to increase judge.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to develop the health promotion program for rural elderly through PRECEDE process. Method: The health promotion program was developed based on the preliminary diagnosis. The data collection was performed from March 10th to April 9th, 2003. The subjects were selected at Mari Myun, Geochang Gun, in Korea. The preliminary diagnosis was examined with the 115 elders. Data was analyzed by descriptive statistics and Cronbach's n test with SPSS/Win 10.0 program. Results: The health promotion program was developed based on diagnostic result using PRECEDE model. The developed program was corrected and revised with the advices from 6 experts. The final program included health responsibility(cancer prevention and early detection, hygienic, false teeth management no smoking and moderation in drink, and chronic disease prevention and management), physical activity(6 kinds of exercise), nutrition(low sodium diet calcium intake, and right eating habit), spiritual growth(spiritual demand and death preparation teaching), interpersonal relations(relationship with couple, children, grandchildren, neighborhood), and stress management(sports dance, foot massage, positive thought, and song class). Conclusion: I propose that it is necessary to identity the effect of health promotion program for rural elderly. And strategy development that can spread the health promotion program elderly is needed.

The program of public facilities are essential of resident life, and these programs affect quality of life and community activation. The purpose of this study is to analyze the present condition of the program of public facilities and residents' need of program in Yanglim-Dong, Gwangju. In this study, Field survey and questionnaire survey are used for data collection. The results of this study are showed as follows: First, most of the public facilities' programs are composed of educational and welfare program and program for teenager, young people and middle-age. Second, most of the residents prefer to program for culture and sport. Third, most of the residents want to join in one or two every weeks and the time zone of p.m..

This study was conducted to develop software which provides automatic site-specific field data acquisition, data processing, data mapping and management for precision agriculture. The developed software supports acquisition and processing of both digital and analog data streams. The architecture was object-oriented and each component in the architecture was developed as a separate class. In precision agriculture research, the laborious task of manual ground-truth data collection will be avoided using the developed software. In addition, gathering high-density data eliminates the need for interpolation of values for un-sampled areas. This software shows good potential for expansion and compatibility for variable-rate-application (VRA). The FIM (Field Information Management) computer program provides the user with an easy-to-follow process for field information management for precision agriculture.

In this paper, it has implemented the design for the K-Line Operations Safety Audit(K-LOSA) designed to provide a proactive snapshot of system safety and flight crew performance before an incident and accident. It introduces the a LOSA and ten operating characteristics that have come to define LOSA methodology. According to the LOSA methodology, we explain the conceptual and detail design and implement the prototype for the data collected with LOSA collection tool.

Purpose: The purpose of this research was to develop and evaluate the effects of an empowerment program. Method: We developed an 8-week empowerment program to decrease cancer symptoms and increase self-efficacy, self-esteem, and empowerment. This program includes aspects concerning self-knowledge and management, self-help groups, self-advocacy, resource network, and laughter therapy. We evaluated the effects of this program on 32 home-based cancer patients (one group pretest-posttest design). The data collection was performed from August 22, 2011 to October 13, 2011. Data were analyzed using the SPSS/WIN 18.0 program. Result: There were significant differences in self-esteem derived from the empowerment program. However, there were no significant differences in cancer symptoms, self-efficacy, and empowerment after the program. Conclusion: More research, using a control group pretest-posttest design that considers an appropriate intervention duration, is needed to more accurately examine the effects of the program. We expect this intervention to improve the empowerment of home-based cancer patients.

In this study, a career exploration program was developed for athletic students. Therefore, existing research on career exploration for athletics was analyzed, requirements were identified, and a learning plan was designed. Based on this, a step-by-step educational program was developed. In addition, since research on career exploration for athletic students was not active in previous studies, 'problem definition' - 'data collection' - 'data preprocessing' - 'data analysis' by referring to existing career exploration studies that were studied in the school field. - 'Data visualization' - 'Simulation analysis' were divided into stages to conduct the study. Through this study, it is expected that research on vocational education for athletic students will be more active.

Purpose: This study was performed to examine present health condition on community clients and the degree of cognition on community oriental health promotion program. Method: Research design is cross-sectional descriptive study, 300 residents who live in S city were selected. The period of data collection was from October 2005 to April 2006. The research instruments used were the VAS of fatigue, headache, pain, Depression, anxiety to examine present physical and psychological health condition and questionnaire on the degree of cognition on Oriental Health Promotion Program. SPSS 10.0 was used for statistics. Results: The range of fatigue, headache, pain, depression, anxiety was 2.09-3.75. The degree of cognition on program was 2.67. As for the degree of cognition on oriental health promotion program according to general characteristics of subject, there was significant difference(F=3.79, p=.038) between below 65 years(2.88) and above 65 years(3.12). Conclusion: We are trying to develop oriental health promotion program fit to property of community, especially elderly.
