국내 고층건물의 RD법에 의한 감쇠율의 진폭의존성 (Amplitude dependent damping ratio of domestic tall building by RD method)

  • The measured damping ratio was analysed to obtain amplitude dependence. Wind-induced vibration of 20 story steel-framed building was measured to investigate amplitude dependence by RD method. Micro-tremo vibrations of 20 RC bearing wall typed buildings were performed to analysis the amplitude dependence by formula proposed by Tamua and ESDU. Amplitude dependent damping in 17 story steel-framed building was showed clearly in the increasing rate of 9%. But Amplitude dependent damping of 17 RC bearing wall typed buildings was very low in the increasing rate of 2.5%. The tendency of dynamic properties of building obtained here are useful for the validation of dynamic properties of buildings in the evaluation of serviceability.

봉의 비틀림 고유진동에 대한 인접 점성유체의 영향

  • This paper deals with the theoretical study on the effect of the viscosity of an adjacent viscous fluid on the characteristics of the torsional vibration of a rod with fixed-free boundary conditions. Expressions for the natural frequency and damping factor have been obtained as functions of the viscosity of the fluid by exact and asymptotic analyses. The results provide quantitative information of the natural frequency reduction and damping rate affected by the fluid viscosity.

모형 로켓 연소실에서 배플형 분사기의 간극에 의한 음향 감쇠 효과에 관한 수치적 연구 (A Numerical Study on Acoustic Damping Induced by Gap between Baffled Injectors in a Model Rocket Combustor)

  • 로켓 엔진의 음향 불안정을 제어하기 위해 모형 연소실에 배플형 분사기가 장착된 경우의 음향 감쇠 특성을 수치해석적으로 조사하였다. 기존에 보고된 배플형 분사기의 효용성을 확인하였고 분사기간 간극이 존재할 때 음향 감쇠 효과가 증대되는 메커니즘을 규명하였다. 여러 가지 크기의 간극에 따라 음향학적 감쇠능력을 조사하였고, 본 연소실에서는 0.1 mm 정도의 간극에서 최적의 감쇠능력을 가짐을 알 수 있었다. 음향 감쇠 효과가 증대되는 메커니즘을 규명하기 위해, 분사기 사이의 간극에 따른 에너지 소산율과 와도를 계산하였고, 소산율 변화 추이와 감쇠인자 변화 추이가 유사함을 알았다. 이를 통해, 간극에 의한 에너지 소산의 종대로 음향 감쇠 효과가 증가함을 알았다.

합판과 목재사이 못 접합에 있어서 하중 속도에 대한 Damping과 강성 (stiffness) (Damping and Stiffness of Nailed Joints between Wood and Plywood : Response to Loading Rate)

  • 지진과 관련있는 하중 속도에서 damping을 측정하기 위하여 합판과 목재 사이에 한개의 못을 사용한 접합에 대하여 조사 했다. 조사된 하중은 sine function 의 15Hz와 ASTM하중 속도 사이에서 행했다. Damping 율은 4Hz까지의 하중 속도에서는 증가를 보였으며 그후 15Hz 까지는 점진적으로 감소하였다. 강성은 높은 하중 범위에서 slip moduli가 지속적으로 증가 하였다. 낮은 하중 범위에서 2.5Hz까지 증가 하였으며 그후는 감소 하였다. Damping 율과 slip modulus는 하중 속도와 상관 관계가 낮은 반면 work capacity와 dissipated energy는 높은 상관 관계를 보았다.

ASYMPTOTIC STABILIZATION FOR A DISPERSIVE-DISSIPATIVE EQUATION WITH TIME-DEPENDENT DAMPING TERMS

  • A long-time behavior of global solutions for a dispersive-dissipative equation with time-dependent damping terms is investigated under null Dirichlet boundary condition. By virtue of an appropriate new Lyapunov function and the Lojasiewicz-Simon inequality, we show that any global bounded solution converges to a steady state and get the rate of convergence as well, when damping coefficients are integrally positive and positive-negative, respectively. Moreover, under the assumptions on on-off or sign-changing damping, we derive an asymptotic stability of solutions.

  • In this paper, the performance evaluation of the vibration damping ratio according to the polymer mixing ratio of the polymer modified mortar used as the floor finishing material of the apartment building structure was evaluated. To compare the vibration damping rate, ordinary potland cement (OPC) mortar and polymer modified mortar (PMM) were prepared. In addition, the mixed polymer was mixed with Styrene Butadiene Rubber (SBR) liquid polymer with a solid content of about 49%. Accordingly, the W/C of the test specimen was adjusted and compounded, and the experiment was conducted by mixing 5 types of the test specimen: OPC-60, PMM-5%, PMM-10%, PMM-15%, and PMM-20%. In addition, in order to adjust the W/C of the specimen, the fluidity of each specimen was set as 210 (±5) mm. The specimens measured density and flow in fresh mortar and after curing for 28 days, flexural strength, compressive strength and ultrasonic pulse were measured. The attenuation rate was shown. The experimental results showed that the density increased according to the mixing of the polymer, the flexural strength increased as the mixing rate of the polymer increased, and the compressive strength was decreased. In addition, it was shown that the vibration damping rate increases with the increase in the amount of polymer incorporated.

철기제진합금의 전기화학적 부식특성 (Electrochemical Corrosion Characteristics of the Iron-based Damping Alloy)

  • 4종류의 Fe-Al 제진합금의 3.5% NaCl 염수에서의 부식특성을 냉간압연강판 및 순수한 티타늄과 함께 연구하였다. 티타늄의 경우 부동태현상이 관찰되었으나 Fe-Al 제진함금과 냉간압연강판의 경우 부동태현상이 관찰되지 않았다. 탄소 함유량이 적을수록 부식속도가 낮은 값을 나타내었다. 그러나 제진특성 향상을 위하여 첨가한 Mn은 고철에서는 부식속도를 저하시키는 효과를 보았으나 전해철에서는 부식속도를 오히려 증가시키는 경향을 보였다. Fe-Al 제진합금의 부식속도는 순수한 티타늄보다는 높은 값을 보였지만 냉간압연강판보다는 훨씬 낮은 값을 나타내었다.

피스톤 링 실 끝단을 갖는 스퀴즈 필름 댐퍼의 감쇠 계수 측정 (Measurement of Damping Coefficients of a Squeeze Film Damper with Piston Ring Seal Ends)

  • This study experimentally identifies the effects of end shape, clearance, total damper length, journal eccentricity ratio, oil supply pressure, and oil flow rate on the damping coefficient of a squeeze film damper (SFD) with piston ring seal ends and a central groove. The SFD is composed of a lubricating fluid flowing between the outer race of a rolling element bearing and cartridge, along with an anti-rotation pin to prevent the rotation of the outer race. The device provides additional viscous damping to a rotating system. Additionally, piston ring seals attached at both ends of the damper increase the damping coefficient of the rotating system by reducing oil leakage. Because these different design conditions affect the damping coefficient of an SFD, we perform experiments including different conditions. Tests show that the damping coefficient increases significantly in the SFD with piston ring seal ends compared with the SFD with open ends. The damping coefficient also increases with increasing total damper length and journal eccentricity ratio, and decreases with increasing clearance. Additionally, in contrast to the trend observed for the SFD with open ends, the damping coefficient for the SFD with piston ring seal ends increases with increasing supply pressure and flow rate as the frequency decreases but shows consistent results as the frequency increases.

파랑중 선박의 표류감쇠에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Wave Drift Damping of Ship in Waves)

  • As the offshore oil fields are moved to the deep ocean, the oil production systems of FPSO(Floating production storage and offloading system) are building these days and so it is the most important to estimate the drift motion and damping effects the drift motion importantly. The components of damping consist of viscous, wave radiation effect and wave drift damping. It is need to estimate the wave drift damping exactly among them. The wave drift damping means the change rate of mean wave drift force with respect to the ship and ocean structures speed. In order to calculate this, the 3-Dimensional panel method used to translating and pulsating Green function is adopted. The calculation is carried out for series 60(CB = 0.7) vessel and the results are compared with other theoretical ones.

In order to calculate this, the 3-Dimensional panel method is employed with the translating and pulsating Green function in the frequency domain. The calculation is carried out for a Series 60 ($C_B$/=0.7) and the results are compared with other numerical ones.
