TCSC의 $H_{\infty}$ 제어기를 이용한 대규모 전력계통의 지역간 진동모드 제동 (TCSC $H_{\infty}$ Controller Design for Damping Interarea Oscillations)

  • This paper presented design of an $H_{\infty}$ controller for TCSC to enhance the damping of an inter-area oscillation in KEPCO power system. TCSC location is selected by using eigne sensitivity and frequency response. Nonliner time simulation and eigenvalue analysis show that the proposed TCSC $H_{\infty}$ controller can suppress the inter-area oscillations efficiently with induced reduction model correctly.

  • A semi-active suspension system for a vehicle using an Electrorheological Fluid damper has been studied. Apparent viscosity of ERF(Electrorheological Fluid) can be changed rapidly by applying electric field. The damping force of ER damper can be selectively controlled by employing electric field to the ER fluid domain. This paper deals with a two-degree-of-freedom suspension using the ER damper for a quarter car model. An intelligent control method using fuzzy control with genetic algorithm has been employed to control the damping force of the ER damper. The GA designs the optimal structure and performance of Fuzzy Net Controller having hybrid structure. The designed fuzzy net controller has been compared with the skyhook type controller for a quarter car model. The computer simulation results show that the semi-active suspension with ER damper has a good performance in the sense of ride quality with less vibration for ground vehicle.

  • 본 논문은 2차 평활요소를 사용한 최적 연속계 유한정정 서보시스템의 새로운 설계법을 제시한다. 직렬 적분 보상기와 지역 귀환보상기를 상태귀환 루프에 도입하여 연속유한정정제어기를 만든다. 평활요소의 감쇄비와 고유 각주파 수의 결정법을 서술한다. 입출력 특성이 어떻게 개선되는지를 수치예제를 통하여 보인다. 특히 임의의 시간에 인가되는 외란 및 가변 입력에 대한 CDBC를 설계하는 방법을 제시한다.

  • The thyristor controlled series compensator can vary the impedance continuously to levels below and up to the line's natural impedance, thus enabling transmission line capability to be increased and power flow to be controlled. The dynamic performance of TCSC to increase the power system damping is mainly analyzed in this paper. The TCSC controller used here is of the PID type and the input signal to the controller is the active power flow through the TCSC. The TCSC parameters are determined so as to minimize the modal performance measure for duping of power system oscillations.

  • 본 논문은 개선된 모델 축소 알고리즘을 이용하여 범용적 제어기 설계에 대해서 제안했다. 개선된 모델 축소 알고리즘은 모델의 과도상태와 정상상태 응답을 고려하여 주파수 영역에서 구하였다. 범용적 제어기 설계는 위상여유와 등 제동의 특성을 만족하는 PID 제어기와 2차 지연 모델에 대하여 촤적화 PID 제어기 설계에 대해서 제안 하였다. 시뮬레이션을 통하여 다양한 공정에 대하여 본 논문에서 제안한 방법을 적용하여, 모델축소 방법의 정확성 및 제어기 성능의 개선을 보였다.

  • A robust position control using a sliding mode controller is adopted for the stable dynamic walking of the biped. For the biped robot that is modeled with 14 degrees of freedom rigid bodies using the method of the multibody dynamics, the joint angles for simulation are obtained by the velocity transformation matrix using the given Cartesian foot and trunk trajectories. Hertz force model and Hysteresis damping element which is used in explanation of the energy dissipation during contact with ground are used for modeling of the ground reactions during the simulation. By the obtained that forces which contains highly confused noise elements and the system modeling uncertainties of various kinds such as unmodeled dynamics and parameter inaccuracies, the biped system will be unstable. For that problems, we are adopting a nonlinear robust control using a sliding mode controller. Under the assumption that the esimation error on the unknown parameters is bounded by a given function, that controller provides a successful way to preserve stability and achieve good performance, despite the presence of strong modeling imprecisions or uncertainties.

  • In this paper, the robust superconductor flywheel energy storage system(SFESS) controller using $H_{\infty}$ control theory was designed to damp low frequency oscillation of power system. The main advantage of the $H_{\infty}$ controller is that uncertainties of power system can be included at the stage of controller design. Both disturbance attenuation and robust stability for the power system were treated simultaneously by using mixed sensitivity $H_{\infty}$ problem. The robust stability and the performance for uncertainties of power system were represented by frequency weighted transfer function. To verify control performance of proposed SFESS controller using $H_{\infty}$ control, the closed loop eigenvalue and the damping ratio in dominant oscillation mode of power system were analyzed and nonlinear simulation for one-machine infinite bus system was performed under disturbance for various operating conditions. The results showed that the proposed $H_{\infty}$ SFESS controller was more robust than conventional power system stabilizer (PSS).

초정밀 듀얼 스테이지를 위한 고댐핑 저진동 제어기 개발 (Development of Low-Vibration Controller for Ultra-Precision Dual Stage)

  • In this study, a cross-damped low vibration controller was developed to reduce vibration in ultra-precision dual stage driven by master/slave principle. In master-slave structure, the master stage leads the driving motion and the slave stage follows it so as to maintain a constant gap between two stages. In this structure, a small perturbation of master stage makes big oscillations in slave servoing stage, so a low damped master stage composed of voice coil motor makes a long vibration in settling area after driving motion profile. In this research, an effective feedback damping algorithm for increase the damping characteristics of the dual stage was developed. The designed velocity damping algorithm improves the system stability and reduces the settling time of the whole system. Simulation and experimental results show that the developed algorithm reduces settling time and improves the regulating performance.

정현파 출력 필터를 가지는 3상 PWM 인버터 제어 기법 (A Novel Control Algorithm of a Three-phase PWM Inverter with LC Filter)

  • A novel control method of a three-phase PWM inverter with LC filter is proposed. The transfer function of LC filter is the same as that of second-order low pass filter(LPF), which has a zero damping ratio. A simple method of implementing second-order LPF with damping ratio is to add a resistor in an LC circuit. However, in a real power system, adopting damping resistors is impractical because it results in losses proportional to the square of the current flowing through the resistors. Instead of inserting resistors, the proposed control strategy utilizes the measured capacitor voltages to control the oscillation of LC circuit. The overall transfer function of the proposed method is the same as a second-order LPF, and its damping ratio is controllable via control variables. The current controller can have overshoots caused by LC filter. Improved current controller is implemented by an equivalent second-order of LC filter. A 7.5 kVA PWM converter and a PWM inverter with a 5.5 kW induction motor are set up to verify the proposed control algorithm. Test waveforms are also presented to verify the proposed LC filter control algorithm.

GA를 이용한 전력시스템의 SPS제어기 설계 (A Design of SPS Controller on Power System using Genetic Algorithm)

  • A Design of GA-based SPS controller for power system stabilization was investigated in this paper. The design problem of SPS controller is formulated as an optimization problem using GA. The dynamic characteristic responses are considered to verify the performance of the proposed SPS under various disturbances and operation conditions. The simulation results show that the proposed SPS controller provides most of the damping and improves greatly the voltage profile of the system under two different disturbances.
